- We created this Citra Pale Ale beer making kit for two types of people: folks who have never brewed before and experienced brewers who want to brew something smaller and easier than they usually do. Making beer has never been easier than it is with this kit, which allows you to brew beer at home quickly and efficiently.

FYI for anyone getting started, you can upgrade this to all grain just by adding a brew bag or large muslin cloth to your setup. Overall this kit looks awesome for doing experimental batches before going to 5 gal, just ordered one for myself for that reason.
I agree.. I've been making cider and wine and am going to try some beer.. definitely not going right to 5 gallons..I use 1 gallon glass jars with plastic lids and airlock.. Easy to clean and have worked well for me
Burial in 1 hour
Fantastic job with this starter kit, guys! Great way to get started, and makes so much more sense than some of the other beginner kits out there. Job well done.
Short, simple, and straight to the point. Great video!
I’ve brewed 3 styles so far on the Clawhammer 120v system. The 1st an Irish Red that came out fantastic, 2nd a German Festbier is still lagering and the 3rd a robust porter is fermenting. Extremely pleased with the system…really makes brew day easier and allows me to brew the beers with the flavor profiles & complexity that I want. Thanks guys!
Great kit for starting out! Time lapse shots are always fun to watch. Cheers!
Absolute great way to get people into brewing! Awesome job, as always. Let's make homebrewing great again! Cheers
Emmet: the Benjamin Button of homebrewers. Starting all-grain, ending back at extract. :)
The happy Viking B-roll shots at 4:44 were a nice touch. Great video and the kit looks cool as well. As a n00b, I appreciated the footage showing all the mistakes (boil-over, over carbonating, etc.). Thanks for sharing 🔥🔥
Man I wish this existed when I got started!
It’s like Mr. Beer, but actually good!
Great kit for starting out!
Boil over aint no joke it will mess up Brew day real quick. Great video. Long live Emmett the lorax!
The thumbs up at 4:44 every one needs a cheerful friend like him 😂👍🏽👍🏽
This is the best beer making video that I have ever watched. You guys explained and showed how it is done perfectly. I've made beer only once before, but now I definitely want to do it again!
Gotta say this looks like a lot of fun
Noice video. Even if I've brewed quite a bit I really enjoy watching all your stuff!
I found that a short piece of hose ( 2 or 3 inches ) attached to the spigot will allow the bottling wand to hang within easy reach and will speed bottling significantly. Just place a drip pan on the floor under your wand.
Been waiting for this so I can brew on my boat!
Nice video and kit! :)
Cool stuff! Thanks!! 🤘
"Good Stuff," merci.
Great video and wonderful information
Cool starter kit
You're pure talent.
Need more of these in the set up, lets see a kettle sour!
Just a quick tip, cooling down the wart in the fridge might sound like a good idea, but it can actually create condensation inside the fridge. Over time, this can lead to increased ice buildup on the cooling element, potentially causing future issues. Just something to keep in mind!"
Fridges have a defrost cycle to prevent just such an event..I cool in the fridge with no issues, but I guess it also matters how often you do this
Man, this thing uses more sanitizer than I did throughout the entire Covid year. Solid 10/10
Sent this to my younger brother who may be interested in home brewing. 1 gal batch equip is right up his alley, given the space constraints at his house.
Nice kit and video!
Thanks!
The beer volcano was awesome...
Cool! Merci.
Whats the ratio for the sanitizer solution? The kit only comes with a small vial of it. 1/5 of the bottle to 1 gal water or something else?
Thank you
I use the flip top bottles.
Pro tip: throw that duxtop under the 5 gal 120V claw hammer to halve the heat up to mash temp and invigorate the boil.
Just saw Kyle drive by my house giving me a serious quizzical look. That was an odd start to my day.
Claw and hammer supply I got one of your beer kits and there was a scale anyways the film on the actual scale got peeled off a bit I was wondering if this was good or bad for my beer
Where do I buy the ingredients in SA?
That's a lot of work, l think l will just go and buy my beer at the store😄
Can you make a decent-tasting belgian-style beer in this kit (specifically a tripel or flemish red ale)?
Doesn't have to be perfect, just good enough that I can avoid spending $7 on a bottle of Westmalle or Duchesse de Bourgogne.
Is filtered water a great source vs tap water an using the tablets?
Calling all one-and-done-ers! ooo oooooh!
Rad! Can each of your beer kits be named after Hammers?

