Rebecca, I’m not a frequent commenter, but after watching today’s WIP and waffle, I just wanted to say that I’m glad you are finding a good balance between enjoying your family time, and running this amazing business that I’ve had the privilege of watching you build from scratch. I’ve been with you for several years, and to see what you’ve been able to do with your passion for this craft is amazing. I understand that it can take time to find what the perfect rhythm is that will still give you a life you can enjoy with your family, and recharge. I was just WIPping along when I heard my name. At first I thought you were talking to someone else with my name; but I recognized what I had written to you. You were talking to me!!! What fun!!!
It was a beautiful outdoor wedding. The weather was perfect! The venue was on the Guadeloupe River. My grandson kept watching for "crocodiles "; but only found a sunning turtle and dozens of Cardinals in the trees. My brother absolutely loved his pug diamond painting that I did finish in time. He's going to make a frame for it.
He remembered that it was my 70th birthday, so he grilled supper and got my favorite birthday cake for me. And he got to tease me about being older. That's fair, I'm 5 years older than he and his twin are.
I've just kitted up and started on a new diamond painting by Danielle, aka Sticherista. It's such a cute cat picture and I'm sure I have some little nieces who will love it!

I'm so happy for you getting your weekends back. My nephew was interested in my paintings more when he was two and three, he'd just randomly place diamonds anywhere he wanted and making me mildly anxious at the same time, now he's four he prefers sand. My nieces idea of diamond painting is holding my pen and basically wacking my painting with it, also rearranging my pots in the case and using them as shakers. But she is only two and I get snuggles because she sits on my knee to do it.

I have not watched your WIP and Chats ( waffles) in awhile. So it is nice to be back.
I am currently working on Golden Cocker Spaniel by Peggy Collins. Though Dachshunds are my favorite breed of dog, Cocker Spaniels are a strong second.
I went to Las Vegas last week. Had fun, and was great not to have my sinuses bothering me.
Speaking of hankies, my Canadian Grandma always carried a pink hankie. I was a child of the 60s, and 70s. So, I have wonderful memories.

Hi Rebecca, I'm happy for you getting more sort of work life balance in your life. As a self employed person that is the worst struggle - keeping your business running and also not letting family etc down. I'm working in the company that my brother founded a couple of years ago. So I know what you're going through.
I got some of my diamond painting done while listening to your waffle. I like the longer waffles and I'm looking forward to June Waffle - also thinking about which painting to do.
I remember when I would call my grandmother, I would ask her what she was doing and her reply was, "Oh, I'm just puttering." It didn't matter if she was just sitting and watching TV, she was always puttering. She was from Arkansas (pronounced Ark-kan-saw). She would say that to anyone that called or came by.
Hi Rebecca love your whip and waffles. I have always had a runny nose due to allergies. So have used a lot of Kleenex thur my life. So two years ago I made my own hankies out of old t shirts as a way of recycling and keeping stuff out of the landfill. Thanks for all you do.

I carried tissues for the kids along with baby wipes. I still carry packs of tissues and people always look to me if they need one. My husband has always carried a cloth handkerchief but it has always been to clean his glasses, he uses tissues for his nose . My Nan always had tissue paper in her pocket for whatever it was needed for.
I'm gonna have to check out that kitchen tour then ^^
Also as far as the pick up tools and crayons go i'm always using an old crayon for my specials and ABs and i find it works great! And you don't have to be so careful since you can press a little bit more than you probably can with a pick up pen.
The painting is coming along very nicely, she really is pretty with all her blue markings❤
Sorry for the following novel that is my comment. 1. I live in southwestern Oklahoma and summers here are hard. It doesn't rain much, but it gets really humid and temperatures between late June and mid-August are regularly over 100 degrees Fahrenheit. I have asthma, and once it gets up over 100, it hurts to breathe outside. My lungs feel like they're on fire. 2. I love introducing kids to diamond painting. I'm a special education teacher's assistant at an elementary school and introduced the students I work with to it 2 Christmases ago, and they love it. I actually talked to my principal, and I get to start a diamond club next school year. I'm going to spend the next few months collecting supplies.
As a child I had a jigsaw puzzle with a fox and pups in the woods with the den. I did it so many times I could do it in 45 mins it was 500 pieces and I was probably around 8-12 years old.
Working on watch two after a few days. I ended up getting sick with a bug, so I rescheduled my test for next Friday, the 10th of May. It’s an annoyance, but worth it to me, as I want to not be sick… now to find the motivation to study.
I FINALLY ended up finishing Moonlight Bath a few days ago, which I started on April 11th, 2023. Now I decided to kit down Day Fishing at the Mill from DAC as I was not enjoying it, work on finishing up the last three budget paintings I have, and then work on Cosmic Trip. I just can’t wait anymore, so I kitted it up!
Today I ended up ordering the twist on resin pen from DAC, a few multiplacers (a 4 and 7; then a normal single placer with points) and Cara Mia by Mandie Manzano. I’ve wanted to do a Mandie for awhile and while I really want to do Where the Fun Never Ends (I’m not an Adventure Time fan, but the colors made me fall in love), but that was out of stock and the Addams Family was one of my childhood favorites movie wise.
Also, as I diamond paint with my left hand (I’m right handed) while I wait for my normal nail polish to dry, it makes me appreciate the speed that I have when I paint with my dominant hand. It feels like I can place 2-3 more right-handed, it’s crazy. And yes, I know I could’ve waited for my nails to dry, but I didn’t want to waste my diamond painting with Rebecca time, hahah.
When you want to cut a painting down before placing drills, put washy tape directly on the canvas and cut on the outside of the washy tape. Then you have a border. Cut the washy tape off when done

