It's a pleasure to watch you learn a new machine. This is probably the strongest pushing you have done with the machine if just dirt. The other was with mixed dirt trash that you sometimes had to roll. It's interesting to see your relationship build with it. At first you asked it to do what you wanted to do and there was lots of bogging down and backing up going on. Now you seem more to be able to ask it do do what it can do...more max power sustained pushing...picking your fights. Really fun to watch. Thanks for taking us along.

Chris, I have news for you, those 4 tubs aren't cast iron but they are like the steel tubs we used to install in people's homes back in the '70s. Oh, and for drainage, we used cast iron pipes that had to be leadded together. Packing was Oakum put into the area around the pipe before the lead was poured into the fitting. The fun side was drain pipes overhead that had to be done the same way as you would if the pipes were on the ground. If you were good, you wouldn't get burnt from pouring that lead over your own head.
You got the picture and now you know why lead joint piping was finally done away with. Cast iron gave way to schedule 40 drainage lines that could be cleaned and then glued together. That was a whole lot easier than lead joint pipes, and more environmentally safe as well.
So your using PVC piping is similar to what we used for housing 4" coming out of the house, in your case I believe you are using 6" pipe.
    Nice pond and gr8 work.

Man the ole pond gremlin's wreaked havoc on this job... Not only cost you time but repair costs.. However the finished product looks awesome... I bet it will be glorious when full..

I live in Kansas City and love watching you do projects like this. Just curious, how much does a project like this cost?

Chris, you are the man! You are definitely no stranger to adversity, but it's that "CAN DO" attitude that makes you a winner every time.
You are inspiration to us all.
