When I took my wife out to dance to this song, I gently grabbed her waist and gave her a lovely kiss, what a good time and what a good song. Rest in peace, my love, this song is in your name that gives us many memories :)
Great memories
Beautifully expressed! 😃 🫂
Im Sry for ur lost and great memories
Sorry for your loss, I pictured this when I read it memories will live forever ❤️
How old was she?
There are certain 80’s songs that give me an overwhelmingly painful and bittersweet sense of nostalgia. This is definitely one of them.
Same here I feel it as well
This song & "Moondance ; " these 2 songs are the one's , that vividly bring back the nostalgia & the pain of my youth. 1/15/2021
Could not agree more with that statement
Amen

Yep
Yup lol

I'm here in June, davepane7306. The absolute GOAT.
Here I am
The 80's school of American Pop Music is arguably the best of all time. The 80's are a magical world
The synthesizer was born and it was a wrap
Disagree 60s and 70s rock and folk are better
@w1ll923 mmm very debatable, i would have the 80's and 2010's music above 70's and 60's
Totalmente ❤
Only because we were in it... I can absolutely understand why others would say it's lewd, commercial, a parody of talented musical craft. WE love it because it's what we grew up on.
My girlfriend heard the sexophone solo and now she's pregnant. Thanks Hall & Oates.
Yes!
Wtf
good one!
I guess she was horny.
where again
This song has aged like fine wine. The 80s were undoubtedly the best decade for pop music
And it's bands like this that started it. A good decade for catchy tunes.

Apparently you weren't around in the 70's
Don't compare to the '60s man!
@@leonardpark9997 the 70s was definitely great as well. And no... I wasn't around during the 70s!!
That bass riff at the beginning + those drum beats + sax is SICKENINGLY ADDICTIVE! who agreed?
I have never heard a better bass...
Reminds me of Stevie’s Part Time Lover
That sax is SULTRY
Agree with you. 🏴
80’s were the peak of humanity
That was the period when they allowed us to live in some normality and carefree.. And then the bs started 🤷
Peak of music not humanity
I agree

I don't get why people are saying thing like "this song is still good in 2020". You guys don't get it, this song GETS BETTER AS TIME PASSES.
Man Eater and the 2nd single from the album "One on One" are both Hall of Fame songs... I'd be honored if some fans of 80s classics would take a listen to my acoustic piano & vocal performances of PURPLE RAIN by Prince and PRAYING FOR TIME by George Michael on my YT channel in tribute to 2 of the greatest vocalist-songwriters in the history of popular music. Live acoustic with no autotune or digital editing. Thanks & RESPECT to the legends.

@Gavin Knight So much great music. When bands had to pay their dues in clubs, parties, anywhere they could get a gig... and trying to get noticed. It made them better musicians I think.
It's the filter
Polarization is quantum
The saxophone, the reverb, the key changes between major and minor keys. 80s music was the best.

The most truthful song ever written.
Sad Hall 'n Oats is over. At least we'll always have songs like this.
i swear the saxophone is the most underrated music instrument ever
Hardly
for me it's the pipe organ
Shit not in the 80s literally every popular song of the era has one sax solo guaranteed
Definitely not, people from the 80s and 90s clearly enjoyed it, and as an 00s baby that plays sax I get multiple people saying saxophone is the sexiest instrument out there!
Is that really true? I love the saxofone myself because you can express your feelings and emotions so directly on this instrument. As a Dutchman I'm proud with our own Candy Dulfer, a very hot lady who really can go mad on a sax. She's a great star, not only in the Netherlands, but also abroad and played with some of the greatest like even Prince! So there's light at the horizon. Many, many songs have intro's with saxophones, solo's etc. What about the sound of Sade's band? There the sax determines that typical jazzy sound. Without sax no Smooth Operator! So cheer up and don't dispair!

