  • Gyeon Q²M Wetcoat is a spray and rinse sealant that leaves an SiO2-based coating on a car’s exterior that’s super hydrophobic. In this video, I’ll be explaining how to apply the product to get the best durability and finish.

      How long this product will last. How often I need to apply to the car? Do I have to do anything prior? Eg using coating. Or wax. Or I just apply it direct in the clean wet car? It will last 2 3 4 months? Please let me know the appriate application and the appropriate procedure please! Thanks.

    I don't understand why Gyeon doesn't recommend applying it with a washmitt, even specifically recommending to 'just spray it on, a washmitt is not necessary'. I totally agree, and it's intuitive, that applying evenly with a washmitt gives uniform coverage _and_ means using less product.
    Anyway, fellow ND owner here! x

    Great video, explanation on point👍 I use menzerna power lock after a correction, then top it with collinite 845, being a great wax I use the wet coat to give it a even stronger bond. And also I tried your technique but I use a microfibre cloth to spread it out. I wet each panel individually, then dry it with another microfibre I don't hose it off, I know it takes longer but wow it gives a stronger bind. Cheers for the vid.

But unless it’s a perfectly still day the product goes everywhere except onto the car, I use them through a foam cannon, 25-30ml to 400ml of water with absolutely no issues.I never use them on hot/ warm panels & always dry the glass off immediately. So easy , more controlled and far more even application.

    • @AutoCareHQ
      @AutoCareHQ  Před 3 lety +1

    Do you apply Wetcoat to your windows? If so, if I then rinse, dry, and then clean (whichever glass cleaning product), won' that remove the Wetcoat protection from the glass?
    I ask because I've watched other videos, including Gyeon's, spraying Wetcoat on the glass.

    • @AutoCareHQ
      @AutoCareHQ  Před 3 lety +2

      I don't personally apply it to my car's windows because I use another sealant. I doubt a glass cleaner would remove wet coat to be honest, unless you were using something really strong then I think it's unlikely to strip the coating. If you wash the windshield with a pH neutral car shampoo and then rinse and dry it with a low-pile/ waffle-weave microfiber then you shouldn't get any streaking and that'll probably help with the durability of wet coat, more than using a glass cleaner as well.

    • @AutoCareHQ
      @AutoCareHQ  Před 3 lety +2

      I think with this kind of product you need high pressure water to rinse it to make sure you don’t get any streaking or spots of product so I’d be a bit worried about using it unless it could be really thoroughly rinsed away. It might be better to go with a drying aid or QD instead that will still be quick to apply but a bit less risky.