Hitting pause, (regarding Luna’s bark) “that one was either a bird or a leaf” 😂 My mom has a little dog, I call him Sir BarksALot 😂 he is always looking for something to bark at, falling leaves included!
Hello Rebecca, I canceled my Amazon prime because most orders don't arrive within the proposed day. Now it arrives up to three days . Can't justify getting charged every month for somethingI barely use . Still trying to get the audible stopped . Trying to trim the fat from my unnecessary spending. My income and outgo are fairly close and doesn't leave any money for groceries. Enjoy the spring days . Summer for use is coming up really fast .

Hi Rebecca, regarding Lego - I am one that builds them and takes them apart and bags each element, and labels them. I did that with my succulents kit. I took the kit home to visit my parents and left the succulents for her to enjoy. I will be getting them back, and just between us, let’s hope she puts the correct pieces in the corresponding bag 😂 My mom likes to build and display and she loves the botanical kits. I also got her a Groot kit (from Guardians of the Galaxy) kit #76217 - she’s gonna love it❣️ it’s for her birthday in June.

Love the mega wip and waffle!!! I love hearing Luna! I don't mind the barking at all! Both my dogs have vet appointments this week. My youngest is Thursday and it's just his annuals. But my 13 year old has a spot on his eyeball that just popped up that we're worried about. So the vet got us in right away tomorrow (Tuesday). Fingers crossed it's nothing bad.
You may have discussed this before but i'm wondering if you can explain how you put putty into your multi placer. I'm wanting to order some and try it, but I'm not sure how to use it.
To the person who loves Winnie the Pooh, I'm the same with Eeyore. I love him so much. I call him my Spirit Animal.

He is such a beautiful gentle boy, I can't understand why his owners through him out and don't want him back 😢 .. he is neutered and chipped, about 7 yrs old and white n black.. I am so glad he found our garden to camp in.. 😋😁💚
Speaking of advent, are you planning on releasing it early for budgeting purposes this year? And do you have any ideas towards a diamond painting for advent? If it’s not too spoilt, haha…. It’s not even June and here’s the beginning of advent talk.
Also, please tell me I am not the only one who has already kitted up the June event kit. I am doing “Hugo the Hege” from DAC. I’m also using that kit for DP for Pets event in June by Diamond Painting Anonymous.

I had my eyebrows waxed last week. I’m used to that discomfort…er…pain. Suddenly, my girl slapped wax over my upper lips. Wowza! 😮That was a surprise since she had never done that before. I looked like a friggin’ clown for 2 days! 🤡 Red and irritated skin. I warned hubby I would not be going to church if I still looked like a clown on Sunday (it was better by then). I don’t wear makeup and it was too noticeable for too long. Not sure if I will be willing to experience that again…will have to have a chat with my girl. My sympathies to those who have fun with wax to get ready for summer.
None of my grandparents or parents have ever carried a hankerchief. By the time I was around, I only had my maternal grandpa mother (my parents had a 30 year age gap and I was a miracle baby - a pregnancy that was considered “geriatric” for a woman). I’m the youngest by, at the minimum, 20 years older than my siblings, so I grew up as an only child and see them more as aunt and uncle figures. Anyways, derailed thought train aside, instead of a “hankie”, I learned that anything disposable can be something to blow your nose on. Restaurant napkin? Toilet paper? Paper towels? All acceptable. Ironically, we are picky on the brand of tissues we use, but anything works in a pinch when you’ve got genetic sinus issues and allergies to pollen, having tissues beside me at all times is necessary.

I am STILL thinking about the ending of Fourth Wing and still have not bought the next book. It’s sitting in my save for later for when I pass my reading test, haha.
I am still working on City of Glass, but I also started rereading A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas as TikTok renewed my interest in finishing the series after years. Unfortunately, I’ve gotten two major spoilers in the last book that I haven’t read yet, but that book is on my birthday wishlist anyways (my birthday is the 19th of May). It does mean I need to buy new copies of the books I own so the series will match - they’ve redone the covers, and while I do own the coveted editions that I won’t sell, despite being highly wanted by many, I need my books to match! And with new editions of Sarah J. Maas’s other series, Throne of Glass, I need to buy those too… and the new series that she’s written in my time not reading… being a reader is expensive! Is this Legos 2.0?

You know I tell my hubby that there is ALWAYS laundry to be done. Most people do laundry with clothes on (me included), therefore, there are always dirty clothes. 😂
Hi Rebecca, it was my comment that you said that someone must have had their Weetibix. In the US, it is the same as someone having their Wheaties. Wheaties is a cereal here in the US that has wheat and bran mixed together into a flake. They feature prominent athletes on the boxes.
I was just going to say this too! My family uses this phrase alot. My aunt always says "Someone ate their Wheaties"
Wetabix was sold in Canada as well.

What type of dog is luna? I have a Chihuahua and her name is leia, pets are so SO loyal, they melt My heart, My doggie also sits everywhere with me hahah❤

Hi Rebecca, back again, 1 hour in. maybe you could do some prep for de-kitting by putting all the same DMC from all 3 kits into one bottle, leaving you with alot less to do on camera.
