I don't care about sound at all, just pure performance, as long as they fixed the rapid trigger to be as good as the wooting that's enough.
What performance? It's only 1000 Hz polling rate
Can’t seriously thing anything over 1000hz matters at all
@@frostgodx it's still a step backwards on a product that demands more money
@@jstarproductions7335 I can agree with that. I don’t get why they do half the shit they do it seems extremely counter productive
I had the blackwidow v2 for 3 years, and the wrist rest did lose the top layer where my left hand was. But ive had the huntsman eltie v2 for two years now and still looks new, only thing is that its a bit loose and not as squishy
Yeah, I suppose that is something you won’t get with the v3 but man I love the comfort of the soft rest
Red linear switches changed/upgraded from V2 Huntsman or the same?
Super nice video! :)
I watched your sound test of the Razer Huntsman V3 Pro and it sounds laoud? I had the Razer Huntsman V2 TKL with the V2 red switches and I loved it! Most for the almost scilent typing you can do on that! I might just buy the v2 again if you say this is louder!
i have it its very loud
@@exddertv Oh ok! thank you for your reply! I really love the Red v. 2! for the reason it is not loud! interesting Razer chose to change that! :-/
@@chrisbenn the v3 is completely different keyboard with completely different switches.
@@ZimmerZirwes Yeah, I found out! It's just a bit odd that they called it “v3” when it is completely different!
Hey there, how would you compare the backlight/shine-through brightness of this keyboard with the Huntsman V2 TKL? I just bought the Huntsman V2 TKL but the backlighting is not as bright as I'd like (I've got it set to 100%). If this one has noticably/significantly brighter backlighting/legend shine-through, I think I sell my current one and upgrade to this. Thanks for the video.
Hey how bright are the rgb?
Are you planning on reviewing the Razer Blackwidow V4 Pro? It seems to be the best keyboard Razer has ever put out.
You are the second person to mention it so I guess I better get it 😀 not like I really need an excuse 😂
Another great review Dude! And it just proves that the Huntsman series IS super niche. To me - it's a modders bit of kit - because it sounds like junk - like all of the Huntsman KBs that came before it. I think with the right internal treatments, it could elevate to something a lot more special. Those tweak-able switches are really something along with the aesthetics; but the foundational bits scream cost cutting considerations. It's priced too high for what you get.
You should check out the new Black Widow V4 75% with the orange switches. I was blown away!
Thanks mate and I have been hovering over the buy for ages on the BW V4 but I have spent over 10k this month on laptops and peripherals, so already well over my budget 🤣 maybe next month if there are no big releases I will get it in
Bro who gives a crap how it sounds switches don’t matter
Theres a aw920k keyboard and the aw920h headset from alienware, just wondering would you be reviewing them? big fan of ur channel, especially with the alienware products! (me being a huge fan of alienwares)
I have the aw920k sitting in its box still, just haven’t got around to it! Once I have caught up a little (need to get a few more laptops reviewed that are stacking up) I planned to do some more alienware content as it’s been a while. My plan is to put an alienware setup together and cover the keyboard, headset and oled monitor in that video 👍
@@MashITTechthat’s great! Looking forward to it! Personally I have the x17r2 3080ti with my aw3821dw screen, 920k, 920h and 720m. I loved them other than the headset broke within two months but got replaced fortunately. I just want to know ur thoughts on them😂😂😂. Keep up the great work!!!
When Synapse is open are your Windows Keyboard Properties settings working? I have the 60% version and the repeat delay and repeat rate are not working which is frustrating. I was wondering if it was the same on bigger models.
it works wirth synapse for those rapid reactionkeyboards i prefer the wooting cause you dont have to keep open those programs that sucks a lot.
Are you going to use that wrist rest or replacing it for something else right away?
I would prefer TKL too, but once I saw how that wrist rest looks like, I decided to order full size just so I can use it with Razer Wrist Rest Pro that unfortunately comes only in a full size version.
I am going to give it a try and see if I Can get used to it. If not I am just going to use the rest from my v2 TKL
I own this keyboard and the wrist rest is perfect for me so it’s all about preference as I prefer firm wrist rests
Ur channel is the go-to when it comes to razer product
Haha thanks mate, I am a razer addict! Worse still, I have just discovered mercury since buying the mercury blade 18 😂
Yes, I have loads more content coming, the review, a comparison to the Alienware m18 and more. I also love them all and I am keeping the blade 18 and blade 14 myself so I am very lucky. There is a massive difference between 4070 and 4080! the 4070 is a meh card. I got the 4060 blade 14 which is my daily beater (scripts, work on the go, light gaming, media consumption) so with this in mind I wasn't bothered about getting the fastest GPU. The blade 16 and 18 with 4080/4090 have so much more GPU power plus better speakers, 2 SSD slots and obviously larger screens which is better for gaming. If I had to choose only 1 laptop I think it would be the 18 just because with that laptop I can literally setup and not feel the need for an external display and yet its still compact for an 18" laptop
you can, I don't own any 8tb drives atm though
for someone who does typing with a little bit of gaming on the side, which keyboard would you recommend?
