I ride around on my 50cc Tao Tao scooter because not only is it a nice day for a ride, but it's almost at 2000km which is when I need to do my next oil change. I talk about a few things and tell a story from years ago. Enjoy!!!

The very first moped I had was a tao tao thunder 50 and I took that bike on multiple gravel roads so it was more of my off road bike and I rode it hard I mean hard .......... it seen more rodes during the time I had it then the previous owner and man I took it to Jefferson City was my last ride before it finally quit ....... high schoolers are not where we are in mental state they don't understand it's fun but they will later when they finally grow out of that child like state of mind caring who sees them on one ...... I love the plate lol 😆 😋 the back plate on your rack is awesome larger then the storage compartment I took the storage compartment off because a few bolts rattled loose and fell off after I got it from riding all the way back home from St Charles Mo down by Ameristar Casino .... thanks for the ride

I forget the name of my first one but it looked just like this one. Pretty much all Tao Tao look the same lol. That was the one I rode to Joplin with in 13 hours. It definitely wasn't as fast as this one. I think the previous only upgraded something on this because it is fast. I also have another custom plate that says "Keeping Up With The DoorDashians" but I just can't bring myself to put it on lol. At some point I need to fix the black rack because it only has two of the three bolts on it. The metal piece inside that the third bold screws into is broke off. I still have the piece. Just needs welded back on. But it holds solid with just the two bolts on it. I remember when I was in high school, a buddy of mine had one of these and it was a blast. Kids today are so out of touch lol.

@The Outdoor Experience exactly they will learn later and think they shouldn't have made fun of mopeds when they start riding themselves .... when I go on rides my biggest fear Is curvy roads going up hills because slowing down and bends people don't expect a moped in the road so that's my fear ... anything else straight roads long stretch roads side roads next to interstates is just fine to me

Wearing full face helmet with the scooter is smart thing to do. If I had not worn such couple of years ago I would have lets say rearranged my face. I was riding at start spring, and there was patch of black ice on the road. Not much speed, but enough. Scooter rolled over, I was thrown on the road face first. Helmet's visor took nasty looking scratch. I did broke left hand's little finger, and one rib. I did find out that just after crash, I rode home, and there when shock worn off I realised that better call an ambulance. Good thing to do, I did have internal hemorrhage too....

Glad you came out alright. Yea I don’t mess around with my head. I always say I’d rather be crippled in a wheelchair than a vegetable in a bed. I’ll go half helmet when I’m DoorDashing so I don’t have to take it off and on all the time but I plan on getting a modular helmet soon. I’m about to upgrade to a 168cc next week so a modular helmet would be perfect for Dashing.
