The continuous spell card that banishes got me excited to see if it works with Infernity!! If it works like I think it does I can totally use this for more Infernity Archfiend spam!!! YEAH BUDDY!!!
it might be too silly but menkoumori could find some applications in master of ham decks for both having some disruption and also being able to reset flip monsters. Flip monsters are seeming to get some attention in the future.
That trap gather is actually kinda interesting for decks that's closer to stun related stuff cuz you can set ANY trap. So that could be normal, counter or continuous which isn't bad wit the right application 😂
Some other insights I saw with some of the cards: - Menkoumori is basically free eats in Floowandereeze, especially off of Empen's extra Normal Summon - which lacked a good leap-off point since Stormwinds' ban. Heads, it puts your opponent's monster that wasn't in Attack Position in Attack Position - and right in range of Empen's effect nullification. Tails, it's getting Book of Moon'd, and thus, also cannot activate its effects. Very nice pick for the birbs. - Translocator can also reload ATK stats to what they would be on a plain summon, which is great news for a used up Light and Darkness Dragon Lord - or devastating news for your opponent's Appolousa.
Shit you‘re right that card is stupid with Empen. Seems to now be the best low level target to search and summon in the deck. Your opponent is forced to special all their monsters in DEF so Menkoumori can always trigger to either book or negate their monster. Even if it’s luck based you get 3 interruption out of this little guy which is nutty. And the second effect also synergizes with Dreaming Town and protects your other monsters from Book of Moon. Plus as a bonus you can Synchro Summon Formula Synchron into Legatia with it in 1 in a million games xD.
Broomy in Thunder Dragon or Metaphys might be viable. The IMT continuous spell might also have some application to rearrange link monsters so arrows point to more advantageous positions.
Note: Broomy is a Light spellcaster with ATK that equals its DEF. So it’s technically an Ecclesia monster, and can be searched by Despian Luluwalilith or summoned by the Golden Swordsoul. Is it a *good* target for those effects? Probably not, but it’s a funny idea.
Broomy sounds really playable in Ghoti especially considering how they want to be banished and their primary synchro plays turn 1 rarey go above level 8 anyways.
The hand bat thing second effect can change something to face-down Defense after failing a coin flip and changing it to Attack Position. This usually wouldn't matter because they can just Summon everything in Attack, but is worth note to is a Winged Beast. So Floo, so Empen. It doesn't actually matter because Floo already has 2 different Book of Eclipse effects and they only play 1 of them, but it may come up if yoyñu want an interruption searchable with Robina and D.D. Crow is not good in that matchup

Mikanko does have trap cards as well and you do cycle through them or send 2 of them to the grave to activate their grave effect for Rivalry or Spiritwalk. So has some niche use if you open Hu Li and such. Also sets a Mikanko trap in your grave if you send it to the grave. Could work for secondary win condition if you can't summon out anything or brick or your opponent just doesn't give you a valid target so you have to equip them with equip spells to do damage instead directly. Oh right, Kiriban exist so you can search her out with the new Hare Link. And it just lets you summon out Kiriban immedietly. This is just 6 Kiriban's. Not to mention no one is going to use Little Knight on this. Yeah this is pretty good to use her. Man I want that Hare even more now. I just want to use Kiriban more. Honestly I should put her in my deck just to deal with Snake Eyes with how much they just gas.
I was just gonna comment this. Point is, what is our synchro in the following turn? We have a secured lv 6 & lv 7 Synchro. Also, one for one is a thing with this, but Ninja hands are a bit weird. Hanzo + this first turn, what do we get? So far, the best low key card we will get to put into Ninja Deck is the new STAR superpoly fusion.

You would use Ninjitsu art of Transformation to Tribute off any Ninja not bringing you value, and then book their board so you can Tribute it with Dancing Leaves or just remove it's annoying threat. This card would be a good one of to help book more shit, like Sol n Luna. I'm thinking something like Tribute Jioh with Multiplication, summon Hanzo, Tobari x 2, and Mitsu. Then you can use Mitsu to Negate, tobari to fuse, Hanzo to search, and then Transform your extra Tobari into this guy. Trap set off Hanzo or Saizo or hard drawn possibly.

It’s still a one of, which still clogs the deck consistency. It’s interesting that it’s a tuner, that’s why I was excited. They got a spell interdimensional matte transporter? I might start using that now for my fortune fairy deck, and its continuous so I can spam fortune fairy light effect? I just realized it also saves whatever monster summons its self and negates its effects, removing it and getting its effect back, but you do hae to wait for your opponent to activate an effect.

