i’ve seen a lot of people saying that Scully was a terrible mother for this. scully did what was best for her baby, as any mother should. it wasn’t easy for her to decide but it was to keep him safe

Only just been catching up with every episode after buying the dvds this year and finally caught up with season 9, the moment this one came up, I knew I was in for a real tearjerker.
Thank goodness this season's nearly over now on my watchlist.
When they show little William looking up at his newly made Mobiles.....the tears start flowing, especially with that song, which has always been one of my favorites, but I swear I have never heard it sung like that. Awesome.

Just saw this; such a sad episode. I cried.
A bitter sweet scene. I love the way it's all tied together; I had no idea why the beginning scene with this coulple was shown, and then right here, it all makes sense.
This is why I love the X-Files, it takes you everywhere on the emotional spectrum, from belly laughing, to horror, to anger, to awe, to mystery, and to moments like this, and much more.
And that's why it has become my all time favourite show.
This just simply isnt in my headcannon. Its the ravings of a man who never had children himself. Even Duchovny who came back for this one objected.
