Emma Cruises Braves the Most THRILLING Activities at Sea

- Norwegian Cruise Line recently welcomed @EmmaCruises aboard Norwegian Prima to share her journey in a 5-part video series. Check out part one of the series and join the conversation, below!

On my last cruise, I conquered the fear of heights by plunging down a 10-storey slide. I challenged the fear of speed racing around a three-story go-kart track in the middle of the ocean and some of the things that I did were both very high and very fast. I’m not sure what fear I was conquering here but I’m glad I gave it a go.
As soon as I embarked Norwegian Prima I noticed these slides on the side, it’s hard to miss them as they twist around each other and go down 10 decks off the side of the ship. That's almost 95 ft or 29 metres on top of however high up deck 8 is against sea level, that is SERIOUSLY high up. Standing at the bottom made it feel even higher too but I knew I had to give it a go during this cruise.

I waited until our ship reached Bermuda before I decided to brave the slides. I was relieved to see that this slide was the type where you slide down in a little bag, I don’t go on slides very often but I remember going on them as a kid and the ones in the bag were always more comfortable.
Pulling myself into the slide and into this wall of darkness was scary but the bit at the top was probably the fastest. It’s impossible to really work out where you are in the slide so I just laid back and watched the top of the slide go by, it was quite peaceful really and didn’t take too long. The idea is that you would race somebody else down the side but I went alone so I’m going to say that I won that race!
This slide had given me some confidence but I knew this was absolutely the easiest slide on the ship which was why I decided to start here. Also on my slide to-do list was the drop slide where the floor falls out below you and a huge waterslide called the wave where you slide up and around this part that's kind of like a halfpipe.
Right beside the entrance to the rush slide that I’d just completed was the entrance to the go-kart track. I honestly wasn’t too nervous about this at this point, I thought to myself, how scary can it be to go on go-karts on a cruise ship? They must be like bumper cars going round and round in circles. Spoiler alert. They were not.

Emma reviews things to do Prima for Norwegian. Emma content is a delight to view on her Emma Cruises Channel, and surprise, surprise, it is on Norwegian Cruises as well. An amusement park grafted on a ship isn't usually what I think of when I think of cruising, however this video shows why it a great complement to the regular cruising experience. Emma remarked that she stepped out of her comfort zone and that makes for memorable experiences. I think it's same for most people, so it's great addition to the cruising experience. Norwegian ensured that the Prima lived up to Norwegians standards and it's name by giving a Prima cruising experience.

I’ve only ever done Disney cruises BUT for the first time ever I’m really tempted to try NCL. Emma’s cruises are straight to the point! You get none of that waffling on like you do with other CZcamsrs. She gives a great insight on what to expect on a cruise line and gets through so much information I never want to fast forward 😃

i went on this cruise it was AMAZING i am a 13 year old female and me and my bsf made many good memories and friends. the energy and workers were great and if you're a teen ages 13-17, there is a program called the entourage and the 2 counselors are so sweet and the place is so fun and just everything about it is amazing

We're thinking of going on a cruise in a few months. We'd been back and forth on all the cruise line options and settled on Royal Caribbean Navigator of the Seas. I saw your video and was relieved at first, as I thought it was in the Mediterranean so I wouldn't have to reconsider our current decision but, nooooo ... now I found out the Prima will be sailing from Galveston, TX right about the time we're looking to sail. Now I have a whole ton of new videos to watch to learn more about the Prima to weigh our decision (as it hasn't been finalized). The Prima looks uber fun but I've seen a lot of complaints too. One comment theme was the buffet wasn't organized and people were having a hard time getting to and from. Also, a lot of folks mentioned the venues being too small for the amount of people on the ship, and thus it being hard to get into shows. Still so much more research to do lol.

The slide looked like so much fun! As a solo cruiser I’d have to make sure to leave everything in my room or make sure I wear a fanny pack to keep my phone / glasses and cruise card since I wouldn’t ever have anyone to hold my stuff since sadly my friends and family won’t try cruising! But this ship seems like it has a lot of activities that facilitate fun and meeting other people and seems great for solos! My one concern as a solo is anytime dining and I wonder if I’d have issues being seated with other solo(s) but I’m guessing I could ask and maybe they’d grant it if possible / if there were any other solos arriving at the same time? Would be worth a shot. I don’t enjoy dining alone and meeting other solos / having people to eat with us the highlight of the cruise for me (I eat all my meals alone as it is in my real life and one of my main draws to cruising is to be around other people and get socialization that I don’t get on land!) I’ve heard the solo situation overall is supposed to be pretty good on NCL though. I have a cruise on the Sun booked in October so I guess I’ll find out!
