How strange that Astein, who pretended to be a bit wealthy, who falsely called himself a doctor, who didn't dress to suit the climate without preferred to wear the expensive clothes and jewelry he liked (but couldn't actually afford), in a relatively small place like the Canary Islands, would happen to come across someone who basically was the real version of who Astein pretended to be.
Strange, and very unfortunate for Dr./Senor Navarro. Edited to Add: At least I thought I heard Brief Case mentioning something about Navarro having a doctor's title related to him being a pharmacist. But either way, doctor or pharmacist, both are in the field of medicine, so I think it counts towards the odd coincidence.

Second of all, civilization as we've known it has been based on the beliefs of God and the golden rule. You can't say somebody got away with it until you objectively know the facts after death, which some believe in this life we won't know. So based on a lack of evidence, you cannot make the statements that you've made.

That happened in my island 😱. If you haven't done it yet, you should check the crimes of Dámaso Alonso Rodríguez aka El Brujo, that occurred in Tenerife.
PS.: Sorry to be pedantic but the Canary Islands always belonged to the Kingdoms of Castille and Aragon first and later to Spain, once the country was formed. They never belonged to Portugal, France, The Netherlands or England. Dutch and English corsaries such as Horatio Nelson TRIED to occupy them without success. France was never in the picture but a Normand nobleman called Jean de Bethencourt conquered some of the islands under a "señorío" treaty with the Queen of Castille and the King of Aragon. Basically he was named "virrey" and had some rights but the ultimate owners were the aforementioned. There were Portuguese settlers (along with extremeños and Andalusian) but they never claimed the islands for Portugal, they joined the conquest and colonisation under the Spanish flag. And nowadays there are a lot of British pensioners but they haven't claimed the islands yet 😆

This was amazing as usual. Thank you again for all that you do. It must take hours and hours to be able to make a brief case. I can't get enough and I have been recommending this channel to a lot of my friends and family. As far as I'm concerned, this is the best channel on CZcams. Thx BC still very unwell recovering from Covid so feel like Ive missed a few. Gran Canaria was one of the worst holidays I have ever had, it was supposed to be an 'All Inclusive' (my 1st experience of one) but I found that everything was extra - even the air and electric in the apartment which I shared not just with my 4 and 10 yr old but a whole colony of ants! My 4 yr old also got attacked by a parrot and has been scared of them ever since. On the plus side, it was my 1st experience of meeting a Vulture so not all bad! Take care, Love Jessie x

I find it intriguing that a decent hard working man that earns some wealth would keep everything on his person. In this man's case it was a fatal flaw. It's a shame that he felt he had to keep it on him as opposed to a bank.
