Hey grimmfam! The big tree at the beginning is a Moreton Bay Fig tree. That tree is estimated to be over 140 years old.
Wow so its not old! How is it grow that big in such a short time? I live in north Germany, in a forest nearby we have an oak tree, its 1250 years old. Its called Frederickeneiche.
The Moreton Bay Fig is native to Australia.
hey guys!! First thank you!!! so fun!
2nd - i haven't used it but i know there's an app for ID'ing plants. You snap a photo of the leaves and maybe pod and the app searches a database identifying what you've got.
Michael - I just love the way you call Jessica - Baby Ghoul!!! So sweet and cute! You guys are great - thank you so much!
Hi kids it’s Craig here in Orlando. I LOVE!! That tree!! @B Jones ,..said it was a type of Fig “ way kewl! I really R.E.S.P.E.C.T !! Both of you,…The history, research , the filming 🎥 is spot on ! Jessica ,..A.K.A. “Baby Ghoul” has frackin incredible taste! That outfit is adorable!!
I have been to the BH witch house several times, and it is my favorite BH house. I love your channel and keep up the good work!!
I like seeing Baby Ghoul. It makes my day and to see her happy to.
It's really nice to see Jessica wearing dresses. You don't see ladies wearing them anymore. Its really good to see.
Can I just say Jessica looks STUNNING in that dress?? It looks very Penny Dreadful with the high collar and flowing sleeves. It looks like she belonged at all the houses and I love that. Thanks for another great video guys! Love from MI.
She does.
I'm old, so I remember from when I was a kid, that Jessica looks identical to one of those early 1970's "Witch Dolls". The hair color and outfit are exact.
I have watched Clueless an embarrassing amount of times and I never noticed that house! It's so cool! You two make the LA area way more interesting and cool than I ever thought it was. I never really wanted to visit (Smog, traffic, seems superficial) but your videos have changed my mind on that. There is so much cool history and neat hidden gems.
You'll notice it the next time.😃
Mary......Traffic (???) What busy city doesn't have traffic. About the smog though, we haven't had an issue since about the late 70's early 80's. Car's are required to have smog checks and businesses get fined if their not careful. Anyway, just wanted to let you know we've ( So. Cal ) has done amazing things to change the smog situation.👍
@@wynnssecret8882 c'mon. Dont try and sugarcoat the traffic. It's a pain in the azz. Everyday, weekends too. Driving from Santa Monica to Whittier on a Saturday, takes me over an hour. That's ridiculous. And it's just getting worse. It's a shame, that native Californians are being pushed out. Theres still hope for Northern California.
@@rocknroller77 ........I agree with what you said (absolutely) l hate that fact that so many people still believe So Calif is famous for "smog". What you said.....yeah, we're starting to look like a "third world country" these days. 🤯😠🤬
@@wynnssecret8882 I understand large cities have traffic, but I have heard LA traffic is on another level. I have only been to LA once (as a child and only for a layover so LAX is really all I saw) but from what I have heard from others who have gone I was never really interested. I did not do much to educate myself otherwise though so that is on me. I did not mean to insult So. Cal, only to compliment the videos that have changed my mind about going there. Thanks for the info on the smog situation there - that's really cool to hear!
Did you guys ever tell the story of how you met? If not, I think we’d all like to watch that video.
In my hometown Shreveport Louisiana, there was a small theater built in the style of that first witch house. Frank Sutton ( Sgt. Carter in Gomer Pyle) died there in 1974 while rehearsing a play. Massive heart attack.
We all need to give ourselves permission to dream. My dream was a home set in the 1950's, with a working kitchen, laundry and associated appliances. I started doing it 20 years ago, when everything was cheap. Everyone asks me how I did it... my answer: One brick at a time. I guess for the next generation is a home from the 1970's and 80's. Don't ever be put off because what ever you set yourself to do, it's always achievable. Thank you "Beverly Grimbillies"..💖💖
When construction workers were renovating, I walked throughout the inside of the Witches House. It’s absolutely darling-like being inside a storybook.
