Italia always does well in final tournaments. Start slow, sometimes barely make round of 16, but then you can't beat them in knockout stages (unless you are South Korea of course and fifa is helping you out). So yes, can do well for sure, won't win due to lack of finishers but as far as final- why not.

Is this Italy full of talent? No. Are they in great form? No. Are they so horribly bad that they can’t win the Euro? No.
Top 5 GK (Donna), top 5 LB (DiMarco), top 5 CM (Barella) , top 5 LW (Chiesa) when fit. And one of the better Managers at the tournament who just recently brought Napoli their first scudetto since Maradona’s title win 30 years ago.
We go through this every tournament, Italy are never favourites, pundits never rate them whether they’re good or not. Partly because the pundits don’t watch Serie A, partly because Italy rarely beat up on teams. But before 2020, nobody thought Italy had a chance - because of missing out on WC and they said our squad was average. And Italy won.
France was supposed to destroy everyone and lost to Switzerland.

@@TT-fq7pl precisely. Look Italy in the 21st century has been a mixed bag. Sometimes embarrassing sometimes incredible. And that’s the difference between Italy and most other National Teams. We still brought home a WC and a Euro in the 21st century. What have England, Belgium, Netherlands done? Zero. The only other European Nation that’s won more trophies than Italy since 2000 is Spain.

The biggest issue for Italy is that we don't have a strikers to finish the chances created. Scamacca came on against Ukraine and although he held the ball up somewhat, his finishing and link up play was bad. There's plenty of time for the Euros so hoping we get some inform strikers by then

there is always hope but this italy side you look at the centre back partnership of acerbi and gatti it is not top draw it seems unlikely bastoni, scalvini and buongiorno are capable of replicating the defence of chiellini and bonucci it is a obvious flaw. par dimarco the fullback options don't really impress which is key for italy as they will have to make up for a lack of midfield creativity. than you consider the midfield jorginho is past his best verratti is out of the picture tonali is banned plus pellegrini is being used a attacking option there is a weakness. they also alluded to the attack you have a decade old problem in which italy have not had a top quality striker probably the last quality striker they had was di natale. scamaca is probably the best striking option at the moment it seems a lot of pressure to put down upon a young player who has just come back from a series of setbacks.