2. Mallet Lager

6. Tack Hammer Pale Ale maybe?

I noticed at 2:44 there are suds left in the fermenter from the sanitizer. Is it important to leave those in there? Or should I rinse those suds out before moving forward? Thanks!
starsan sanitizer is meant to have the foam left behind. it's safe and supposedly breaks down into nutrients for the yeast
I make mead. Does having the yeast eat the sugar in a bottle not cause bottle bombs?
Were do you get it from?
I like doing 1 gallon batches with these "jar" fermenters with the spout, instead of a glass carboy, BUT think they are charging too much ($100 !). You can get a big mouth jar with lid and spout for $40 (at most), and the extract or grain kits can be found for $16-20. Hopefully they will lower the price or allow you to buy just the fermenter. But happy that they are branching out into this "newbie home brewer" area.
I use 1 gallon glass jar with wide mouth and plastic lid with airlock..$15 bucks on Amazon
Good video, however dry malt extract sure does not need to be boiled 60 minutes. It only needs to be sanitized. I do, however boil mine for 15 minutes.
What would the alcohol content be?
Arab aprove this 🥃🥃
You aren't leaving soap foam in the fermenter are you?
My well water is incredibly pure
What is inside the muslin bag?
me and bro gonna be walt and jessie wit dis shit
Won't the sanitizer affect the beer?
How to make arak bro please😠
Don't think boil over is the worst thing that can happen during homebrewing.
You have gallons of boiling sugar filled liquid. That can burn. A lot.
Bottle bombs also sounds worse.
@@rickyjayalexander Depends if you have ever seen a brewer suffering third degree burns to 60% of their body or not :|
@@frankjames6276 guess that does sound worse then a shard of glass to the jugular. ;)
The kit they offer you can find way way cheaper
In 2004, my father and godfather tried to make their own beer (lager) in the basement. It didn't end well. They put too much of something in and woke up in the middle of the night to POW! POW! POW! They walked into the basement and saw that sixteen out of the twenty bottles of their homemade lager EXPLODED! Beer was EVERYWHERE! On the ceiling, the wall, and on the floor (I mean, duh). Ever since, they just buy Samuel Adams or something.
You forgot to start with "I don't even like beer"
This is way to much to do to make beer😂 holy shit lol
Do you dress your self in the morning? Or is that too much work?
0:57 if i live in first world countrybwitb good wster not treated, ?
Unlike ny
Only thing this kit could use is a blow off hose. Nothing more unsettling than a blown up fermenter to the brand new brewer!
No, the quickest way to cool a wort is to only use 1/2 the water to boil the wort. After simply add the other 1/2 of water COOL. Will drop the brew instantly to almost pitching temperature
So only half the wort is boiled?
No. If 2liters is at around boiling point 95c and you add 2L at 15c, the final temperature of the mixture will instantly become 55C@@M.F.Hafizhan
I'm the 1000 number liker of this video..
I have a clawhammer 240W system but the young'ins using this will be a one and done. IMO They will be lazy and just buy a six pack after trying this.
should be just titled another way to make beer, compared to the coopers kit its a lot more work.
You don't have to aerate wort before or after adding yeast. It's a misconception. Yeast can start fermenting and multiplying just fine without oxygen. BTW the wort will be sufficiently oxygenated automatically after cooling due to atmospheric pressure.
Same with wine, I never aerate and the yeast seem to figure out what to do every time..I do premix my yeast in some warm water though instead of just dumping it in.. probably do the same for the beer
Man i remember when this channel used to make great videos...what happened to those days?
Dude seriously, the ROI will take forever...
Your sales pitch is for people with absolutely no math skills!
“Chief operating officer” - Gen Z make believe titles
Would be nice to consider non Americans and also give metric temperatures otherwise ..... nice 😊
This is NOT the easiest method to make beer dawg!
you should add a disclaimer if you drink too much you could gain some weight
Or if you drink too much you can get pregnant by an elephant
Killer.
LoL, it's not pronounced "wort" though it is spelled that way. It is pronounced "wert".
I struggled with that when I first got started. Kept seeing the word in print and instead of pronouncing it like "word" I said wOrT. I then kind of bastardized my pronunciation of it as a combo of the two. Like woert for a while. Took me a long time to train my brain, so to speak, and say wert. 👍
Quite the unemployed project.
Idk I have a job
I also just so happen to have everything for it and my wife got me a little brewers kit.
So hypothetically yeah and nah. Sounds fun
Looks nasty
