- Tia Mowry and ex-husband Cory Hardrict have an unexpected run-in at the Essence Black Women in Hollywood red carpet on Thursday. The encounter was captured on Instagram, where the exes were giving separate interviews to news outlets, side by side. The pair announced their split in October 2022, and continue to amicably co-parent their two children,12-year-old son Cree and 5-year-old daughter Cairo.

I definitely think they knew they were both going to this event. Maybe they weren't sure they'd see one another bc it's such a huge event. It’s a hurtful situation I’m not married never been married but I was cheated on and the relationship ended I loved him so much sometimes I still cry thinking about it I don’t think I’ll be able to hug my ex I rather not relive that pain again from seeing him but Tia and her ex husband have kids together so I know she gets emotional it’s not easy

Wow……I can totally relate to Tia. I’m 42 and just got out of a 9 year relationship and I feel so nervous and awkward about dating again. I had a date recently and at the last minute I cancelled just because it seemed, felt weird. Like Tia said, even though I’m in my 40s, 2 kids, I feel so inexperienced. Hoping this feeling goes away.

Reading the comments I don't understand how we developed into a culture of haterade. Some people want everything to be awkward, or for Tia or Cory to have made a mistake or even be miserable and regret the divorce. Especially the woman. Like when Ashanti and Nelly got back together. Comment after comment about how his ex Ms. Jackson had to be in pain seeing them together. And it usually women who lead the charge with hoping she is unhappy. For Tia and Corey, nobody was in their house and had no idea what was really going on. No matter how they look together as a couple, it doesn't make sense for them to stay together if they aren't getting what they needed. And we don't know how many times or how much they've tried to work on their marriage.

Marriage is about loving and serving your spouse and not all about what you need. You should've thought about that before you got married and starting having kids. It's not about me as husband. It's about my wife and kids.

She's basically been thirst trapping herself and Corey has been pretty much quiet this entire time. To some it may be ‘awkward’ but I love seeing two people who were once married and in love show respect towards each other. Not all relationships are meant to last forever and that is okay. But they share two beautiful children together so they will always be connected.

I'm married and will say marriage takes work for many years me and my wife choose to want to put in the work, I'm not saying things be perfect but we identify issues and work through it together we don't post anything we don't go putting it out there for others. We have our highs and lows but we get through it together no one wants to live with regrets knowing they could have done more to save their relationship or marriage.
