SCS Catback for 3.0T VR30 Q50 Q60 | SCS Custom Catback SOUNDS SO GOOD!!!!

- After much demand, here it is!! The video explaining how the SCS Custom Catback fits and sounds on the 3.0t Q50 and Q60!! Replicate at your own risk. Now, we haven't yet seen this setup on the dyno for the 3.0t, so we cannot be certain in terms of performance or peak HP and TQ numbers. This is where the variations mentioned could be beneficial.
If you are keeping factory cats in place, consider just installing the Boral mid-muffler OR just the flow fx resonators. If you are going with lower/full downpipes, consider doing the complete system. If you plan on tuning the car, consider going with the 3" variation in increase flow. If you are more concerned about hp numbers than exhaust note, you may want to use an x pipe rather than the borla and simply go straight back to the flowfx resonators, which won't restrict flow at all--all in 3" diameter. What we need now, is dyno results for this setup and it’s variations. We know now that it sounds good, but we need some numbers!
Check the description for some thoughts regarding increasing flow and different combinations.
So in your opinion is the borla catback for the q60 worth it ? Wish I watched this video before buying
I bought a 20 q50 last month and been watching your videos like crazy. I will record the installation of the SCS CATBACK !!!!
Thanks for following along!
I have SCS exhaust on my 3.0T and love it also putting catless LDP on soon
Can you post video clips?
POST A CLIP!!!
What do you all have and are they on stock cats
Thanks for the sound clips. I'm still learning.
The timing on this is immaculate, im going to keep this in my saved to see what setup i can possibly do. Do you have an idea of how much hp that we can gain with this setup?
Edit: I saw the pinned comment right now
Thanks for checking it out! But see the comments from Matt--he has one of the cars in this video and he estimates he's at about 415hp with his mods and tune. I believe he has 2.5" as well. May be able to pull a bit more with 3" and foregoing the borla, but you'd have to consider a change in overall tone if you went that route.
@@SpeedCultureStudiosand would you want the regular x pipe or the MAGNAFLOW?
J great stuff, as always. Labor cost in NJ is crazy, got 2 install quotes over $700 which kills the cost save so Im looking into buying named cat back set. But love your stuff bro, keep it coming.
I understand that! Might be worth making a little drive out of state.
Go to Delaware or NY. Shoot you can come to MD and get it installed for 200
I'm finding the same thing! Install cost is bringing it upwards of a regular catback exhaust. Decisions!
@@1MrVQ where at in MD? I’m in Philly and need a second option just in case it’s overpriced here lol
Got a guy that’s hooking me up with the exhaust pre-built; everyone’s talking about making their Q50 loud; but that’s not always the case; performance>over sound and no go.... he showed me a clip and so far wonderful tone! Will install next week and keep y’all updated!
Did you install?
Wondering could you give us 3.0t guys a up to date list for the speed culture exhaust highly appreciated
finally , Thank you for the clips
Thank you for checking it out!
I’m about to add magnaflow resonator style mufflers to the axle back portion. I did the Borla mated to Helmholtz Axleback but ended up having a little too much drone/rasp in the mid range. I’ve sold that Axleback and will have similar to Flowmaster but in magnaflow. I want all of the flow with mild sound. I’ll post once I get it installed.
Thanks for this clip bro. I’m getting this on my 2018 Q60
Just purchased a 15 q50 3.7 Ima give this a try 👌🏽
You won’t regret it!
These videos are so educational
I appreciate that!
Don’t forget us guys G 35 HR motors done it to mine sounds great
Can you send me clips on IG or email them to me?
Do NOT use a plain X pipe. Make sure it is a resonated X pipe. I’ve had them all. Resonated X, plain X, H and straight.. RESONATED X is the ONLY way to go, performance wise 👌
Happy Friday man!
I have flow master FX on my S60R. I’m 3” turbo back and trust me. It’s a nice ass muffler/ resonator
Agreed!
