- Lesson 10: Meekness in the Crucible

Memory text: “Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth” (Matthew 5:5, NIV).
Meekness is defined as “enduring injury with patience and without resentment.” Indeed, the crucible is a great place to learn the humility of the heart, for we can be a powerful witness to God through our humility and broken places.
Example of Meekness: Moses, Joseph, and Jesus Christ
"At that time your mouth will be opened; you will speak with him and will no longer be silent. So, you will be a sign to them, and they will know that I am the LORD." (Ezek. 24:27)
Humility is the God-given ability to endure, entrust, and encounter hurts that produce love and care.
Like Jesus, we need to
Endure the pain (Eze. 24:15-27)
Moses was called to endure unending waves of gossip and criticism as he led the people to the Promised Land.
Joseph was called to a journey involving betrayal and imprisonment as he was brought to a service position in Egypt.
Jesus called to lead and train His disciples, but he received a kiss of betrayal and crosses.
Read Philippians 2:5-8
Lesson: Meekness is the God-given ability to endure such things “with patience and without resentment.”
Intercede for people (Exo. 32:1-14)
Two important issues
1. God's offer to destroy the rebellious people and bless Moses was a test for him.
2. Grace is needed when people least deserve it.
Moses was criticized by his sister (Num 12)
Moses was threatened by Korah and his followers
The Israelites ostracized Moses, and he atones for their sins.
Read Exodus 32:11-14
Lesson: In his humility and selflessness amid the crucible, Moses sought grace on behalf of those who didn't deserve it.
Imitate Jesus Character (Matt. 5:43-48; 1 Peter 2:18-25)
Learn on Jesus (Matt. 11:29)
Lean on Jesus
Lovable (Matt. 5:43-45)
Lesson: To perfect in God's sight is to love the opposition, which takes the humility of the heart that only God can give. When questioned by Caiaphas and Pilate, Jesus could have said many things to correct the situation and justify Himself, but He didn't. His silence was a testimony to His meekness.
Conclusion: "Lowliness of heart is the strength that gives victory to the followers of Christ; it is the token of their connection with the courts above." (DA, p. 301)

Nagagamit ko po ang inyong mga pamamaraan sa pagtuturo ng aralin sa Sabbath School Lesson. Pagpalain po kayo Pastor Neki, Pastor Abe, at Pastor Rey ng ating Diyos na Maamo at Mapagpatawad sa pangalan ni Jesus. Amen!

Hi pastor, well said ,in regards of human rights as a whole na pinag lalaban , depende sa pinag lalaban, my concern is what you said pastor. Hayaan natin wag tayong makipag laban, dahil tinubos na tau ni Jesus agree ako nyan. Yung pinag lalabanan ng feminism, we dont know thier motives as a whole it seems thinkable yan. My concern yung bilang isang kristiyano e endure natin yung mga kaapihan, pastor i dont agree na hindi ko ipaglaban ang karapatan ko , na kahit binubuhusan naako ng mainit na tubig , oh inaabuso naako ng tao, d ba may freedom na tau dahil tinubos na tau ni kristo? dba ang buhay natin bilang tinubos ay lumagay sa tamang kinakalagyan? at yan nakikita ko s kultura ng ating lahi ,mapang api , d ba dapat maituro natin mag bigay tau ng value sa tao mabuti man oh masama dahil tinubos na ni Jesus, so kung pabayaan natin ang pang aabuso ng tao hindi ba lalong lisenya nila pra gawin ang mali? As a christian , we are devil destroyer kc may kaalaman tau na galing sa Dios na etama ang buhay natin sa tulong ni Jesus christ.
By all means we should uphold human rights as mandated in our constitution. What we shouldn’t do is to act as if there’s no Sovereign God that’s in charge of everything. Hope this helps… shalom!
