just finished watching module 1 and going onto module 2. such a great instructor, i am able to easily understand and follow through everything that is being said and walked through. Dan also puts in a little twist of his personality to make it fun to learn. it definitely keeps me attentive.. this tutorial is DEFINITELY my go to learn Microsoft.

I'm trying to get a job in data entry to gain new skills and so I'm setting aside time to learn the ins and outs of Word, Excel, etc. Found your channel and I just want to thank you for asking us to pause and do it ourselves. My first comment is that though late I got some very useful and very helpful information regarding the use of my computer. . I am running 82 and in my younger days there was no possibility of learning the use of the modern Computer Skills. Now that I found the site of this "Basic "Computer skills" I am so delighted to learn more and more about it. Thank you very much for this great help you offer to the late beginners like me! An excellent tutorial, very methodical and felt like a face-to-face lesson. I would consider myself a MS Word user but not really knowing it. So many other tutorials on YT have tutors that appear to work as if from their own workstation in real time resulting in constant video pausing, but this video flows and assumes the viewer is a real beginner. Well done !

But the best tool for creating document text he completely misses. And you probably had to do an outline inhigh school and college and didn't even think about it here.
Everytime he uses the Font and paragraph sections of the Home ribbon is a FAILURE.
@aperxmim Because when you put on your resume under education: "Learned on CZcams", employers are not going to respond. Though putting "Proficient in Microsoft Office" under skills for many office jobs will help.

Mr. Dan, your are a wonderful professor. I would love to learn more about headings styles with paragraph numbers, specifically subtitles with text immediately after that need to be added in the Table of Contents: Example: "1.1. Property. The property is located in San Juan, Puerto Rico", and finally generate a Table of Contents. The only way I found to make it work is by marking the subtitles so that they would appear in the Table of Contents.

I have been using Word document for a long time, but haven't used most of the features till now. Your teachings make it look very simple and easy to learn. Wish I had learned it years ago. Thank you. This video was originally made around November 23, 2015. I realize that free tutorials on CZcams will be old stuff. The basics of word processing are the same across various brands of software and over time.
I just 'subscribed' to Microsoft 365 and I want to become expert in this group of software. I thought I would review the beginner stuff on fast speed before moving to the Expert tutorial. Of course I still have problems fixing my Microsoft password problem.

So, I particularly appreciate your outstanding presentation skills. Can you direct me to the "third party software" that you use to enlarge areas of your screen. You made general reference to it several times in your videos without identifying the vendor.

Is it possible to get a version of Word where you can access text boxes that are like miniature files? Basically, boxes that you can scroll up and down in, I mean. I can't seem to do that with my text boxes. Can anyone help me?
You've forgotten to say at the Navigating and Selecting, one more cool thing.
So, if you want to go from anywhere in the text to the start of the paragraph, you can press Ctrl+UpArrow, or Ctrl+DownArrow to move the cursor quickly to the end of the paragraph.
Other things you teaching us are pretty useful too, thank you very much, you teached me a lot. :)

Am I able to save templates on MS Word Live (one drive)? Once I used a template, the saved template was overwritten with the actual document and I lost the template.
