‱ lots of drama with my ...
    MY FIRST FEATURE-LENGTH CZcams VIDEO!!
...and it almost did me in.
But this was something I've always wanted to challenge myself with, and after 30+ hours of editing... I created one of maybe more in a series of lambing events as their own video!
This is a bit of a flashback for my OG's here, but I felt like I was watching with brand new eyes as I forget so much as each group lambs.
I hope you all like it!!
If not... please be gentle in the comments. LOL.

HEY ALL!!! First off, THANK YOU for watching even just little bits of todays freakishly long video
. I’ve been wanting to try compiling an entire lambing into one show for so long and now see why I try to Vlog daily instead
 there’s so MUCH!
    Anyhoo
. I realize many storylines are a bit choppy as I tried to keep the video under 10 hours, so I encourage any first time viewers to check out the daily versions of this long one to help with any questions or context that may be missing on this long one!
    Also
let me know if this is something you guys would like me to try again!!!! ❀✌

I have an idea for a video. Just like you put a whole lambing into one video, you could put a lamb’s whole life on your farm from pregnant mama to pregnant with her own lamb. Following a ram lamb would probably be too sad for everyone but it would still be interesting

    Geez Louise, Sandi
you are unreal. Such an amazing farmer. I’m practically having a panic attack just watching all these births, hoping they are going to breath, that Mom won’t reject them or stomp on them. You know your ewes so well, and the way you make sure they have pain relief on board if they’ve had a rough time is just awesome. The lambs with the Zoomies is the cutest thing ever. You are one hard working, smart lady.

Over an hour and a half of lambing, who doesn’t love that!? Lol! I can absolutely see why you’d like to daily vlog. Either way, I have absolutely loved your channel for 2.5-almost 3 years
it has given me a distraction during this ridiculous time of being sick. I found your channel a few months after getting sick with my first rare illness and your videos give me many of smiles and laughs and distractions no matter how long the video was/is. Now having another illness on top and possibly a third one, I always replay your videos. I love them! I know there’s ups and downs with sheep and lambs, the sad ones suck but the miracles are priceless! Thank you for all that you do and letting us come for the ride!! You’re amazing!

03/03/24: UPDATE! I watched your video thru the whole birthing process and it really helped me. Kyra is the biggest blessing of my life. (Her pic is my profile)
Before Kyra, I was a mom to two teenage boys and in my 40's settled in my life with my husband of ten years. My husband and I were done having kiddos. I was on a copper IUD that had worked fine for decades before and last implanted 2 years ago. I wasn't due for a new implant for 8 years.
My husband and I made love once that whole year, cuz life... and I was pregnant! I was high-risk the whole pregnancy. I was in/out of the hospital constantly while pregnant but God had a plan. Kyra is my one and only girl. She was named after my sister, (Pronounced: Keer-rah) who passed away tragically 10 years ago at the age of 33. Thank you for all the love and support! She is a rambunctious hogget for sure! Man plans and God laughs. Thank you @SandiBrock!

      @amander403 Pƙed rokem +17

@@tadomifu I've actually been watching old videos to find that answer myself. As far as I can tell, Sandi opted to send him to market but she didn't explicitly point out when she shipped him. The problem with ram lambs is that they naturally are more aggressive in how they play with other lambs. Most ram lambs probably avoid Sandi and Carissa so it's not a big deal, but Matty was comfortable with them so would want to play with them. Carissa had told Sandi that she was having to watch herself in the pen with Matty because he'd 'be mean' (so I assume headbutting her and such). Since she wasn't going to keep any other ram lambs, if she'd kept Matty then Matty would have had to be kept in a pen by himself for a year or longer because he couldn't be with ewes but he also would have been too small to be with the rams she does have. In the video where she talked about the issues, she pointed out several other of her rams that had been sold to friends because she'd bonded with them had eventually had to be resold or were only able to be handled by the husband if there is a duo.

Oh so happy! Over an hour and a half of lambing! I know this was very time consuming and tedious but I’m sure everyone agrees that this was wonderful to watch! Sandi, have you considered installing a Lorex camera system that records footage so if you need to look back and see how long a ewe had been in labor or how many lambs a ewe had? It would help tremendously I’m sure! I have one and we have solved several mysteries and have even helped the Police identify a robber in the neighborhood. You can zoom in areas as well. It’s not terribly expensive either. Just a suggestion to make lambing a little easier ❀❀❀❀❀

knows so much. The things to know lambing for example. All kinds of different things to be recorded about each lamb, ram and ewe.
Where to give a sheep a injection. Delivering lambs with breech, “mummified” lambs how to cope with putting a glam down. THAT I AM SURE
IT HURTS. bottle feeding lamb decisions. House lambs are so cute and fun. And tons more one must know. Did you go to school or experience? Then. Experience of taking care of barn, Agriculture in all aspects. How long have you been running you farm. Plus family

I love watching all of your videos so much, you have inspired me to work towards farming sheep one day as well, completely changing my life from my original plans of becoming a scientist. Your honesty has provided such an amazing resource for me in my planning stage and I cannot wait to see more of lambing!
I was thinking, during lambing there are always some mornings where you come in to find a whole bunch of new lambs and have to spend some time sorting them out. It would be awesome to see that sorting process more, either like a timelapse or with how the ewes react to lambs that may or may not be theirs â˜ș

However, after reading on Instagram how much time it was taking you to get this together, I offer this word of caution. Don’t sacrifice your health and your family relationships on the altar of your fans’ wishes for more/longer content. We love you, Mark, Jack & Jess and want nothing but the best for you. So awesome to see all the lambing together in one video. The fostering is so cool when it’s successful. At 1:20 you say ‘the lamb who lost her mom in the other pen’. I don’t recall mention of a mom passing or did I just miss it. It’s always sad when they pass â˜č
I’ve been watching you for maybe a year and a half. First thing I had to back up and see was Billy’s story then I went all the way back to your first video and work my way forward. Recently I started watching Billy’s story again lol. I love your lambs. I can’t get enough. I watch at night when I go to bed. The lambs put me to sleep (it’s like counting sheep 🐑 lol). Hi Sandy. 👋
My first bottle fed prem lamb was born.
Hes a strong 4 wk old now.
My problem was 'HOW' to mix & measure milk powder.
They go by grams & provide a 40g scoop.
If you buy a small bag no scoop.
    No digital scales.
I googled it & it took many hours of figuring out, to mix half water, then scoop, then fill to correct measurement.
Nobody makes it easy. Especially in the night half asleep trying to rescue a premmy.

awesome job! that's a ton of work putting this all together and you did great! thanks for all the hardwork u put into to your content on top of all the other things you do with the lambs and the farm not to mention you're a wife and mother! you're killing it Sandi! I'm not sure how u do it in tired watching you do all that work and trying to imagine the amount of work you do when the camera is off! it was really cool to see it all together in one video though I've watched every video you've ever made(most of them 2 times or more) and that's not an exaggeration at all. when I scroll down the list all of them have the red bar that means it's been watched already. so I have seen the whole season already video by video but the recap and seeing it day after day in the video like that is cool. hope to see more in the future if you have the time. if not I enjoy watching them one by one just as much. great job again you're a beast sandi and you're killing it!
