    My full size table has almost everything I/O board and toy Phil makes. It's fantastic. He was great to talk to,order from and deserves his success.

    I finally got a chance to watch this video, and I absolutely enjoyed it from beginning to end! My first introduction to Phil was your last video with him last year, covering his then new flipper solenoid kit - I jumped on that right away for my ALP, haha. The community sentiment with Phil’s support is warranted; he’s great at providing support and making sure you’re taken care of at the end. I definitely had a back and forth in troubleshooting with him concerning my left solenoid not working right, and he offered to replace it.
    What I like about this build that you’re working on for someone else, is the fact you stuck the kit directly underneath the playfield, like a real pinball - so cool! The things about pinball machines are that they’re like cars, and gear heads just love popping open the hood and seeing all that glory inside, and you really nailed it in that aspect.
    When AtGames announced the new 4k ALP and it mentioned it would have solenoids, I had an inkling that it would be Phil’s kit. With how much love his work gets in the Legends Reddit sub (I’m always recommending it, haha), it’s really awesome that AtGames saw what the community was doing with the ALP, and actually reached out to Phil about his kit - similar to what Arcade1Up did with the Sinden guns!
    As much i as I love my ALP (pretty much finished modding it at this point), it just drives me to want to build a full-size vpin. With everything that I’ve learned with adding buttons, and wiring, and the software side of vpin, it is something doable - I just don’t have the space for it right now, haha!
    Thanks for sharing as always, Bee! I definitely need to check out the local pinball places in SoCal. Just got back home from our summer vacation overseas, was fortunate enough to spend a week of it in Japan. Made a stop in Osaka, and on our last day in Japan, with only a couple hours before we had to leave for the airport, I found a little pinball place less ten minutes away from our hotel! It was amazing, but I couldn’t spend too much time in there. Captured some footage of it, and will definitely share on my channel.

    Thank you for introducing me to Phil and his Cleveland Software Design. I ordered a full ssf/solenoid small kit from him with the plan to fully upgrade it into a full size vpin cabinet in the future.

    I think just using an govee sync box, or the like on the back box, putting out the colors of the playfield would add a lot cheaply. Could most likely create your own with wled code.

    I was around when Bill and Jeremy were building these cabs. Good to know one of them went to a good home. Amazing how far things have come, when they were building the cabs, they were going next level. Now they are going, next, next level.

      Thats awesome!! Did they show off any progress of the early build somewhere?

    • @jfoster7090
      @jfoster7090 Před rokem

      @@KongsRUs No, but I did send them a link to your video. I think the one you have belonged to Jeremy. He is the owner of Emumovies, the company that puts videos in all of the front ends. When they were building it, the ideas they had were ahead of the curve. They were going to add chimes, they put in the stern cabinet rails, and even add a dmd, which had not been done before. They both got so side tracked that they were just sitting in Bill's garage. Bill is super creative. I remember that he got an itch to build a dedicated Mortal Kombat pedestal. It was awesome. He brought it to California Extreme where Ed Boon saw it and was so impressed he signed it.
