What is Dolby Atmos(5.2 or 7.2), Answer is one of the speaker will be attached to roof or ceiling, example if rain comes in movie u will hear rain drop sounds from the ceiling speaker. If u doesn't have Dolby Atmos speaker, then the sounds will come from back speakers i.e 5.1speakers. Finally I want to say is that if ceiling speaker is there along with Dolby Atmos receiver then u have Dolby Atmos home theater. In latest few receivers u don't need ceiling receiver, receiver itself transmits sound waves to ceiling and bounces back to the center of the hall...we need to adjust the settings in these receivers.
