I loved it. Ann Wilson is awesomeness, the best lady hard rock singer around. She's definitely not soft and Heart was quite heavy, but in the later part of their career their record company only released power ballads as singles. Many of their album cuts were very heavy rock, some bordering on metal. You guys should check out Barracuda if you haven't heard it before.

Disturbed's Divisive album was four years in the making, during which two of the band members' marriages broke down. Drummer Mike Wengren got divorced early in the pandemic and guitarist Dan Donegan went through a split in early 2022.
This song is about a disintegrating relationship where each party struggles with letting go. It was inspired by the ending of Donegan's marriage.
"That was a really personal one for me," Dan Donegan told Billboard. "During COVID-19, I was going through a divorce after 18 years of marriage. Part of that divorce process is that there was still a great deal of love we have for each other, and we couldn't imagine our lives without each other. Just that letting go, letting somebody go that you still love, but maybe the marriage just might not be working anymore... It was touching on that. It was just very personal."
Donegan came up with the concept, then wrote the lyrics with Disturbed singer David Draiman. "I threw a few lines at him, and he took the ball and ran with it." Donegan said.
The Feb 2023 David also got divorced.

"Don't tell me how to film our reactions." 😂 Love that. I seem to remember reading that this song was largely inspired by guitarist Dan Donegan's divorce. But then David got divorced too. So I have to wonder if his relationship inspired it a bit too. And yes, the guitar solo is sick.

Yeah, The Sickness got me into them, but Indestructible and 10000 Fists are my favorite albums they've done. I have fallen off them some since I've moved over to more hardcore metal, but if this song came on again, I wouldn't be mad about it at all. 😄

speaking just for myself, I got into watching reactions during the the big C19, when I couldn't get together with my friends and listen to music and bs with each other. You guys 'Rambling' is integral to that feeling, never lose that.

I saw the video they did last night. They had Moriah Formica lead singer from the band Plush, who are opening up for Disturbed on their tour do Ann Wilson's part. She killed it, I think that you are gonna be hearing about this from other people. Plush is a kickass all young female hard rock/metal band that you should look into. Moriah is the closest singer to the famous Ann Wilson that I've ever heard. There is a video of their very 1st performance live on CZcams. If you're quick you can scoop everyone else by playing it. Just saying.

Don’t know if anyone has mentioned it, but David Draiman was trained as a Jewish Cantor in his youth. Let his family’s calling to join up with Disturbed in 95/96! He and were meant to collaborate! Two iconic singers!

I am a Disturbed fan and love how you respected their craft even if youre not big fans…one thing I love is their ability to put in a change at the end of the songs where their chorus is one way the whole song and then switch it up at the end like the song Never Wrong…check it out!

This is Ann Wilson's band Heart. czcams.com/video/PeMvMNpvB5M/video.html. They were pretty hard but in the UK they only had soft hair metal power ballads that were popular: She and David are two of the best hard rock singers ever. I like the song and love the video, but prefer stuff like Down with Sickness and The Vengeful One. For that matter I prefer Barracuda and Black on Black from Heart than power ballads, but this is as good as a power ballad gets.

actually really liked this song, and I don't like a lot of the newer stuff that the bands I liked in the early 2000's that are still making music are pumping out now but I would go back to this song.
I got into Disturbed at a very young age like a lot of other bands around that time like A7X and Bullet for examples because of video games when soundtracks were unreal around 2002-2008. that being said for Disturbed personal favorites are Decadence, Stricken, Stupify by far are probably my top 3 with The Game, Ten Thousand Fists, Inside The Fire, and Indestructible getting solid playback time for me also

I would like to say a lot of things but I would bring heaviness and an escalation of rage and probably also go OT.
I didn't like the song for those reasons I can't share, but I must say Draiman is a really talented vocalist and his deep tone mixes well with Ann Wilson's one.
I love you guys! And I hope Nathan won't get so easily sick this year ❤

Such a cringe music video. They have at least 5 music videos that look exactly like this. This director only knows how to do 1 thing fr. Same colors, same fade transitions.

They do that style to match the mood of the song. Personally I love it, and I thought the symbolism was awesome (I'm divorced too, so if I wasn't maybe it wouldn't have hit me like it did).
