When I create my new Conversion in Google Ads, it doesn’t show the option for Google Tag Manager Setup. It’s only showing the HTML code or the option to send it to my web developer. This means I can’t setup the Tag in Google Tag Manager. Is something wrong? Or in just 2 months since you recorded this tutorial, Did Google get rid of it?
Hey Jason I am Having trouble with my conversion tags not firing. I have deleted them, started over, created new accounts and linked GA with Google analytics still not firing. I don't really know what it could be.???

This tutorial was PERFECT also if the conversion isn't firing for the lead form double check to make sure you have the tracking code pasted in your header & body make sure that code is ALSO pasted in the welcome page header & body

Hey man, awesome video, saved me hours of time trying to figure it out on my own. I had one issue: at 33:46 when you choose Tag Setup, mine only shows the first two options. I couldn't see Use Google Tag Manager for some reason (I've gone through all the steps to this point). Any ideas? TIA!
Yeah, they've recently changes up the interface...again! So what you'll need to do is select the option that gives you the Conversion ID and label.
Also, of you have the remarketing tag on your site you can skip this and create URL based conversion tracking without having to instal another tag

You need to look up how to set up GA4 events. That's something you'll do after this video

The same process applies. You'll just choose GA4 when setting up analytics instead of UA. Since UA is going way in a few months GA4 is the way to go

Hi Jason, thank you so much for this step by step guide. However, I encountered some issues with connecting my facebook pixel to tag manager. the window that is prompted through creating an event via FB Events Manager is not showing or emerging. Did you encounter this issue as well as I tried other search engine besides Google Chrome and still the same issue. My pop clokcers are all deactivated but still the same issue! thanks in advance for your feedback. Keep up the great work! cheers
Not sure why it wouldn't be showing for you... There have been times it appears, but it's not the top window; so alt+tab so see your other open windows could help you find it... After that I don't know why it wouldn't be appearing for you

It's okay to leave it as 'contains' to get it to fire correctly. Thank you for your continued support!
We already have tag manager setup for our main domain. We just got a different domain to use with a landing page, (same biz) should we use the OLD tag manager acct or start a new one? I created a new acct in Analytics. (hope that was right , lol)
Since your using a different domain, you should use a different container. There is a way to tell Analytics that two domains should be used as one so you don't double count views.
You can also create a third analytics property and put it on both domains
Hey man. At 9:30 you say 'we should see tag manager enabled on our site'. But when i do it, all it says is 'no tags found'. Could you please explain this?
That means you need to check where you placed the code. If it's not showing it means the code isn't on your site 😔

Hi Jason- I was following each step but when I try to create a "Tag" in the Tag manager I get this error "Invalid input. You may have stale data; refresh the page and try again." Time Stamp: 13:26 and 15:59 is where I'm getting the error when I try to save. Any suggestions?
That's strange I haven't run into that issue before. It sounds like there is an issue with the UA code. Please double check the text your copying over.

That will be inside of your Google ads account when creating your conversion event/tag