Spooky Spooky 🕸☠️🎃
Thanks Grimmlifecollective for your time!
Those are so cool! It really is like stepping into a storybook especially the second one for me.
Where I grew up, there was an eclectic three-story "Witch House" that overlooked the River. It was built in 1915. A pair of spinster old ladies lived there and they were not friendly and disliked children. That house also had stucco walls, fences, trellises, gates with craftsman style ironworks, lanterns, bars on windows, brick and stone walkways, a cobblestone driveway, and big cast iron pots used as flower containers as well as cast iron Owls and Crows here and there on the grounds. The landscaping included lots of climbing ivy, thorny Rose bushes, wild plum trees, crabapple trees, and huge pine trees in the back of the house. There were Koi ponds full of frogs and toads that lived on the grounds. These two ladies had a 1949 Plymouth Business Coupe that was dark blue. They died in 1979, and the house was put up for sale "as is" because it needed tremendous amounts of repairs. The sale included their Craftsman-era furniture, dishes, rugs, etc. They had no living relatives. Eventually, a builder bought it as a fixer-upper and completely restored the house, and upgraded the house to code. His family moved into it because no one would pay what he wanted for it - which was $650,000. "ouch"
Whatever the story was about these two women - I never learned. The house was featured in the News Paper with some photos of it after reconditioning. It was called a Fairy-Tale Cottage on the Grand. We always knew it as The Witch House of North Park!
You make life better!
The Witch Houses & the Hobbit houses are truly remarkable and love watching your adventures!
Why do I love the old buildings, not keen on new. Brilliant video x
"Can you make turtles fat?" 😂 That cracked me up.
Awesome place. Being a witch I would love the first house!!
Adorable turtles!! L💙ve Waterlilies!!🌊🧜♀️💙
I missed the last up all night, and waking up to a new video today was such a nice surprise!
2:20 I got curious so I did some research myself, it's actually a Fig Tree! It was reportedly planted between 1910-1914 by the Rodeo Land and Water Company, and also produces Figs every year!
Yep, B Jones is correct it’s a Moreton Bay Fig. I had one in the back yard of a place I rented here in Sydney, Australia. In summer bats would come to the tree at night to eat the figs. I LOVED it - my kitchen window was right across from the tree and I used to sit up some nights to spy on the little guys - I LOVED it. My neighbours didn’t like the noise, I didn’t mind
Another great Video. I like when Jessica walks through the videos without saying anything acting cute , But when she speaks , you can hear all the intelligence that she has come out...keep up the great videos...me and my family are true Halloween Fans also...you can probably tell by our name
AHHHH!!! Turtles! I love the turtle ponds!
You two are the best.. love how genuine, kind and fun you both are and how much you adore each other. I think it’s about time I told you that I’m an old lady (71) in Seattle who loves your channel. You guys are such a cute couple. ❤️
You guys are too cute together. I love that tree! It has a character all its' own. I appreciate you posting the historical photos so we can see how things have changed. I LOVE the witch house! It is adorable.
my family use to drive/walk around this house when I was a kid, I was mesmerized and still think it's the coolest house.
You two seriously need to come to the UK. We have amazingly old creepy houses that are genuinely old and crooked.
I will be in Northern Ireland and England next month I can’t wait👍🏾
I'm In L💙ve with the Enchanting tree!!💙💙
It was used in a film in 1965 called "The Loved One".
"Grimbillies". I love it.
Lilly pond is beautiful 👻 Happy Halloween👽
The Witch House is such a dream! 🖤🧹
In Knoxville, Tn a developer actually created a real hobbit village. I don't know if you can buy a house or just rent them. The guy spent a fortune to create it.
Beverly Hills That’s where a wannnnaaa beeee. Thanks for the Video Grim Life🖤
I'm now a Bigger fan of Jessica after the love she showed that tree!!! So great!!
I have hugged many a tree in my life and am proud of it!! Why NOT show love to trees??!!!! 💖
Thanks You Both A Brilliant Video Stay Safe
I once saw an interview with Johnny Depp when Tim Burton was making Sleepy Hollow and he said that the Sleepy Hollow village set felt like a place he could live at. I understood that. I love places like this.
