I see alot of comments saying idk what I would do if this was my life. the thing is, when it happens to you, you don't have a choice but to adapt. Paul is resilient, and his positivity is simply inspiring and something we should all strive to do.
Exactly! I honestly wonder if that's why so many of us disabled folk, at least in my limited experience, are the most cheerful and optimistic people around. Disability is the unthinkable to a lot of people, and for many of us who have become disabled over time, it used to be for us. And it's our lives, and we survive it and work with it every day. If we can take on this challenge, we can take on anything.
At least the "IDK what I would do" comments are better than the ones that say it would be the end of their life and they don't know why anyone continues to live like that. I've gotten those more than a few times and it sucks.
Thank yoooouuuu this is so much more respectful than "I could never!" Or "I'd give up!" Like the hell you would and what are they trying to say about a disabled person's life? To me it's just rude and ableism-coded

@@Rainbow_kidd well of course. But Matthew just doing it for a second shows all that Paul has to do throughout his day and it’s a lot. I know he doesn’t have a choice but to adapt, but it genuinely seems like he makes the best out of a shitty situation.
Cope. It seems odd until disability hits you up. And then...you cope. And once you let go of the idea that you could actually know what your future REALLY was going to be, (i wanted to be healthy into extreme old age and then unalive jn my sleep with no disability ever) you move forward with what you have. I know you mean well and he is very strong, but you basically just said his life is so bad that you would k!ll yourself if you experienced it. I think it’s important to remember that disabled people don’t have super strength, they quite literally have no other option. Paul has a wonderful life, support system, he found love and is treated so well, he makes good money doing things he enjoys, has wonderful friends and a beautiful home. He has soooooo much more than so many people, I don’t think he would trade his life for the world ❤
I'm grateful on a daily basis that the algorithm brought you to me, because you are such an incredibly beautiful couple. Paul, you're so strong and inspiring dealing with retinitis pigmentosa with a smile and a cheerful attitude. Matthew, your support is also inspiring and so heartwarming. It's easy to see why you love Paul (and his adorable Simba-look-alike other half, Mr. Maple!), but the fact that you always seem to support Paul how he needs it depending on the situation is amazing. The tricks at restaurants; mimicking his precise blindness to step into his shoes; sitting on the floor together after getting bad news; they are all simply beautiful. Thanks to all three of you!
@indianajonesprincessleia They're all precious. I love that Matthew gets Paul laughing; it would be easy to sit and feel sorry for himself. And I also love when Paul gets bad news and Matthew sits and assures him that they will always figure things out, and that he will not be a burden. I have tons of health issues and I stay single by choice because I don't want a partner to feel like my caregiver. It's inspiring to see these two.
I'm never marrying anyone unless our relationship is like this. Thank you both for letting us see how you love each other. Yours is a beautiful example to follow.❤
This is so lovely and healthy, the way he try to understand more how his husband live his life with the lack of vision is just so touching! A truly beautiful couple.😊❤
I envy Paul's courage and resilience; That he has not been limited by loss of vision, to do everything he wanted in life, is very inspiring; Many of us impose so many limitations on ourselves on a day-to-day basis that in the end life eventually fizzles out like smoke. Hugs ❤

I feel like this is how a healthy relationship looks like. Everytime I get to watch your videos it really brightens my day.❤ I wish you guys the best.
OMG that's so sweet. Not many people care enough to actually see what it's like for the other person. That's real true love! 🥰🥰
Wooooooooooow!!! What you go through daily is Remarkable!!!! You are Ah-Mazing!!!!
Blind people are magical and no one can convince me otherwise
Paul is one of the most optimistic person that I've come across on CZcams. And to be blind and be so happy is refreshing to see. Matthew is also a happy person. Love this channel. Thank you two for spreading the joy. 💜