Actually really like Broomy for decks like Metaphys and Myutants who like having their stuff banished. Could give those decks some nice Synchro access, especially for Myutants who could make Arc-light to stop further interuptions
If not for Isolde banned Trap Gather could have been getting milled to protect floodgates with the grave effect. But honestly the card that I find funniest is Matter Translocator. Right now it basically is just for resetting stat values and SOPT effects, but if Konami ever borrows a page from MtG and makes "Enters the field" effects blink cards like these suddenly become extra triggers for those cards. Does yugioh need these sort of effects? No, not really. Would it be hilarious, absolutely
Broomy is a very generic special summon and you can special the other monster (which could perhaps be a floodgate or part of some non-synchro combo). Menkomouri combos with morphing jar/needle worm/book decks. I assume subterror, krawler and ninjas can also combo off the 2nd effect. Trap gather probably has some stupid combo you can do with like Reasoning and loads of traps that assist the combo. It would work well in paleozoic or trap monster decks too as extra protection. Lastly it can work in lab which doesn't have generic trap loops outside it's own archetype shennanigan. There could be potential for a lock of some sort. Translocator is fun but it's hyperspecific. Competitively it mainly counters imperm and veiler. Other than that I'd combo it with a floodgate then they can't actually return the thing you banished. BBS let's you play "you're finished" which is the monster in it's card art. It is a cont trap monster that's a 3K beatstick that can nuke opponent's board if they activated an effect.
I mean BBS isn't automatically bad, we just need more than the less than a handful of good trap monsters. Mainly what it has going for it is the fact that it can activate the trap monster immediately. Sure if we get a trap-monster archetype then I can totally see this working but if anything I see this being splashed in Illustions (a competent one at least that can quick-fire effects) only. I mean Kiriban exists as a potential board wipe, albiet janky one. It's kinda being filed under "Snake Rain" right as it was released. We just need more trap monsters (hopefully the next Illusion archtype is a full fledged one, tbh would make sense)
Broomy is searchable by White Woods Asteria and could be a one- off in White Woods/Runick/Bystial. Menkoumari could be interesting for Ninja or perhapt even Prediction Princess, seems to be a tech card that is worth to be explored. May Malaipard as loughable as it's effect is, i actually can see this card in Dinomorphia. I wished that this card would have a quick effect that allows you to play it during your opponents turn. Because you could use your monsters in hand for the fusion summoning and then special summon this card right away. But i think there could be use of this card even though it's not very searchable. There is not There is not really a trap/equipp deck but Mikanko uses some traps and they can search the traps frequently so Trap Gatherer could be useful for Mikanko to get Spiritwalk back for example. Interdimensional Matter Translocator is really good, even though it's not searchable with Thrust. In Master Duel this card could be useful because you can banish Baronne with it and get her back, this resets her Omni Negate and she has that again. You could use that every single turn on her an keep her negate active all the time. Or you could reset monsters with quick effects or that tribute themself that got negated during your turn. Be Back Site has synergy with You're Finished which triggers if 10 effects in a turn are activated, you summon it as a monster and if there is one more effect being triggered, it clears the entire field and resets itself. Important note is that it can be your and your opponents card effects in one turn. If you have something that uses a lot of effects in a turn like Melffy or similar, you trigger it again and again. I'm not sure if this spell card because it uses spell counters, if this has synergy with Endymion but i think the right deck can do some stupid stuff with it. I think Eldlich could also use it since it banishes a lot of their own cards to set new ones. Maybe for some decks a fun card, maybe even nice to have in a Paleo deck.
Could you imagine may malaipard doing a direct attack in duel links with a skill or some other way to reduce your own life points or even make this thing attack twice if that happens it’s totally nuking your opponent

the way mai melopard is worded: that 5000 atk is useless as you still take the battle damage. immediate pass, only way i see this working is in creature swap/seizure type decks, if those are still alive.
Yeah… unless you reduce any battle damage you take to 0 or redirect it back at your opponent through clever tricks. There are ways to potentially abuse it but they probably are convoluted. Will check to see how yubel is worded to see if attacking into yubel with it results in a null value. Edit: yeah it probably would, but you would need something to prevent the effect damage from killing you before the battle.
BBS a.k.a BIG BULL SHITE! imagine BBS staying on the field for the turn needed for it not to get destroyed, couldn't be anyone. MST, Cosmic, heck, cards that place it somewhere else, harpie's lightning storm, feather storm on whatever you set with this card, solem warning, solemn in general, the continuous spell (or was it trap) that counters continuous spell, YOU'RE FINISHED!, the continuous trap that prevents the use of counters being placed, anti spell fragrance, by extension - ice barrier warlock, royal order, royal decree, freaking geminis, GEMINI monster decks have an early out to this card. ironic that YOU'RE FINISHED! is a better card than BBS, and *THAT'S A TRAP! WATCH OUT!* fr though, this card is a waste of a good tree. the lorax does NOT approve.