Lemme hear it pelas
Going to do this setup on my G37x coupe but using the Magnaflow x pipe you mentioned (11386) and instead of Flowmaster resonators going with Vibrant bottle resonator (1792). I want a more aggressive and louder note without having to switch out my stock cats and ridiculous drone. Hopefully it comes out ok.
That should be a good combo with stock cats!
Hi SCS!
I am considering on doing this exhaust setup on my 2019 Infiniti Q50 sport rwd(3.0), it’s completely stock performance wise and I had a couple questions.
I want to keep cats and do upgrades to increase power in the future, by doing this complete setup (Flanges, flex pipe, borla mid muffler, resonator and exhaust tips) will I get a good sounding exhaust or would you recommend just doing an x pipe instead of the borla of magna flow? And if so which out of the 2 (Borla and magma flow) would hold better with performance upgrades and sound better?
Thanks
Yes, I would recommend using an x pipe rather than the mid muffler. And I would go with 3” rather than 2.5”, so just be sure the x and resonators you choose are 3” in diameter
Ok great thank you!
I found the x pipe from total flow 3” would you recommend this one? And regarding the flanges and flex pipe would you be able to attach links to the ones needed for the 3” setup, greatly would be appreciated!
I finally got the system installed on my 2017 3.0t. I did the variation with the stamped x pipe back to the flow fx resonators. I love it, and I'm glad I took your advice and didn't do the borla with it because it would have quieted the exhaust way too much for me. Honestly though, I'm surprised how quiet it is with just the resonators. Do you think it will get a tad louder as I drive it more? Thanks!!
It will get a bit louder as the resonators break in, yes.
Do you have IG brother let me hear how it sound?
Same trying to hear the results
can you send me sound clips of it ?
Hey Brian I also have a 2017 3.0t AWD. I am about to do this setup soon.I Have the parts on order. Did you do it in reverse order or as the original design with the x-pipe in the middle and the flow fx at the rear in 2.5?
GOAT🐐
I appreciate you!
Wat created those burbles? A tune or just the Intakes, down pipes and catback exhaust
Putting the pieces together to have this setup installed on my 2017 Red Sport. I went to a couple of shops here in Atlanta to get install price quote.
1st quote: $750
2nd quote: $450-$500 “3hrs of work”
Apparently I haven’t found a shop that is willing to take on this job.
Prices are getting crazy these days so $450 isn’t terrible right now. Should be less than 2 hours though easily
@@SpeedCultureStudios Yesterday that $450 magically went up to $960! WTF?!?
What’s the name of the shop you used? I may just make a road trip to SC.

This is a great affordable setup, like your videos, very helpful. I have a 2017 Q50 3.0t premium AWD and I am looking to get a catback exhaust. So all I would need is the 2 Flex pipes, 2 Resonators, Borla muffler or go with the Upower Xpipe? , Flange and Gasket kit and Exhaust tips and I'm good to go? I am new at this and learning.
Hey was wondering an update on this I got 19 Q50 luxe AWD so just would love an update!
@@CM-xv7jd So I went with the flex pipes, x-pipe, flowfx resonator and upower tips. 2.5 inch piping all around. Sound pretty good. I used the magnaflow muffler instead of the xpipe at first. I didn't like it, lost low end torque and too much vibration for my liking.
when you get to talking about all the different pipes i tend to get lost sometimes , basing off your other videos for your custom exhaust , if i do the borla , flanges , resonators etc that you have listed in your other videos with flex pipe will it still sound good and have that aggressive tone to it without a whinny tone. in your other video you have stated you’re more into deep older tones , and that’s how i would like 3.0T to sound , any other suggestions
That is the setup the guys have in the examples i provided in the video. If you like that tone, do this setup. It's hard to make the 3.0t lower and more deep, and the turbos muffle the sound quite a bit, especially if you have factory cats. If you are keeping the cats, install the x pipe and just do the resonators out back if you want it a bit more aggressive.
Thanks for the great content. What tips are you running? I'm looking to go with a 3" setup
I have the tips that are found in my “favorite amazon things” link in the description. They are UPower Dual wall 4” tips. But they are only 2.5” inlet.
