I am a mental health counselor and Magic Mike’s story is by far one of the best advocacy resource in mental health I have ever seen. What makes it even more powerful is that it happened on National TV watched by millions. This was not just a story but a powerful life saver for millions struggling with their mental health. People need to know that they’re not alone and that there’s help. Many of us take it for granted but there are folks who genuinely need to hear this because their lives depend on it. Thank you Magic Mike for being the “wounded healer!”
I was struggling with mental health and I didn’t tell nobody and I got through all by myself all alone and I’m back to normal and I literally cried when I saw this clip I don’t do it very often because I’m very tough SOB

So true loved it for I suffered with it through grief and addiction and was in a bad situation felt like I had no one but I was wrong I found the help I was seeking and it changed my life and with his message hope he inspires others to do so 😊

That was my thought, if I was one of the judge the first thing I would have done would be not to applaude him but to hug him, and I'm not a huggy person!!!!

Not only was his magic brilliantly done, but the story he gave along with his card trick was compelling and overwhelming.
It takes a lot of courage to say what he said, and I'm proud that he's helping so many people from all walks of life with his truly emotional personal story.
This was an ingenious way to get a strong message out to young adult men.
Weakness is when you don't seek help, and "Brave and Courageous are those who do.

I am personally a European male, aged 28 myself and hearing you explain all this hit me in places I never thought I could feel anymore.
Thank you truly for sharing your story and sharing the message that no matter what struggles you may have in this life, you DO NOT have to bear it on all on your own shoulders. You DO NOT have to do this all by yourself because you're not alone in this world and there are people out there. Friends, family, people like yourself! People who can help you fight through all this and come out as a much better version of yourself!

If that wasn't a golden buzzer moment I don't know what it is. Apart from the mving story he told us, he's fantastically talented, his tone voice, his storytelling pace, and not to mention he was keeping shuffling the cards all the way through the act and yet they perfectly came in order. I been on his shoes.. I tried twice to end my life through suicide by hanging in my room. Depression doesn't need medication, they just need one good friend to listen to their inner heart. Never sermon or advice them, just listen and let them throw out their hidden pain then only you can feel their feelings .. I'm thankful to this day that my mom prayer and love who save my life twice during my darkness hour...

I like to say that this show was moving with heart feelings of emotional and getting the help it needed from depression and suicide. I for one and it's the truth suffer depressed and attempted suicide myself when I was very young until my adulthood. I got help along the way with support and family at the time on my lowest point in life. Magic Ben makes me recognize their hope and magic to turn people's lives around with simple guidance and support around the globe. Thank you for that and his performance was dead on. 😊
I just saw this. I lost my son to suicide 15 years ago. This brought tears to my heart and eyes but it also brought a smile to my face. The day I picked up his ashes there was a double rainbow over my house. He loved rain bows. 🌈 This needs to be used by the Suicide Prevention Society as well to schools and other forms of media. The message was so powerful it took awhile to realize how good the magic was. Stay strong and realize you are still here for a purpose and this is it. There was not a sound during and a dry eye afterwards. How moving, thought provoking, and much needed.

This is such a brilliant performance. It started off funny, and with a magic card trick in mind. Then as we focused on the cards revealed along with the story, it slowly just drew our full attention to the actual personal story which was so moving. Mad respect to Mike's creativity, talent, and courage in this performance, while also sending a message out to many. Best I've seen, no joke.

The sad part about that in the US is that they know you are suffering but they’ll lock you down in a mental facility for 72 hours. So sometimes it’s a question of do I really want to be put in that place again or should I just keep it to myself and hope that state in your life will pass quickly

I can totally relate to him, I’m 30 and I feel the same way sometimes. Mental health problems are real. While it is easy to say to reach out, it’s hard to do. I don't know how spiritual a person you are, but 28 is a tough year for a lot of people. It's a time of great emotional upheaval and potential spiritual growth, a spiritual rite of passage if you will. It's called Dark Night of the Soul and it happens every 28 years.