The advice you'd give to Jellal when Erza's on heat be like:
I refuse to believe that Daryl Hall and John Oates we’re real. They’re literally human embodiments of the 80’s
Funny this is that they had their first big hits in the mid-70s, followed by a few misses on Along the Red Ledge and X-Static, which only scored a couple of minor hits. However, starting in 1980, they struck gold and had five number one hits in just 4 years, a phenomenal run.
A total masterpiece. Still sounds edgy and fresh 40 years later

She's a maneater
[Instrumental Bridge]
[Chorus]
Ooh
(Oh-oh, here she comes)
Here she comes, watch out, boy, she'll chew you up
(Whoa-oh, here she comes, watch out)
She's a maneater
(Oh-oh, here she comes, she's a maneater)
Ooh, she'll chew you up
(Oh-oh, here she comes)
Here she comes, she's a maneater
(Oh-oh, here she comes, watch out)
She'll only come out at night, ooh
(Oh-oh, here she comes)
Here she comes, she's a maneater
(Oh-oh, here she comes, she's a maneater)
The woman is wild, woo
(Oh-oh, here she comes)
Here she comes, watch out, boy, watch out, boy
(Oh-oh, here she comes)
Oh, watch out, watch out, watch out, watch out
(Oh-oh, here she comes, watch out)
Yeah, yeah, she's a maneater
(Oh-oh, here she comes, she's a maneater)
She's watching and waiting, ooh
(Oh-oh, here she comes)
Oh, she's a maneater
Bars!
they smoked a lot of weed. It wasn't that good back then but once in a while some Cali bud would make it through and it would be so potent.

How can 22 thousand people dislike one of the most nostalgic songs from the 80’s
Some men... just want to watch the world burn... :P
They don’t know music
i guess the maneaters didn’t like being exposed like that
Bruh that’s tuff, this is one of my favorite songs.
They must be down bad but don't want to admit it
Em 2024 ouvindo esse clássico.
Rio de Janeiro -Brasil 🇧🇷
I think this song is wicked ❤❤
Daryl Hall is actually Kazuhira Miller
A song to surpass Metal Gear.
Megalo Maniac yes
Kaz......
that's odd, he sucks at singing in Paz's diary lmao
So... that's the weapon to surpass Metal Gear? A song to bring the world to it's knees!?
80’s music is in a class of its own❤
❤️
70's classic rock was the best!!
Yep and it didn't hurt to have a sax in or band... Go Daryl on the reply, I used to hear your music in the car when mum would give me a lift into town when I was teenager.
@@darylhall. I saw many Hall&Oates shows. Once in Atlanta, advance ticket sales didn't go well. They sold buy one get one free the day of the show. The first part of the show was about 1 1/2 hours. They came back on stage and announced they were going to play more. They did another hour for what they called thier "real" fans. I wonder if you remember that?
It was the best show I ever saw them do.
Thanks guys...you are iconic!
@@darylhall. My favorite album was Abandoned Luncheonette which I believe was produced by Todd Rungren. It was thier second album they released. I still have the vinyl copy from 1973. Las Vegas Turnaround was my favorite because my wife was a flight attendant nd flew Las Vegas Turnarounds from Atlanta.
"She's's gone", also on that album, and she's gone now but I play it often remembering her. Thanks for the memories!!
May God be with you all
Still here after 35 years!! Music will never be the same!!
letra:
She'll only come out at night
The lean and hungry type
Nothing is new
I've seen they here before
Watching and waiting
She's sitting with you but her eyes are on the door
So many have paid to see
What do you think you're getting for free?
This woman is wild
A she-cat tamed by the purr of a Jaguar
Money's the matter
If you're in it for love
You ain't going to get too far
Oh, here she comes
Watch out boy she'll chew you up
Oh, here she comes
She's a man eater
Oh, here she comes
Watch out boy she'll chew you up
Oh, here she comes
She's a man eater
I wouldn't if I were you
I know what she can do
She's deadly man
And she could really rip your world apart
Mind-over-matter
The beauty is there
But a beast is in her heart
Oh, here she comes
Watch out boy she'll chew you up
Oh, here she comes
She's a man eater
(bis)
Oh, here she comes -here she comes-
Watch out boy she'll chew you up
Oh, here she comes -watch out-
She's a man eater
Oh, here she comes -she's a man eater-
Oh, she'll chew you up
Oh, here she comes, here she comes
She's a man eater
Oh, here she comes -watch out-
She'll only come out at night
Oh, here she comes, here she comes
She's a man eater
Watch up boy, watch up...

I'm 23 Japanese. They are the legend for me. When I knew them and their songs, I felt like I found the treasure.
@@Yukimurasanada29 He is 23. What do you want him to do? He doesn't remember because he was not even alive. Should he pay for what his ancestors made? Should I pay too? since I am Portuguese...
