AtomRC Dolphin Updates (PIDs, best Motor Combo)

  • Over the last few months I've flown this plane a lot. It's great fun and I used it on some FPV meetings of course. Then the Motor died and I search for replacement.
    Also found out a few other tips that I collected in this vid.

    🟠 Esc swap: (always remember to do a new ESC calibrate!)
    🟠 T-Motor F90 2806.5 Long Range 1500KV 31€ 47g 1.08kw
    + T-Motor F35A ESC 2S-6S BLHeli 32Bit
    4S 7x4.2 biblade = 145kph horizontal (but 3D speed from INAV)
    26amp, 1.4kg thrust 94°C calculated Thrust/weight: 1.73
    6S with 6x4x3 Prop: Prop stall at 80%, around 100kph

    PITCH 10 20 190 this works!!!
    set fw_level_pitch_trim = 4.000 (so the plane flies with 4° nose up)
    gyro_hardware_lpf set to 20 (lower is more filter, less snappy?)
    Jittery settings: (until 22.8.23)
    set fw_p_pitch = 15 set fw_p_roll = 18
    set fw_i_pitch = 20 set fw_i_roll = 10
    set fw_d_pitch = 5 set fw_d_roll = 8