Aw man, I wish I woulda rewatched this video sooner. Getting my system installed tomorrow, lol. Just came across your part of not going with the borla mid muffler if you're keeping your stock cats. Anyone know if that is just going to make the system TOO quiet if I have both? I guess I'll be finding out
It will sound almost stock if keeping the cats.
@SpeedCultureStudios just in time! What a life saver lol, thanks!
I'm probably go with the first option you said, foregoing the mid muffler and just keeping the resonators. But I gotta get an x-pipe where the mid muffler would've gone right? Just any ol generic one they have at the shop I'm doing it?
@SpeedCultureStudios and actually. With thr stock cats, comparing just the resonators, vs just the borla. Is volume and tone going to be about the same? Or what would you think the difference would be?
Just got the Borla muffler today($250) the rest should be here in a week or so. Flex pipes, FlowFX Resonators, and Tips($200) total of $450. Question can I just get everything welded or do I need the flanges & gaskets?
Got a few labor quotes today ranging from $450-$950, Jesus!!! 😮 hitting up other shops is smaller nearby towns
It’s a 2 hour job at most so don’t let them push you around. But material prices are going up quickly so anywhere between 300-500 isn’t bad these days
Amazing stuff! For the 2020 3.0t, could you share the sizes needed for the pieces? I don't know which ones I need to be ordering with Bora. Thanks!
Check the description. I have items listed and quantities. If you're not planning to tune the car, use top items. If you're going to tune, looke at the 3" options/alternatives. If you want to push the power and like it a little louder, use an x pipe instead of any mid-muffler and just do the flowfx resonatros.
I just got 3inch full down pipes that reduce to 2.5inch at the outlet flange, should I go with wider 3inch exhaust pipe or just follow your advice with the 2.5inch wide pipe. I am planning on tuning it one day ! Your videos help a lot 💯 (2019 3.0T RWD Q50)
If planning on tuning, I would go 3” all the way
Why don't the make the SCS exhaust official?! Go to a welding shop and get the exhaust made...get prepaid order to make sure things go smoothly 🤷🏽🤷🏽🤷🏽
Not that easy. It would be very expensive to make them individually not to mention jigs would need to be made and then the cost of shipping a complete system would be crazy.
I’d love to partner with a manufacture that could do this very easily and cheaply. Hard to find

@@SpeedCultureStudios I'm trying to start a exhaust shop in the near future Would hit you up if I do establish a muffler shop so we can do the scs exhaust system on a bigger scale👍
Hey SPCS I’m really interested in getting your custom exhaust setup put on my 2018 AWD Q50 I was planning on goin with the 3” setup as I want to get the vehicle tuned in the future. Are all the parts linked in the description everything I need for the full 3” setup?
Yes. Just make sure to read my additional comments. If you're planning on tuning, consider just an x pipe rather than a mid muffler--this will help ensure maximum flow. Flanges are getting hard to find right now so try google or your local exhaust shop who may stock them.
Any thoughts on Fast Intention exhaust systems?
Your exhaust system sounds great..should I keep my catalytic converter..or test pipes..Don"t want to sound like a mustang. Have a 2019 Q50 infiniti lux
Keep your cats to stay street legal, but if you plan on tuning, you may consider other options.
Love the exhaust sound. I have a 2016 q50 red sport awd and was wondering if I did the Borla muffler and fx resonators with the stock cats would that be ok ?
It would be ok and people have done that, but if you like a more aggressive tone, you can do a regular x pipe instead of the borla and then use the FX resonators out back. Turbos act as mufflers essentially so the borla isn’t all that necessary if keeping cats
@@SpeedCultureStudios will it be a deep growl like the 3.7 ? If not , what can I do to achieve that with the 2016 awd 50 red sport
Nice video, quick question for ya.. so you would buy everything the same for awd version but could potentially add or not add the 3” xpipe?
If you want 3” diameter for increased flow, you’d just get all same components but make sure they are 3” - linked some in description
Thanks man!
