Terrifier is an extension of short film Damien made early 2010s. Basically was just a platform Art the Clown. Terrifier 2 on the other hand is more of an actual story. With plot, character developments, better use of the environment and setting, and of course, more gore. Also, the 250K budget was raised in 24hrs by crowd funding.
Actually as Damien Leone said on the audio commentary for All Hallows Eve 2013. Its a separate movie completely it has nothing to do with Terrifier 2016. He started to work on the idea back in 2008 in a short film called The 9th Circle. Then around 2011 he made another short film called Terrifier. Then after that he was approached to work on a movie called All Hallows Eve in 2013. Because he convinced the person to let him make the entire All Hallows Eve movie. So he just took his two short films an put them into All Hallows Eve an made a new short film. Then he had the wrap around story be centered around Art.
Then after that Damien Leone came up with a all new an original concept and . Then he wrote the official cannon start of Art the Clowns story that beings in Terrifier 2016. Then continues into Terrifier 2 an Terrifier 3 an maybe Terrifier 4. The events of anything before Terrifier 2016 have nothing to do with this movie an the movies that fallow it. It all confirmed on the audio commentaries for Terrifier 2016 an Terrifier 2.
You really should get All Hallows Eve 2013 an Terrifier 2016 an Terrifier 2 2022. On physical media an listened to the audio commentaries for them with Damien Leone. Because you get the truth about the movies from him directly.
The hitchhiker short is Terrifier. Just look at the similarities. The 9th Circle had nothing to do with Art. He added the opening subway scene to the first short in All Hallows Eve so Art could be the common thread between the three shorts. 2 years ago he and David were at a horror con panel and he literally said the debut of today's Art was at that random gas station, and he put the same Circus sign he held on the side of the road in the first theatrical release for those who paid attention.

I love these movies! I saw the second one in theaters on opening night and literally the ENTIRE audience left during a certain scene. It was epic! Highly recommend checking it out-it has much more of a story and characters with a little more depth!
These movies don't make sense and I am not sure they are meant to...the third one is coming out soon as well. any way to make things clear Art is a demon who loves to torcher and kill people because he enjoys the pain he can cause and like most demons he can't die as well. These movies are purely for those who love Gore and torcher as well..much like the Hostel movies were and like saw 4 and up became as well. I do not enjoy this type of thing but I do find Art interesting because of all the mystery behind him. It must have been funny for the actor to act in the movie without saying a word but personally the fact that he doesn't speak makes him all the more scary to me. Grate reaction guys as always.

The first is The 9th Circle which came out in 2008, All Hallow's Eve which came out in 2013, and then the Terrifier movies the first 2016 with a budget of $35,000-$55,000, Terrifier 2 which came out in 2022 with a budget of 250,000 USD and Terrifier 3 which will be out 2024 with a budget of 2 million USD.

It seems like a very big building, so yeah makes sense that she couldn't hear it. If she did hear it then she probably assumed it was a vehicle or something.
Why did she go back in the building?
What is she supposed to do? Run down the street screaming for help and probably not getting any help. Also just make it easier for him to shoot her. She knew the cops were coming, so the best thing to do would be stay near, so the cops arrive instead of running away and then the cops aren't able to help. She did the right thing going back in, but she should've done more get a weapon and barricade herself. Of course her not getting a weapon can also be explained that they are far too gentle of a person and wouldn't harm a fly. Many weapon despise violence, so much that they would never use a weapon. Or survival instinct some people have it while others don't
I think you expected too much from the first 2 girls after all they were out partying & drinking, so clearly they aren't thinking straight.

My biggest problem with the Terrifier movies is that people try to make it sound like he's at Jason, Freddy, Myers and LeatherFace S class level of Killer. Which is complete BS because non of them ever used a gun!

This movie part one of the Story Terrifier 2 is part 2 of the story then Terrifier 3 if he can finish Arts story in it fully he will. If he can't finish Arts story fully he will make Terrifier 4 to finish the story.
Because as Damien Leone says on the audio commentary for this movie. Every single killer becomes supernatural at some point. So I start the movie of when Art first sees Tara and Down. You see him as a normal human with nothing supernatural about him in any way shape or form. Then at the end of the movie you see him put a bullet through his head an officially died permanently. He had no plans on coming back to life at all. But then you see some wird electrical stuff happens in the morgue. That wird electrical stuff is a supernatural force resurrecting Art back from the dead. Then you see Art come back to life after being resurrected by that supernatural force. Then an only then is Art supernatural so everything he did before that point. Art was a normal human with nothing supernatural about him in any way shape or form.

This movie is pretty bad it has entertainment value sure especially with the kills oof that was awesome especially the hacksaw kill like damn traumatized but I loved the sequel sm more especially cause it has a great lead and a story. With even better practical effects bc of the increase in budget.

Nonsensical? Sure. But one of the dumbest ever made? Ehhh... This is what happens you have 35k for a budget and have to stretch every single resource. It's just torture porn on a low budget that somehow managed to become popular, another hundred or more worse than this simply didn't. As far as pointless torture porn movies go, it's about middle of the road. The effects don't look terrible considering the budget and Art is at least hilarious at times.
