Looking forward to Legion's completion and implementation in the main game. Will definitely make stuff much more varied and interesting.
The more stuff out there, the harder it is for "meta" to be born (since there are so many sleeping options that can be meta-breaking).
I really like the new legion models, there are finnaly 3 distinct styles:
- armdada, clean industrial look.
- cortex, rough, slaping metal on more metal warhammer style
- legion, the most sci-fi of the bunch
I love playing Legion. I'm specializing in this faction because when it's officially released in the main game I'll be ready 😉
Once again another game that was more or less won is lost due to the fact that nobody builds ground based AA. The red team was in fact so against AA that they didn't even realize that they never had an air player.
Ok ok. Late game bombing runs should always be ignored. AA is not necessary nor can we communicate an effective defense resource allocation. Abandon the base and scuttle all remaining commanders. Over and out. gg
Orange builds amphibious tanks in what's basically a desert map. Uses the only lake for a pro gamer move. 😅

I was thinking that it would be fun to make something like tanks in SC2, where they have the "siege mode" - they become stationary and their dmg is bigger and more aoe. Zero-K has something like that with the Crab unit. Of course Company of Heroes has a lot of it.
I agree. I feel like the vanguard or catapult would be good candidates for testing this idea. Effectively making a faster firing higher damage siege firing mode that locks them in place on the field and takes a second or two to enter and exit

That's a really cool feature. Maybe it could replace the high trajectory mode, especially since people tend to prefer catapults over vanguards.

The thing with the legion dgun is that it really kind of needs one. Lacking both a dgun and cloak puts it at such a massive disadvantage.
So instead of a questionably effective napalm launcher, why not a dbomb? Works the same way as the napalm, charging up and storing shots over time, firing in a fairly slow arcing projectile, and it works in a small AOE rather than a line.
Give it better range than other dguns, but a small AOE. Still able to one shot anything but less effective than the line shot in most scenarios. Also much lower rate of fire, needing to charge shots rather than firing pretty much whenever it has enough energy.
I like this idea and I think hornet does too. He mentioned something about a black hole grenade which I thought sounded like a cool way to skin exactly this idea to make it still feel a little alien but also effectively put legion commanders back into the game