@@SpeedCultureStudios Flanges, gaskets, and exaust tip inlet also have to be 3''? Also noticed you have only 1 flex pipe for this setup in the description, is that correct? and if so where would it be placed? Sorry, kinda new to this. Thanks in advance.
@@VsualizeReality Its 1 set of flex. You will typically find them as a pair. Flex pipe goes in the same place it is located from the factory. Just take a look under your car and you'll see it up near the cats/test pipes.
well it is a lot cheaper than an ARK GRIP catback so i’m listening
I’ve had a bunch more people install it this week so keep up with my IG for more clips!
I'm sitting here trying to watch your video but CZcams constantly interrupts with commercials.
That’s annoying. I never apply non-skippable ads because I hate them myself, so I hope you can skip them at least!
I just got my exhaust done today. I got the borla xs pro muffler installed in the the middle and then straight out back with upower tips. It still doesn't sound that loud. My question is would it get louder if I remove the borla muffler and just make it all straight pipe from the cats back, or is there anything else I can do to make it louder. Thanks
You have to let it break in. It’s a fresh resonator. It’ll take a few weeks. Straight pipe sounds like ass
@@SpeedCultureStudios Thank you for your quick response. Keep up the great work you, really appreciate it 👍
I have this setup and I’m looking to quote it down a little. Would you recommend adding another set of resonators?
Yes that will work
Hey SCS, I'm fairly new to this, i have a stock Q50, if i do this setup, could i leave off the borla? And by leaving off the borla will it be louder? Thanks!
With the 3.0t yes you can leave the borla out and just use an x pipe. It’ll sound nice and allow for some nice performance
I have a Q50 RS with stock cats, in your opinion what sounds better? The borla mid muffler or the fx resonators? Would it be make it quitter if both are installed?
I for the 3.0t you may just want to do an x pipe instead of the borla and then the flowfx. If you plan to tune, that’d be my suggestion
I have a 2015 qx50 stock , I currently have a muff delete only and sounds great . Anything else I could do for it or anything to give my car a little more kick when I need ? I normally will drive it in the manual mode around when im cursing
Nothing really to add power unless you tune it
Sounds good , would Inman muffler be able to do this? Also would I need a tune ? What setup of these would recommend? I have awd also
They definitely can and no tune necessary for the catback
So to all the people with 3.0t awd how exactly did you set this up. I Currently don't have aftermarket downpipes installed.
If keeping factory cats, I’d suggest a regular x pipe and just use the resonators - 3” pipe all the way back
QUESTION..Have a 2019 Q50 3.0t lux..already have megan racing cold air intakes.Your cool set up exhaust...SS tailpipe. Flo.resonators. Borla muffler phalanges..??? Keep cat converters .same same exhaust sound like yours or test pipes..what to do with the warning light if you get rid of cats..which give youmore power and sound
If you remove the cats, the car needs to be tuned. That will allow it to run properly, make the power its capable of, and eliminate the engine light.
Hello SCS! I have learned from your youtube and helpful. I have question the set up. My car is 2015 Q50 sport.

The borla should help, yes
how would two flowemaster super 10 series fit with this and leave one valuve open 🤔 aggressive sound?
I'm sure it would be pretty aggressive, but depends on whether or not you have stock cats as well.
sorry for the dumb comment, i had this done a few months ago but i had to buy two sets of flanges one set welded onto the cats after cutting off the stock cat flanges and then the other set welded onto the exhaust piping correct? it sounded like you said the 2.5" flanges could bolt right up to the stock cats.
They do fit the stock cats. They should not have been cut off.
@@SpeedCultureStudios ah man the guy had me buy an extra set for no reason then. But the stock cats flange is 2.25” no? With the new flange being 2.5” that would still work?
@@fated2k the opening might be 2.25, but the flange bolts are the same distance so it would bolt right up no issue

Hey man do you have any videos of your 3.0t with just the borla muffler?

@@playyvh1334 I would just do lower downpipes honestly.
it would be a difference if place those flowmaster fx at very end? and you have any raspy between 2300 -2500 rpm?
