Winchester super X 1oz rifled foster shotgun slugs smooth bore (velocity and energy in discription)

Today, I test Winchester Super X 1oz rifled foster hollowpoint slugs in a single shot smooth bore shotgun. Our average velocity was 1,648 FPS and 2,638 FPE at the muzzle. with a 50 yard G1 calculated BC of 0.1 we achieve 1,499fps @ 25yds and 2,184 FPE. At 50yards we get 1,366fps and 1,814 FPE. Plenty to take on northern medium to large game.

Cool slow mo of that slug, have rem mod 1100 with improved cylinder choke shoots those types of slugs pretty accurately. Thanks for vid!

The model 1100 is a beautiful shotgun. Classic wood finish and dual beads. Shotgun slugs are a lot more accurate than what most people believe/give credit for. It's just learning how to shoot them accurate. Minute of gopher with just a front bead sight at 50yds isn't too bad.
