@@artemis_furrson villagers themselves are the xp farm, I got 66 levels only by trading with them (about 11700 xp, enough to enchant everything), the only reason why I was stacking levels because I didn't have an anvil, but if you enchant exactly after getting the amount of xp (like adding depth strider to the boots when you get 6 levels), this amount is more than enough.
You can get emeralds by selling sticks to fletchers, I used giant spruce trees so I was getting an average of 80 logs per tree or 640 sticks, 20 emeralds(I looked at statistics and I mined 8k spruce logs in my hc world, "crafted" 2k emeralds, 2 almost broken diamond axes)
@@chamsderreche5750 I find wood too valuable to be traded with villagers. I just use a carrot micro farm and trade with tons of farmers to get stacls of emeralds

well its multiple people so, they are obviously going to be much faster than one person
@@InDestructibleMC yup. It compounds because each farm has 1 or more dedicated to that one build. Then each new farm makes each successive build that much easier to make.
@@Miglow so I saw the Schiller farm in DocM77 video for hermitcraft and he mentioned a tutorial, I don’t watch Mango that much do you know if this was the tutorial or if there is a more in depth one coming
@@s1mpl1fy10 if there's an ilmango tutorial I missed it. I've not been playing Minecraft lately so I'm not really following tutorial vids closely. It also doesn't hurt to check other sci crafters like gnembon or methodzz for tutorials.
@@s1mpl1fy10 oh wait, did you mean shulker farm, not Schiller farm? Ilmango has a few good vids on the new shulker mechanics and how to farm them. But the design in this video is much more refined than the ilmango videos I've seen so far. But the basics are mostly the same.

its multiple people on the server, of course they are going to make more progress. in retrospect, if they have more than 15 players but arent doing it faster than a month than it is roughly the same pace
@@InDestructibleMC I honestly assumed it was more than 1 person. Ilmango rarely works alone. And I still believe those guys have done more in two days than almost any group of MC players could do in a month. They are AMAZING!!
I can only dream of some of those farms considering how many hours they take to build

I am so glad that there is block that can be placed on most sides that spawn proofs. Could you imagine if you had to use soul sand at the top of everything and use something like signs or maybe banners. Chains maybe too.

I've been on my single player for 2 weeks and only made a slime farm and villager trading hall wtf this is insane. Big ups 💪
i mean they are more people and they colaborate you are doing good, but yeah they are very impresive

to be honest a slime farm is quite easy to build, those small ones may only take like 2 hours, but villagers are a pain to deal with

Hey mango is there a litematic for the design that y’all and doc built? It doesn’t look like kdenders or cubic’s farm
I feel like a decent amount of the overpowered speed of portal-based farms could be fixed by making other entities take as long as players to enter the Nether. It's already a little weird that it's instantaneous for everything else and takes 4 seconds for a player.
honestly that might make portal based farms irrelevant. also i do not want to be the one to convince a villager to stand in the portal for four seconds
instead of nerfing the portal id rather have the farm require more scaling to achieve the same drop rates. this way players that go through the effort of building a farm that big are still rewarded for it

And it's more than likely because whenever they die, they can basically just get the resources they lost again from their farms.

What the hell… that’s all I can say. I didn’t even have time to really grasp the achievements of the last episode. Every farm I’ve ever built now seems pointless.

It's crazy to think that such a simple raidfarm replaces 20 of your crazy witchfarms and can be build within 48 hours. Way to overpowered in comparison to the huge effort you put in on the scicraft server.
As far as iron farms go, Tango created a very efficient one on Hermitcraft earlier.
Honestly tango’s s8 design is really smart. One of the most efficient single dim iron farms I’ve ever seen.
Loving the series so far, always impressive!

I remember I installed it, used it on the realms, then after 1.16.3 hadn't updated in something like a month, within a week of my downloading the mod, it updated to 1.16.4 and it no longer worked.
Doc said that he’ll (ilmango) will make one.

in 2 days, they've gotten to such a late game stage that totems and emeralds count as "junk"...

9:35 holy crap. I never thought of using chests every other block in the early game to save iron. it can also be beneficial: more storage space and cannot be affected by redstone. my friends who have little minecraft experience, hated it when i built an iron farm because everything got easier for them as I used the iron for trading to get gear for them. i will have to limit my farms next time i play with them and this trick can help me conserve resources.
it's also causes less lag than hoppers

One cool thing about this, is that it showcases not just items/hour as a metric of good design, but also how streamlined is the design of the build? Designs that are too complicated or use more resources will be undesirable.
This is just gonna make sci craft designs even better in the long run.
The hermitcraft plugin just makes it so that the shulkers always drop 2 shells so they don't have to deal with the rng

That costum plug in for guarenteed 2 shell drops is not being used anymore on the hermitcraft server, because shells are now farmable.
What if members don't want to farm shulkers ? Grian for example
it seems like they somehow still have it (like dragon dropping elytra last season)
@@YounesLayachi then they have to deal with them being farmable and not having the plugin. The plugin was there because of there being 20-25 members on the server who all need shulkerboxes, otherwise you would have to travel like 20k blocks to get enough shells. Now it is farmable so the plugin is not needed.
@@keks137 maybe they added it in again, or it was a mistake, when the first members where endraiding it was not there and that was the explanation. It does not matter to me in any way but that was the reason😅
@@guidoheeling1179 they did add it back in cause no one built a farm yet and people wanted more it'll probably be turned off again soon

imagine - hermicraft + scicraft in one server...20 players from both server members mixed and divided into two teams and then both play for 1 month and whoever makes the best palace(or make same building with different design), which must be made of all the blocks (a survival world can have) with a huge storage (contains atleast 14580 each survival world item). It will get voted by community.

No, the evokers are killed too fast to spawn any vexes, likely just a clientside bug.

Hey Ilmango, is there any particular reason why you guys use soulsand as a kind of scaffolding in some technical builds?
Shulker can't teleport to soul sand bcoz they aren't full blocks
@@mr.mughal3419 they can teleport to the underside of the soulsand though.
Soul sand is one of few blocks that acts like a solid block and shulker can't teleport on it, probably that's why
@@azlan194 if you tower up using them, they can't teleport because the underside is facing to a block and they can't teleport to other sides