Atm by far my favourite keyboard is the halo 75, it’s the best off the shelf mechanical I have used. I got mine with a linear switch which feels incredible for typing and great for gaming. I just wish nuphy would make a tkl version as tkl is my preferred layout for typing
Nice video, but whats the polling rate?
This is the best looking razer keyboard i've seen.
This is a fantastic pro-level FPS keyboard especially with rapid trigger. I think casual gamers can consider the Blackwidow 75% it sounds super good. Pls review that too!
I have last years black widow mini but have been meaning to pick up this years! Hope to get it soon 👍
@@MashITTech It seems pretty good on paper, foams and all the good stuff.
A friend of mine's got it a bit ago and he really likes it. I kinda want to try it too. HAHA
Does it have 2-in-1 keys that, depending on the press, perform one function or another, such as wooting or apex?
Yeah you can set that up in the Razer software but it wont save it to the keyboards memory.
I use Huntsman V1. Is this worth the upgrade or should I buy Steelseries Apex pro 2023?
Either wait for steelseries 2024 or get this
You should test out the black widow v4 pro 75% it has sound dampening foam, pcb tape and hot swap. It’s only on the 75% version though not the rest
It doesn't have 0.1mm though
@@c0rb4it has normal switches… what are you saying
@@frostgodx you are absolutely right i don’t know what i was thinking 😂 I was looking at black window v4 75% and huntsman v3 tkl at the same time was probably tired and mixed it up 🤣
@@c0rb4 easy to do on those late night video sessions 😂
@@frostgodx yeah 100% couldn’t agree more 🤓
hello! i’m korean gamer. i have a question that huntsman v3 rapid trigger is enough to play vlrt or cs2? How is it compared to wooting, apex pro tkl?
(I can’t understand video 100% sorry 😂)
you can probably understand more of my video in English than I could if it was in Korean 😂 (I only know a tiny amount from my TKD days!) I would say it is better than the apex but I can't compare to the footing as I haven't got my hands on it yet as I do not like the form factor (I hate mini keyboards, TKL is my preferred board size). It is definitely more than enough to be playing CS or valorant at a competitive level.
@@MashITTechNice. thanks to your a kind comment. Probably i will buy this! Have a nice day!! 😊
Guess gonna wait for new azoth to upgrade
Thanks for the review! How would you compare it to the Huntsman V2 ? (Not the V2 analog the regular Huntsman v2) . Is it worth upgrading ?
Its downgrading from 8000hz polling to 1000hz
@@SunGodLuffy_5for real? I didnt checked the specs
@Gaetan.N yeah look it up. That's the downside of super good actuation on the v3
@@SunGodLuffy_5 and how does that affect gaming exactly?
@rajyavardhansingh4491 the polling rate is slower bit the actuation is quicker. It's not really that much worse.
Does the V3 also have the same "issue" as the Huntsman V2 series with coil whine like sound when rgb lighting is turned to a higher brightness?
Oh I really haven’t noticed that on my v2 or v3, let me double check when I get into the office tomorrow
@@MashITTech thanks that would be amazing had that issue on two huntsman v2 (regular) which why i returned them
@@NicoX261 OK, spent the last few minutes testing and I can hear nothing! I may not have the best hearing but coil whine on laptops drives me crazy so I think I would detect it if there was any. All I can hear is the slight hum of my PC fans. I cycled the brightness from 0% to 100% and back multiple times and nothing at all :)
@@MashITTech Okey nice to hear thank you for checking
Hi i just plugged in this keyboard and every game i open it thinks its a gamepad controller. Do you have any fixes?
Let me go and check mine out and see if I can find out what is up with yours
This is neat. I want one.
Just don’t look at the price 😂
@@MashITTech
I want it but wouldn't buy it haha.