What do you mean at the very end? They are pretty much at the end, so you wouldn’t notice any difference. With res test pipes there may be a touch of drone at about 1900-2100 rpm
@@SpeedCultureStudios ok thanks 👍
What exact setup will be good for hp after installing my fulldownpipe catless and tuning
Get tuned after the catback is installed, obviously, but if you’re going for max hp, go all 3” pipe. X pipe instead of the borla out to 3” flowFX resonators near the tail pipes
Great Vid..Question for you..i have a 2016 q50 awd twin turbo with downpipes..i want to install the scs catback, my question for you is which way would you install it? Straight back like you said in the vid or reverse..i want a nice aggressive sound without rasp
It seems to work best in reverse order for awd cars. Shops are scared to install it as designed, but it’s fine. If you’re looking for an aggressive sound, maybe just go with a plain x pipe and flowfx resonators. The borla may tone it down too much for your liking.
@@SpeedCultureStudios thanks i plan on it! Keep the vids coming !
I can’t find a good resonated x pipe. Any website suggestions?
I just suggest the magnaflow-it is essentially a resonated x pipe. But if you’re in a 3.0t, I don’t know that a resonated x is necessary.
So should I go with a normal x pipe or should I just true dual echaust to the 2 resonator’s ?
@@xYrnAntx personally, I would do a normal x pipe-but a good one, not a stamped echo chamber-and flowfx resonators. Turbo cars tend to be quieter so the big mid muffler isn’t as important
@@SpeedCultureStudios ok got you👍and one more question , what’s the difference between 3” piping and 2.5”in piping on this setup?
@@xYrnAntx What do you mean what's the difference? The 3.0t benefits more from the larger diameter if you plan to continue modifying and tune the car.
same catback but with magnaflow 2.5 will it sound louder and more aggressive?
Just a little more rasp so some think it’s a bit more aggressive
So if you’re going for the 3 inch magnaflow would I have to get 3 inch flanges and gaskets as well or could I just use the 2.5 from the links you provided
And double checking this works on a AWD..?

@@SpeedCultureStudios thank you!!
I see that on the description it says if I keep the cats, to only do the borla or the fx resonators. Is there a reason why? Do you think I can still still do the borla and resonators?

@@SpeedCultureStudios oh I see, so I can de the muffler delete and just add these fx resonators? Thanks so much for replying!
@@davidheredia1000 Just do a muffler delete and be done.
Wat created those burbles? Might have been a tune or just difference in rpm. Check Matt out on IG. He can probably give some specifics
Question for you sir, The 3.7 VQ seems to come pretty well optimized from the factory. Does the custom catback system that you propose affect the optimization in a meaningful way positive or negative?
It pairs nicely with test pipes and a tune. It performs just as well as any system on the market. But the factory catback is really not too bad either.

The 3.0t will not be loud. Do you have catless downpipes?
How loud would it be with out the x pipe borla and having stock everything? Would that be very loud?
I would like it to be mild tone
Like a muffler delete
@@SpeedCultureStudios would it sound raspy or have drone like that?
What's your thoughts on the high flow cats and fi resonated cat back with vr30? Looking for more deep notes little louder but no drone
High flow cats are a good option. It’ll keep the tone down a bit
@@SpeedCultureStudios how are you passing emissions with no cats?
@@KnowScott catless is for off-road use only. And not every state has emissions testing.
So if I’m keeping stock cats do I get an X pipe that’s gonna connect from the cat to the flow fx and the flow fx’s to the magnaflow muffler ? That’s what I’m trying to understand. I got an AWD btw
The magnaflow is the x pipe unless you’re keeping stock cats then I would use an x pipe instead of the magnaflow. You won’t need a big muffler
I like your exhaust set up, but with turbo engines back pressure is bad, but scavenging is good. What are your thoughts on this. Would you say an exhaust that goes 2.5" from the down pipes to the resonated X pipe and then expand to 3" about 2 feet from the X and expand to 3.5" for the remaining distance to the rear would help with scavenging while reducing back pressure utilizing a varying size exhaust system. I'd love your thoughts on this.
