i always like how sometimes they're in a heavy duty bunker with a special remote control thing, and sometimes they're standing behind plastic sheets touching wires to a cordless drill battery
Jamie wearing a swimming cap feels redundant.
I really do miss the Mythbusters. So nice to see them on CZcams.
Sadly, not ALL episodes from every season are available...😭
@gabrielswee585 honestly better than nothing. Full episodes of shows uploaded by the copyright owners is so rare.
I put these on while i drift off to sleep
I put these on while I drift around my neighborhood 🚗
Same
These watch me sleep, work... enjoy....
Same here. " Brainiack " too
Same..
Dat musket accuracy though
Gotta love Mythbusters on a Sunday 👍
I remember i cried when saw magyver use a gun as kid, then it was someone dressed as him 🤣 then everything was okei 🤣
Holy cow that last musket shot.
the "expert" shoot sharpnel, what a foony
Swimming in 2x syrup still busted for me.
One can’t swim further and longer like 2k or 10k swim in syrup compared to water.
Their pool was just too short.
Can you back that up with anything??
@@maxbracegirdle9990Looks like the thought experiment disregards the amount of power the swimmer needs to generate. The higher force needed to push through the syrup cancels out with the higher force you can create with the same swimming motion, resulting in the same speed, that's the thought experiment - but you need more power for that "same swimming motion". So, if you reach your maximum power output by syruping up the water, you will slow down. See: especially Jamie in the thick stuff, he was getting swamped - he was less fit than Adam and reached that limit.
"Well uh I'm not very fast. I get the job done that's about it..." -Jamie
YOU DID IT STEREO COMMENTATOR!!!!!!!!! LET'S GOOOOO
The bullet is the projectile, the case, propellant , cap and bullet make a round. The macgyver method won't work there is not enough compression of the powder to do more than burn, not explode
How many ears did Davy Crocket have? Three! His left ear, his right ear and his wild front ear!🤣
You need to leave.
@@Jackoe69 I am hanging my head in shame and seriously thinking hard about my actions!!!!!
32:14 Sneaky Monty Python reference detected
You mever bust MacGyver. He just did it better than you.
9:29 right after that, an add appeared about sensitive teeth 🤣
I wasn't expecting a Python reference, and I'm okay.
This makes me think of the song by The Darkest of the Hillside Thickets "Great Molasses Disaster"
Always nice to see a Thickets reference out in the wild, it's painful how underrated they are.
Lmao the mic in tne top right corner at 25:16
Full metal jacket rounds, no, but lead heads like hallow point rounds, yes
😥😓😩😫thank you!
Yo Tori’s hat.. poor fox or smth lol
18:02 hahaha
24:31 chad cameraman with shorts and no protection
Swimming through syrup.... I'm leveling the same argument here, however many decades after the fact, as I did when Brainiac redid these experiements; You guys have _GOT_ to take out the _human_ element of this experiment.
Yes, there is more resistence, Yes; there is more theoretical thrust.... So get a 50.000:1 reduction gearbox on the Surfing RoboGrant and throw _that_ through the canals you've dug! That way you have a consistent and unmutable output of force at a steady and predictable rate, and you can measure the gain versus the loss via the surfplank's natural displacement!
At least they dug a trench... all brainiac did was have their food flopping around in an oversized kiddy pool...
Guar gum in water is a non Newtonian fluid while syrup is a Newtonian fluid. Kinda different...
I do have to say, tory could not look any more like a tory. No other name would come even close to fitting him
this is so true. something like cory, cody, or a initial name like tj would be ok, but tory is perfect. he just has that himbo yet prodigy aura about him.
Couldn't test the axe splitting with modern firearms eh? Ballistic highspeed begs to differ.
How about the opposite of swimming in syrup: swimming in something 'thinner' than water? Is there a non-toxic liquid thinner than water you could swim in?
24:38 I know that didn't land
Swimming in syrup is funny. Lol remind me on the Simpsons Episode with the dolphin. Not the Halloween spechial, i mean the episode with bart and his girlfriend.
stereo :D
Hell yeah!!
You still need to get the powder to turn the bolt… lol and you used an un sported frame no wall studs to hold it from spreading
Busted McGyver? Is there anything in that show that actually works?
@41:03 the antique gun enthusiast James Mitchell missed the blade completely, if watched in slow-mo, but I guess, that the team did not want to offend the old man, they planted the two balloons next to the blade, to conceal the real incident in advance and pretend for the public, that he hit the blade.
Idk. Slowing it down, it's super hard to see. That little bit over the yellow balloon could just be debris from the barrel cause it doesn't even put a hole in the paper, not like the other ones anyway
Yeah on the slomo you can see the projectile splashback from the back board caused the balloons to rupture not the bullet splitting.
That said, he missed the blade by a hair, it was still an incredible shot.
strange they are only using modern bullets not bullets from the time when macguyver was filmed
Those are the same. Bullets are one of the most unchanged technology. Both the 9mm and the .45 cal are unchanged for over a century.
You can take a 9mm from a luger pistol of WW1 and put it in a modern Glock. Bullets went through a massive revolution at the end of the 19th century and have remained identical pretty much ever since. Most bullets commonly used today are from the early 20th century.
I know practically nothing about firearms, but: MacGyver wasn't filmed hundreds of years ago
@@a_921 it was filmed in 85
@@a_921The black powder version that the mythbusters used was only available for a very short amount of time. Metal cartridges with black powder were very short lived.
You can really tell the two don’t want anything to do with each other here, damn.
I don't think Adam has ever said they didn't want anything to do with each other they just weren't best friends. Also, Jamie has always been kinda cold since day one.
I always get the feeling that Jamie was never 100% on board with the show. To me, it seemed like he was going through the motions.
If my memory of the show’s history serves, Jamie was actually originally slated to host the show alone but asked that they bring on Adam because he didn’t think he was interesting enough by himself.
I’d say he loved the show and loved doing it but hated the sensationalized trappings of reality TV that he had to put up with. I think it speaks more to his love for the show that he was willing to put up with things he didn’t like for the show’s entire runtime.
He's just a tough cookie that feeling was resolved for me every time there was an explosion. You can just see it in his face
40 yards is far but literally nothing, I hit a coin on 50 yards with my PCP rifles.
Congrats.
sasquatch is real
saxsquatch is real
megatron is real
sadE
They did not swim in syrup. Guar gum is not syrup.
Fun to see how they joked about organic veggies (this episode) and vegans (other episode) back then. And that's in SF. Imagine the shitstorm doing that today. Good old times.
MacGyver was horrible. Don't know why people liked it. It was laughable and beyond ridiculous.
I'll tell you why I liked it because I was nine and it was inspiring at my tender age.
