I absolutely love the way you make your videos. You have taken the time to carefully explain in complete detail exactly how to do each type of wrapping technique. It makes it easier to understand just how to do each technique and what to expect to occur if I did something wrong. Thank you so very much. This helps me learn more about what I am doing wrong while I am designing a piece.

Your voice and accent are so calm and encouraging. You also share practical methods on keeping even spacing and tension, which is where I have difficulty. Well done.

  • @isabelgonzalezdebaltodano2345

I just wanted to thank you because I checked out about 20 books for wire weaving from the library, but it is nowhere nearly as helpful as watching these videos. I just finished my first wire weave with some fused glass that I made and it looks incredible. There's no way I could have done it with just the books, so thank you!

I love how you use the smaller gauge wire to secure the bail vs. The way I've been doing it with larger wire and creating WAY too much bulk around the bail. Great technique for, like you said, when you have a cabochon that you don't want to cover with too much wire work. Thank you so much for your tutorials. I learn so much!

Following the advice you gave at 21:00 regarding "guiding" the wire as opposed to "pulling" was the absolute best tip ever! 👍 It really helped me to maintain a consistently sized bezel weave. My weaving wire wasn't on a spool and I broke it half way through, and I didn't allow enough to weave the bale but I think it's going to be ok as long as it never comes apart. I'd feel better if I had been able to weave without piecing it together but I wasn't going to start over when I seemed to be doing so well. LOL! 😄 But even with rubber tips, my clamp had a very tight grip and scratched the base wire. This is where your tip really paid off for me because it allowed me to weave without the clamp. Now I'm finished wrapping my White Buffalo Stone except for weaving the bale. Thank you sooooooo much! You're a rock star! 😉

Thank you so much for this tutorial!! I was looking for a birthday gift for a co-worker and she had mentioned wanting one of my wrapped crystals. With my intent in mind a beautiful rectangular piece of raw amethyst said it wanted to go to her. Completely clueless on how I was going to wrap it I snatched it up. Without you I'd still be twiddling my (insanely sore) thumbs trying to think of how to do it. You've made my day with your perfect explanation and thorough walk through. Thank you thank you thank you!!

Fantastic tutorial! I wrapped a piece of amazonite that was semi-flat but not cab cut. My wires did bend a tad along the way, but it came out quite lovely once I fit the bezel to the stone. THANK YOU for sharing these. A very relaxing and rewarding process. Next up is a slice of fossilized coral! I also really love how secure this keeps the stone.

In the beginning when you are starting the weave you put quite a bit of the wire through the spring clamp and then start weaving. How do you know how much wire you need to put the spring clamp and where do you need to start the weave?. I hope my question makes sense. 3:54

You do really beautiful work. Making a piece like you have done is not as easy as it looks. My base wires keep bending. Any suggestions? I used a clamp like you did and also also a ring clamp. I am practicing in copper. Is working in sterling silver easier? I am having trouble in paradise. Yikes! I also used 24 gauge copper for the weaving wire. Does the minor thickness of the weaving wire make a huge difference?
