- Today I'm showing you how you can build a sunken railway trench with quays without mods in Cities: Skylines [Sunset Harbor DLC].
I use a special technique for that, which gives your city an extra nice touch!

Graphical Mods:
LUT: Relight Cool
Map Theme: Springwood Theme
Clouds & Fog Toggler - Can disable clouds, distance fog, industrial smog

Can we acknowledge how good Imperatur is getting? I remember watching him just a year ago, and his stuff was great, but now he is figuring out hidden mechanics in the game making past-mod -necessary-builds not require mods after all making him next level. (Edit: Well, he does use modded assets and tools, but we can ignore that and still say he is not using mods IMO)

This is almost the same as the video with the highway but this shows how much you are able to do
Also not using canals in the beginning, I suppose it would work for sunken as well
An idea for the next video! A sort of event or stadium area with concerts, parking, stadiums and some commercial. Could be quite cool
The fact that these builds use no mods is great. One thing I ask you to make is a Hollywood movie studio campus thingy, it would look cool, wouldn't it?

Pretty clever trick to be able to use the quays. I like the detail that was added by the elevated path networking because it added pillars to make it that much more realistic. Very impressive. The Vanilla tutorials show just how much you can do without mods.

Anyone else ever notice that console has no 3d grass, its just the color lol
console gpus can easily handle grass and extended lod distances if they put the game to 30 fps instead of 60 which because of the cpu it cant hit anyways.
@i am depressed but i was saying that the ps4 is capable of rendering grass if the devs put the game from 60 to 30 fps on console.

@@nomore3346 no, it doesn't matter what PC you have, it will lag eventually. It's the game itself. With mods there is much less lag, it's around 60 fps. So without mods it will lag.
That looks awesome, I was always wondering how to run a retaining wall like that. Now I know to fill it with water then drain it.

@@imperatur i followed your steps to the letter... even bulldozed accidentally a quai lol... but i copied another segment with moveit and hid the scar with trees...
Something that doesnt works for me is the not connected water pumps... i dont know why.... i had to use a water outlet to fill the hole and then pumps connected to the grid to empty it... took forever

That's a very good approximation of a structure we have in my town leaving the tunnel called the "flying arches"

Please do a city with elevated bicycle highways. I did a basic one and it was a lot of fun. One guy worked at the other end of the map from his job and he was cycling the whole way there lol

1) Hub with cargo port and cargo rail station with few warehouses
2) Hub with cargo airport and cargo rail station also with few warehouses
You can make Crago transfer facility (vanilla) ..train - road (huge) .with a adjoining warehouse district :)
If you’ve never spent a whole week building a section of this in a game while managing all the other delightful entanglements of transportation- you are missing out on an awesome experience
Try making an indian city in ur next project ...that will be the most challenging city to make for everyone😂😂..love u btw

Quay anarchy mod will mean you wont have to fill the trench with water and if you want to fine tune it use move it mod for those of you who are modders

Fantastic! What i don't understand is the fact that the sea wall is the best way to build a retaining wall of decent accuracy. Why doesn't Cities: Skylines make a free highway pack that has the retaining wall in it? I love this submerged Highway/Train look and we have a few in my area. GG impertur.
