  • oday marks the commencement of the highly anticipated National Conference on Transition, as mandated by Article 2 of the Constitutional Charter, which brings the transition period to an end on June 30, 2024. This pivotal gathering, scheduled for May 25 and 26, 2024, is convened to consolidate the achievements of the transitional period, strengthen the social pact, and chart the course for Burkina Faso's sovereignty.
On April 26, 2024, the Transitional Legislative Assembly passed a crucial law authorizing the convening of this national meeting. The government, in compliance with this legislative directive, established an organizing committee chaired by an appointed official. The committee's primary mission has been to prepare and implement all activities necessary for the successful execution of the conference. This includes developing the conference’s terms of reference, inviting participants, managing logistics, and overseeing various organizational tasks. The committee will also compile a comprehensive report on the conference's proceedings and outcomes.

@@Howardstwein912 Come on, you didn't disprove anything. I understand this is your opinion and you're entitled to it. Our current African presidents are basically Kings. They rule with an iron fist with their wives and their kids, and we can see for ourselves without looking back in some rosy past, the injustice that's perpetrated. Regular people live or die at the whim of the King/President. Let's stop blaming the white man or the Arab and build an egalitarian system where we all have rights, where we follow the rule of law. How about that?