I prefer a centred keyboard with no num pad on a laptop but there are still lots of users who want a mum pad for number work or even some games take advantage of it
I am about to get this one cause I have been really wanting to get the optical switches, but you have really worried me with he phrase that you wouldn't use this on your work station. I now game very occasionally and I mostly work and type on my PC. I don't see how typing would be bad on keyboard from big brand like Razer at this price point. Note that I have been using Razer Blackwidow Chroma V2 for the past at least 4-5 years
if you are used to Razer keyboards then you will be impressed with this board. I have been spoilt with a few high end typing mechanical keyboards and when comparing to those this is very different. Better in gaming performance, loads of customisation but the sound profile is light years behind. This doesn't sound like it would be an issue at all for your use case
@@MashITTech Well the keyboard is on the way and I am really excited about it. From sound comparasion I am really just comparing it to the Orange switches I am used to now and I have no problem with. From the video it doesn't sound that different between the two razer keyboards.
Quick update I just got the keyboard for anyone wondering go for it it's amazing in comparison to my blackwidow chroma v2, it sounds way better than the orange switches I had on the blackwidow the typing is buttery smooth and the and options this keyboard gives you will satisfy you
@@Sam_Norththanks for the updates bro
I don't know. I like the sound better on the V2. It's very quiet.
Hey!! So I have a question, I have a dog and his fur and hair is all over the place even by cleaning everyday... My fear is that his tiny hairs will make this keyboard unusable since it work by interrupting light in each key... I need a new keyboard because I'm using the BlackWidow 2016 Ultimate forever... aand I feel like buying a updated one ahah
The joys of a mechanical is just how rugged they are. Even if the keyboard gets caked in fur it will still work and its very easy to take all the keycaps off and clean every year or so if you want to
Interesting how you didn't mention the fact it's only 1000 Hz polling rate on a line up (huntsman) that's meant to be the fastest?
because 4000hz polling rate on a keyboard would be pointless! I personally think its a gimmick even for a mouse
@@MashITTechthe wooting 60he is considered the best keyboard right now is also 1000 polling rate
Pretty bummed to hear how light and cheap it feels.. That's not a good sign. I have the original Huntsman Elite and it's heavy af, and solid. Shame. I'm sure this plays a big part in the way the keys sound.
Don't you miss a LED light legends with the non gaming keyboard? You can't have LED light legends on top since most mechanical non gaming keyboard south south facing LED which i find really stupid...
I did when I first started using non gaming high end mech keyboard but the typing/sound/feel experience was so good that I decided to ignore the lack of legend backlight and now don't even miss it.
keyboard prices are crazy now
Yeah it’s mental. I feel robbed paying 220 for a wired keyboard
The hunstman is a great keyboard, but I need numbers in my life
It comes in a full-size variant with a numpad!
Just bought an Asus Scope 2 96 rx snow. Woweee No regrets. Awesome switches/board
the foam is very cheap,i switched mine out and lubed the stabilizer it was night and day difference
A GK71 sonic clone?
oh I have not heard of that one. will go and take a look
I dont think they added foam with this board. The website didnt mention any kind of foam. Which is why this board sounds awful
Ah thought I saw it in the press release but could be wrong. Might have to open it up and add some
the only problem i have is thaT MMY W KEY KEEPS STUTTEEERING
In no expert but I would guess most dudes are buying these for the lighting and the volume controls. They dont care about button actuators. lol
Should I get the mini or tkl
if you travel a lot get the mini other wise get the TKL
Competitive gamer perspective
This Pr Steelseries 2023tkl
Too bad their terrible bloatware ruins any chance Razer would ever have of getting me to buy their products. I would love to, because their hardware looks and feels fantastic.
"wired mechanical keyboard" it's not mechanical though. "adjustable actuation FORCE" no, it's an adjustable actuation distance. big difference, and would be hella cool if the force was adjustable.
it will never get a good sound bcs the keycaps are very thin due to the big switch under it
I don't know what other people think, but I really like the sound of the Huntsman v4 pro.
That’s interesting! Is it the clacky noise you like? Having used a few high end mechanicals I have become accustomed to their sound I guess
First! For the algorithm! 💪🏻
Haha thanks mate 😀👍
I will stick with v2 I guess way better sound and wrist rest
I almost returned my V3 Pro TKL within 1 minute of opening the box. The sound and typing experience is a MASSIVE step down compared to my V2, which has rubber stops on the switches. The V3 removed the rubber, and because of this it now has cheap plastic clicky sounds, rattles and a cheap hollow sound with each key press. It doesn't sound premium at all. But the V2 out of the box sounds and feels great, especially for a gaming keyboard, so it was quite shocking to see and hear such a blatantly obvious downgrade on the V3. So i spent 2 days lubricating the keys/stabs and cutting out thicker sound dampening foam (it comes with thin 1mm foam but it's almost useless). Now my V3 sounds/feels great, but having to do this is totally unacceptable for such an expensive keyboard and it's extremely tedious, time consuming and further adds to the cost, especially if you you do all this properly (quality foam + Krytox lubes + paint brush).