From what some testing has shown, there is little if any scavenging at the point of the y/x pipe, so what my suggestion generally is for the 3.0t, particularly if you will be modifying and tuning, is go from the 2.5” downpipes to 3” pipe. and because the turbos have such a muffling effect, I would use a typical x pipe rather than the resonated x. My opinion is that a 3” dual catback is sufficient, but I don’t think 3.5” after the x would hurt anything. In an NA 3.7 tested by motordyne, some of the best results were achieved with a system that gradually increases in diameter-but more of in a cone-shaped fashion rather than stepping up at certain points. Does that make sense? Id love to see some testing done with what you’ve suggested!
@@SpeedCultureStudios since I don't have my car yet, having to wait until after I close on my house, what is the size of the stock catted down pipe? I've read it's quite small around 2". I was even thinking of going with 2.25" from there to a stamped 2.25" x pipe then go to 2.5" straight resonators off the x, they would be about 24-28" long and then go 3" off of them all the way back. That would be a good progressional size increase and it should reduce cost some since the stamped X and straight resonators are cheaper.

3.0t rwd
You don't need 3.5" flanges. If you're doing all 3" exhaust then 3" is good. Do you have lower downpipes? Are they 2.5" or 3"
@@SpeedCultureStudios no im staying with the stock cats
@@SpeedCultureStudios i can only seem to find 2.5 flanges 3” have been difficult to find
Which option is the best for the 3.0t? Looking for a growl sound lol
for 3.0t I generally recommend an x pipe (no borla) and flow fx resonators out back.
@@SpeedCultureStudios I have a helmholtz axle back I'm thinking about something for that growl sound
Hi I have a question what about a mangna flow muffler dual inlet dual out can I use that the borlas are on back order for at least week or more
I believe the magnaflow option is linked in the description
I have a 3.7 awd and you say for the awd to consider getting a xpipe but where would it go because it’s not in your illustration of doing the system in reverse
It’s not in the illustration of reverse because you don’t need an x pipe in the reverse order. The borla is the x pipe. However, many people have installed it on the awd Q50 like normal without issue.
@@SpeedCultureStudios ok so it’s basically a alternative if we didn’t want to install the borla. Do you believe it sounds better with the xpipe or Borla Xpipe
so for a full downpipes awd setup, what do i need?
I would use the components mentioned for the 3” setup. If you’re going for max performance, just get a 3” x pipe rather than the mid muffler and use the 3” resonators out near the tips.
@@SpeedCultureStudios Thank you so much boss!
which setup you think is best for 2018 AWD q50 redsport?
3” with x pipe and flowfx resonators
@@SpeedCultureStudios how about test pipes and which do you recommend?
2 questions. What is the difference between borla pro xs and borla turbo xl?
If I went with the magnaflow what sound difference can I expect with and without resonators. Drone issues?
Turbo xl is bigger
Magnaflow has some rasp even with the resonators. Probably some drone too
@@SpeedCultureStudios so if I get the turbo xl a good option? What sound notes can I expect?
Would the SCS work on my Q70L? And if you do remove the cats do you pass smog??
Yes I’m sure it would work and I’d love to hear it! And no, if you remove cats it does not pass smog. If you keep the factory cats then it’s a good idea to do the borla only
@@SpeedCultureStudios So. Factor cats, straight pipe to the borla and that's it?? Or the other way around?? I have just loved the sound of yours and I want that rumble!! Not that raspy Honda shit.... lol
@@rockinredrock7023 yeah just do the same exact system, just don’t install the flowfx resonators
Hey thank you for the video! Definitely had to hit the like and subscribe buttons. I have a 2019 Q50 Luxe AWD 3.0T stock and I am going to keep the stock cats. I know you gave the options of eliminating the Borla or the flowfx resonators. If I am looking for a deep tone with minimum drone, that is not obnoxiously loud. What setup do you recommend? With or w/o the flex pipe? Also, it might just be me, but the link for the flanges no longer works. Would I just look for a 2 bolt 2.5" opening flange?
