    This is just insane! I was reading about Balog's study in my APES textbook and just needed to see it. I don't know how images like this aren't motivating more people to be more environmentally friendly and work on fixing this large scale problem that is killing us all. I hope one day, we can all just live in a greener, safer world.

    Meanwhile an average 2021 influencer with a totally empty message at least, has millions views and subscribers to watch every precious second of their pointless behaviour.
    Social media projects our useless ego and at our silent moments we might have a spark of wisdom that we can see a bit further of what's going to happen if we don't try to change our state of mind.

    The video is really great. The time has come when we need to be quite conscious regarding our and Earth's future. This video awakens us. Hats off to the makers of the video.

    James, very good video. You should go back and record the ice loss in the 2020s.

    Watching this is late November, 2021, and we’ve not had a day below 32 degrees yet, the roses are still blooming, the trees still have their leaves, and the grass is still green.

    James Balog ha hecho un trabajo magnífico al demostrarle al mundo los efectos tangibles de la crisis climática que venimos viviendo desde hace unos años. ¡Excelente video!

    Public perception is very important but as long as politicians are financed by vested interests, they will do what the vested interests demand. Who Pays the Piper Calls the Tune. It really is that simple.

    And my current ongoing thought is, I suppose your driving some sort of vehicle spewing out the very stuff that your survey is blaming for this travesty to the only home, we selfish disgusting beings, are sharing with much higher life forms that evolved beyond this stage, but, are getting the residual. Come on, STOP-USEING-FOSSIL-FUEL-ON-ALL-FRONTS!

    I can't comprehend why so many Conservative Christians still deny climate change. As Christians, are they not supposed to care about God's green earth and want to protect God's creation and its people? As conservatives, should they not care about conserving beauty and nature? It seems so paradoxical to me for someone to say, "I am a Conservative Christian and climate change is bull." But for now I'll just be singing "AISURANDO AISURAAAANNNNNDOOO"

      It’s in the Bible to care for the Earth, but Conservative Christians also want to bring about the Rapture because they’re so brainwashed. And preachers like Jim Bakker make money selling doomsday preparation. It’s the closest thing to Sharia law, which is ironic because they fear that so much.

    Seriously are we going to take a science lesson from a photographer? This is beyond the pale. At 7:00 into the lecture he produces a graph of 400,000 years of co2, temperature and sea level readings. He has the effrontery to claim that 280 ppm is the natural peak of co2. Sheer absurdity. For the vast majority of this Earth's 4.5 billion year history, co2 has been at levels of 1000 ppm and higher. We are in a period of co2 starvation compared with the geological past. Now as far as the majority of Arctic glaciers receding are concerned nobody is denying that is happening. It's been happening since the end of the Little Ice Age (1850). In fact the fast recession of glaciers happened from 1850-1880 when co2 was at 280-300 ppm. But for these alarmists they seem to think the climate was just jogging along at a steady pace for hundreds of thousands of years and then we starting burning fossil fuels and threw nature out of whack. It's just not true.

    • @zeph6439
      @zeph6439 Před 6 lety +3

      To the best of my knowledge climate change is natural, and manifests in a cyclical fashion. It's linked to precession and the concurrent gradual shifting of the desert/wind and rainfall belts. So there isn't anything that we can do about it - however the pollution of the planet by man is unnatural, and is exacerbating the effects of normal climate change. I agree that alarm-ism doesn't help but arrogance against nature and denial-ism doesn't help any either. Fossil fuels have to go, and the sooner the better..