I’d have to have electricity for ac and appliances.
Please look up more witch houses. Love to see more places!!! Thanks for sharing these!

So cool to see a Witch House in Beverly Hills and thrilled that I can hear Jessica's comments now! Maybe it was my "old people" ears, but in the other videos I had trouble hearing her---not so with this one!!! Yay!! Looking forward to seeing where you guys go next!
I would watch Beverly grim billies anyday. Love the content keep it up
Omg, if I may say so, Baby Ghoul looks incredible in the thumbnail!
The wall with the wood door was used in the movie twins when Arnold and Danny go see they're mom
i visit that house every time i'm in LA
Great video. Thanks for sharing. There are actually quite a lot of turtles at the lake down the road from where I live (I live in Australia). One time, I saw a bunch of them sitting on a log when one slipped off, which then caused a domino effect of the rest falling off lol.
You can tell you’ve done your research. Another great video guys. Thank you and God bless!
Hey was thinking of you both today .whitby the home of Dracula is having a big celebration at the moment. We go for the best fish and chips in Yorkshire too😊
Hey Guys, that was an amazing video, Thankyou so very much showing us the Witch's house, I was mesmerised by the art style and the architecture. I absolutely love it, thank you so very much guys and have a great day today. 😊 😊
"This one has turtles and frogs"
The better to create potions and elixirs with.
For quite some time now, I've wanted to move to the deserts of New Mexico, to design and build my own creepy cool self sustaining Earthship... now after seeing those hobit houses, my yearning is even stronger!! ONE DAY IT WILL HAPPEN
I love all y’all’s videos but this one had me cheesing just over the love of turtles, fish and frogs. Amazing job as usual! 🥰
Wow. Here's a coincidence, I just made a wax melt for my home yesterday called The Witch's Hut. So awesome. Now if these were in the middle of the woods, with black cats roaming around, smoke coming out of the chimneys, and misty morning dew and fog on everything they would be perfect dream homes. Inspiration for a home I want to build someday. Please, maybe a part 2 for the ones in The Hills?
@@gabybiz6089 Not yet. I have more experimentation to do then I will create a website. I'm thinking for now just tea mixtures, wax melts and candles and go from there.
I get paid to smoke weed & to get highh on my CZcams channeI 🥶
Love that aesthetic!
Jessica looks so happy by that big old tree 💚 I half expected her to disappear into it 😂
Yay!! I’m headed there this coming week.
Very cool. I'm glad Jessica has a mic, now I don't have to struggle to hear her lol.
the grimms finally come back from the grave with another grimmly good video
Looks like a Moreton Bay fig tree, they are stunning trees!
Spadena House was best gives the Hansel and Gretel feel to come alive and take you. I fell in love with the pond 🐸 🐢 Happy Halloween 🎃
I've always wanted to visit the Witch 🧹 House. It's one of my favorite houses ever! Such an enchantingly beautiful cottage. If I could have a house built it would certainly resemble that. 🪄 Great video as usual loves!
The first house- at the very end when you were walking along the ivy wall… was giving me the craft vibes
Hey Jessica you look great in that outfit. Thanks for sharing. Love horror and sci fi stuff. FRANSTEIN 1931 AND STAR WARS AND STAR TREK. Look at all those turtles.
Wonderful video and so well presented, thank you! I absolutely LOVE the witch house! 😍
Wow, some beautiful spots. Loved the "shire" homes, such contrast from the modern buildings they're surrounded by. Thanks for taking us on this adventure.

The bushes that Jessica is walking past (red blooms) is call a bottle brush bush. They are shaped like a baby bottle brush.. I love them
that tree is epic! It looks like the tree grew & engulfed people hanging from it over time.
I love your videos. I loved Mike's shirt with the pumpkins and Jessica's bag that says I love spooky.
To see the witch house at night.bet that would be a sight not to mention the vibes it would give off
