In his purport to Srimad-Bhagavatam 3.5.1, Srila Prabhupada writes, “Vidura had already surpassed the fallible nature of the living entity in conditional life due to his being acyuta-bhava, or legitimately absorbed in the devotional service of the Lord.” Like Mahatma Vidura, Srila Prabhupada is always acyuta-bhava, and is unfailingly infallible. In the first chapter of the Third Canto we hear how Vidura caringly pro- vides sagacious guidance, for which he is not just not appreciated, he is rebuked and rejected. Analogously, perhaps precisely in those state- ments from Srila Prabhupada that we find irritating, and wish to deny, minimize, or reject, there lies precious gems of godly guidance, with potency for our detachment from material identification, and for our intensified identification as spirit soul, servants of the pure devotee of Sri Krsna.