With stock cats, you’d be fine with an x pipe and flowfx resonators. The borla might tone it down too far for you. Flex eliminates vibration so I recommend it. Yes 2 bolt 2.5” flanges. They are selling out quick also anywhere you can find them!
@@SpeedCultureStudios I appreciate the quick response and I'm looking forward to more of your videos!
Will it flow worse if I set it up like the 370z guys? Will it sound different? Thanks
Shouldn’t flow any worse. Tone should not vary too much, but could have a slightly different pitch with the borla being at the back.
@@SpeedCultureStudios do you have any videos/clips of how that setup would sound? Or maybe someone's instagram whos running it? Much appreciated
@@ls3_saif difference wouldn’t really be noticeable
@@ls3_saif I can’t recall off the top of my head
so i am getting a 3.0t but bought everything for the 3.7 because that’s what i had before. will i have to change anything or can i run the same setup and just tell muffler shop to use 3” for all additional tubing? thanks!
It really wouldn’t make sense to use 3” because you’d be shrinking it down to go through the resonators so it sort of defeats the purpose. It’s not really necessary to use 3” either.
so essentially i can get away with using the 2.5 set up?
@@FlackoLo yes
alright man thanks a lot we appreciate everything your doing for this platform 💯 keep up the good work!
I have a 2016 3.0 Redsport AWD. Would it make any difference in sound whether I put the flow flex resonators under the car after the x pipe vs all the way at the end in place of the muffler?
It does actually make a slight bit of difference. With the resonators at the rear, they help pick up the rasp before leaving the tail pipes. With them under the car, the system can generate some raspy frequencies as it travels through the rest of the pipe before exiting.
Thanks so much!! Should I also be looking to purchase the tips separately as well?
@@theyreseeingtheworld3461 yes you’ll want some new tips as well. They should be linked
can u dumb it down for me and just tell me what to buy and how many
I got a Hybrid sport; I would be interested to hear how it sounds on a 3.5
I have a hybrid premium. Would it fit mine?
Will there be a giveaway for a 2020 q50 ? :/
If I have an opportunity to get a hold of some 2020 q stuff I will definitely have a giveaway!
cant find 3" flanges anywhere
2.5” are nowhere to be found either.
@@SpeedCultureStudios what you think about using 2.5" flanges on my 3' setup
Are the linked x pipes already resonated???
The x pipe is not resonated.
If i wanted to go the x pipe route… where could i get a resonated x pipe. I have a 2018 3.0t w fast intentions ldp, ams intakes. Forgoing the mid muffler
From what i heard, a plain x pipe doesn’t provide true performance only sound. While resonated x pipe will produce both sound and performance
@@mrbossftw2739 no-there is no reason a resonated x pipe would perform better than non-resonated.
@@mrbossftw2739 the mid-muffler is a resonated x pipe. Either magnaflow or borla. You won’t find an X pipe with small resonators. It’s just going to be a muffler that has a perforated core in the shape of an X essentially.
How much can this exhaust system make on a tune for the 3.0t?
I mentioned this in the description as well as in my pinned comment. It has not been on the dyno with the 3.0t yet.
I am tuned through AMS and run consistent low 12 sec 1/4 mile times at 118 mph trap speed on 91 octane. Roughly about 415hp. No dyno near me tho. 😔
@@mattg3829 Thank you for this!!
@@mattg3829 non RedSport??
I got a 3.0 T Awd. What can I do to make it super loud.
Downpipes and eliminate the mufflers.
But louder is not always better with the 3.0t.
@@SpeedCultureStudios Thanks. What kind of down pipes, And also would it be an issue with check engine light and inspection.
@@wasimiqbal8060 any of them are ok really. Need a tune to eliminate check engine light
@@SpeedCultureStudios ok thanks for the quick response.
@@SpeedCultureStudios What kind of tune would I need after I install the lower down pipes and where can I get the tune done. Thanks
is this the same borla muffler for the 3.7 q50
Yes, but if you plan to tune, I would use the 3” magnaflow on the 3.0t
