A Mawddach Night

  • Views from an overnight wild-camp above the New Precipice looking down across the Mawddach Estuary and surrounding Snowdonia.
We spent the night camped up here under superbly clear skies all night, watched Venus fall and set over the estuary, the milky way wheeling through the sky, and the odd shooting star now and then too, all the while laid up in sleeping bags next to a warm fire until it was time to hit our tents for what was left of the night. It felt more like a summer than a December night in Snowdonia...

Very nice love the light changing on the silvery water in the estuary.

Amazing pics, I would really liked to see the full tide coming right up the Mawddach, all the way, you just got maybe 50%? but still great view of it.

fantastic, amazing how much road and air traffic is around, how many hours did you spend taking these shots?

I love night landscapes, you're easily one of my favourite photographers. By the way, what music did you use in the video, I really like it
