I think this video was well done and very helpful for a lot of people that are not super computer savvy and those who just need help getting started! Good job, Courtney 🙌✹
As for the “to destash or not destash” subject at hand- yeah so maybe it doesn’t always make sense, but to someone who was looking for that specific kit for whatever reason, it’s great to have the option of finding something on destash. Maybe they just want to make their money back bc they’re not able to devote the time to diamond art anymore or whatever the reason. Whatever the case, if it’s not for you, that’s cool too. I also buy new for the warranty and for the fact that I’m supporting artists who have a dream and are working artists (which isn’t an easy lifestyle!) If you like to hit the destash sites/groups, I’ll see you around! đŸ˜‚đŸ˜‚â€ bc I love finding a unicorn!thanks again for the video!

Thank you! I know it was a bit pieced together, editing isn’t my forte. But I did try to be detailed for those who haven’t done any of this before. I agree that it’s great to have an option for people who missed out on a kit. I am preferring more and more to buy new rather than destashed as well, although I did buy destash more before. The artists totally deserve the sales! I’ll definitely let people know about unicorns I might want to destash!

Thank you so much for doing this video! I found it very helpful ❀ I have a couple that id like to destash that bought when I first went ham on DP’ing and since then I’ve decided I don’t enjoy the color pallet so I’ll never do them. This was very informative, thanks again!

I understand reselling, BUT some things just fly in the face of logic with a lot of destashers. Someone buys a kit priced at $74.99, pays $10.00 in shipping and $5.50 in tax equaling $90.49, but used points or a discount and received said kit for a much lower price: $50.23 (50% off in points, plus tax and $10.00 shipping) . They destash the kit for the going price of $70, which includes the original shipping and taxes paid by the destasher. The buyer then not only pays for the taxes and shipping for purchasing that kit from the destasher, but also pays for the shipping and taxes the original buyer paid as well totaling $85.11 (includes $10 shipping plus tax). I know a lot of people do it, but I just cannot see the logic in doing so UNLESS the destasher has the price at a MUCH lower price than the original company they got it from. Otherwise, I would just get it directly from the company and bypass the destasher altogether. "But but Bella!! What if the kit is discontinued???" Well, if I had really wanted it, I would have bought it when it was released, besides most discontinued kits are older kits, using older drills, so I would pass. 😏😝đŸ€Ș😜😛😋 Good instructional video though, I know a lot of people destash and buy destash kits, even though I can't wrap my head around it...hahahahha

Yes! That’s what’s interesting about all this, is that everyone does it a little differently. Market price of discontinued kits is a phenomenon. I do price it to lower the price. Like something listed for 70 will probably end up selling for 55. It’s so confusing. To set things straight, by reselling, I meant I used to go to different thrift stores and find antique or retro items or clothing that people are looking for but can’t find anymore except at second hand stores. I would resell that and that’s why I know the ins and outs of reselling. I absolutely do not just resell kits. Going back, I think people sometimes realize they wanted the kit after all and go and find it on destash sites. I know it’s happened to me a couple of times. Once you take shipping into account, a gradually lowering price point, and the cost of the packaging and everything like that, then if you are pricing reasonably, people do get their money back this way and not more. I hope that clears things up! But everyone does it differently
