Hi, im looking to change our software from Vista 3 to lightkey. Right now we have pro 7 installed on 1 imac. But not on the other imac which is running vista 3. Would i need to download pro 7 on both imacs in order for this setup to work? Thanks.

Nope, you can set up network midi between the 2 computers. Then you just add those midi note cues to slides in propresenter and it will send midi commands to the other computer through the network. Let me know if you need help with that. I'd be happy to help out!

Hello, I'm trying to connect two miacs but so far i have been able to do it. One question, do both imacs need to have the same apple id and password?

Hello, to answer your question, no, they do not need to have the same apple id and password. They just need to be on the same network. If you're using wifi, make sure that they are both on the same wifi. After that, you should be able to connect the 2 macs via the audio midi setup like I showed in the video.
      Hope that helps!

@@calebmiller2238 Thank you, i solved the problem, it was actually that one iMac was connected to the WiFi and the other was on ethernet.

Hey Caleb (Kaleb?), once you have your cues set in PP7, if you make an adjustment in light key, does that deactivate the PP7 cues?

Hey Morgan, what do you mean by make an adjustment? The midi commands that pro7 sends are basically just telling lightkey to turn on or off a cue. If the cue is already on in lightkey, then the pro7 command shouldn't cause anything to happen in lightkey. If you're talking about editing the lightkey cues, then that shouldn't affect any of the pro7 midi commands.

@@calebmiller2238 yes, that’s correct. Our lead pastor asked me about making an adjustment outside of what is cues in PP7. Meaning, if we have it all cued and for what ever reason we want the house lights to come back up, will that ruin the cues we have set or can we simply click back on the cue slide and move on as planned?

That shouldn't be a problem. The only thing you'll need to think about is turning those house lights back off. There's two ways to do that. The first is to just click that cue again in lightkey to turn it off (make sure you have the fade set how you want it).
The second would be to make sure each light cue you use turns the house lights on or off. In other words, when you make your light cues in lightkey, make sure you always highlight the house lights and turn their intensity to 0, even if they are already off in the cue before it. This gives control of the house lights to each lighting cue on an individual basis.
      Does that make sense?