The returned card is not the same as the banished card. Any once per turn effects can be re-used.
For me, it feels like a more useful Senet Switch that can reset certain non-opt monster effects

trap gather is a foolish burial goods target for monarchs, true draco, eldlitch, and maybe labrynth/lament.

Trap gather probably has some stupid combo you can do with like Reasoning and loads of traps that assist the combo. It would work well in paleozoic or trap monster decks too as extra protection. Lastly it can work in lab which doesn't have generic trap loops outside it's own archetype shennanigan. There could be potential for a lock of some sort.
Translocator is fun but it's hyperspecific. Competitively it mainly counters imperm and veiler. Other than that I'd combo it with a floodgate then they can't actually return the thing you banished.
BBS let's you play "you're finished" which is the monster in it's card art. It is a cont trap monster that's a 3K beatstick that can nuke opponent's board if they activated an effect.
Only after 10 cards have been activated can you use it. There are so many outs to BBS
BBS is meant to search “you’re finished”. Would’ve been much better if it let you activate ignoring its summoning conditions though.

I mean BBS isn't automatically bad, we just need more than the less than a handful of good trap monsters. Mainly what it has going for it is the fact that it can activate the trap monster immediately. Sure if we get a trap-monster archetype then I can totally see this working but if anything I see this being splashed in Illustions (a competent one at least that can quick-fire effects) only. I mean Kiriban exists as a potential board wipe, albiet janky one. It's kinda being filed under "Snake Rain" right as it was released. We just need more trap monsters (hopefully the next Illusion archtype is a full fledged one, tbh would make sense)
That first continuous spell is basically just a way to abuse soft once per turn effects.

Trap Gather reminds me of Gren Maju and Mage Power. I'd probably use it at one copy in something like Pure Paleozoic

Broomy is searchable by White Woods Asteria and could be a one- off in White Woods/Runick/Bystial. Menkoumari could be interesting for Ninja or perhapt even Prediction Princess, seems to be a tech card that is worth to be explored.
May Malaipard as loughable as it's effect is, i actually can see this card in Dinomorphia. I wished that this card would have a quick effect that allows you to play it during your opponents turn. Because you could use your monsters in hand for the fusion summoning and then special summon this card right away. But i think there could be use of this card even though it's not very searchable. There is not
There is not really a trap/equipp deck but Mikanko uses some traps and they can search the traps frequently so Trap Gatherer could be useful for Mikanko to get Spiritwalk back for example.
Interdimensional Matter Translocator is really good, even though it's not searchable with Thrust. In Master Duel this card could be useful because you can banish Baronne with it and get her back, this resets her Omni Negate and she has that again. You could use that every single turn on her an keep her negate active all the time. Or you could reset monsters with quick effects or that tribute themself that got negated during your turn.
Be Back Site has synergy with You're Finished which triggers if 10 effects in a turn are activated, you summon it as a monster and if there is one more effect being triggered, it clears the entire field and resets itself. Important note is that it can be your and your opponents card effects in one turn. If you have something that uses a lot of effects in a turn like Melffy or similar, you trigger it again and again. I'm not sure if this spell card because it uses spell counters, if this has synergy with Endymion but i think the right deck can do some stupid stuff with it. I think Eldlich could also use it since it banishes a lot of their own cards to set new ones. Maybe for some decks a fun card, maybe even nice to have in a Paleo deck.
I could see translocater possubly being used in a ghoti or metaphys deck.

It can't synchro lvl 8 or higher, and swordsoul monsters don't have effects when banished

In a banish deck it's a plus. And it only locks out extra deck special summons. It's very niche but there's some potential for cheeky lines with it

that 5000 atk is useless as you still take the battle damage. immediate pass, only way i see this working is in creature swap/seizure type decks, if those are still alive.
Yeah… unless you reduce any battle damage you take to 0 or redirect it back at your opponent through clever tricks. There are ways to potentially abuse it but they probably are convoluted. Will check to see how yubel is worded to see if attacking into yubel with it results in a null value.
Edit: yeah it probably would, but you would need something to prevent the effect damage from killing you before the battle.
