Hogwarts Legacy is set in the late 1800s, taking place in several Wizarding World locations such as Hogwarts Castle, Hogsmeade, and the Scottish Highlands. AppletonOak takes on the role of a student (voiced by Sebastian Croft or Amelia Gething) starting their studies at Hogwarts in the fifth year. The player character possesses the power to control a mysterious ancient magic and holds the key to an "ancient secret" that threatens the stability of the wizarding world.

Anyone else laughing at Oak putting all the tables in one corner of a huge room.😂😂 Great job Oak 😂😂
"That looks good!" as the corner got more and more cramped hahaha.
The room is so huge and he put everything cramped in a corner lol I had to look away
"i need to center things or my ocd kicks in" -> room expands more -> this corner look great for EVERYTHING! (i literally cackled)
i know it was great he is fun
As a 37 year old uncle who started playing games again to feel more connected to my nephews. I applaud you for your fighting skills in the game. 😅 I'm a button smasher when it comes to combat but watching you play and take advice from viewers has really helped me in my own gameplay. I'm glad you are playing through the way you are. This channel is so much fun...
I could have written this word for word except I’m 47 and an Auntie.
Same! Although my battle skills has become better and better. But I was dying waay more than oak in the beginning. /level 31, 31 years old.
Note: In the Map Chamber when Fig says "If only you were here to see this." (Oak asked "who is he talking to?") Fig was talking to himself and referring to his dead wife, Miriam, the person that believed Ancient Magic existed but could never prove it. She is the person that gave the port key that led to Gringotts Bank to George (the man that died in the carriage flight) in the opening cutscene.
He doesn't seem to much into the story honestly i think. I mean, not paying alot of attention
@@provokedfob- i think it’s less about not paying attention and more finding it hard to keep track of everything. Playing a game by yourself and playing one for a video for everyone to see is different, especially when it’s a game genre you’re not used to :)
I laughed so hard when he said, "This is really going to drive me up a wall" because that's exactly what that box is used for hahah
yes, clearly he has no clue what the abiltys he has do,all he has to do is levatate the box and climb on it to get the chest omg seriously does he know how to use a controller ?, i had serious brain damage when i was young from years of epileptic seizures, and people would call me slow...watching this guy.. makes me wonder if i was
LUMOS is a spell. Around that Merlin trial there were 3 sets of moths, you thought they were lacewing flies at first. Cast LUMOS near the moths and bring them to the Merlin trial.
Always examine the environment when trying to solve a Merlin trial. The solution is never as simple as ‘casting all the spells on the rocks’. Good luck!
When he said lumos isn’t a spell I laughed so hard!!!
@@Quas..iI hated that flippendo puzzle - still do even though I know how to do it now!
At one point, when he was running back from the mongrel fight, you could see two distinct sets of moths right in front of him, and I was SURE he was going to notice them! 😂 Alas, not this time.
Lmao that’s how you solve these trials? You’re telling me I beat this whole game and never figured that out? 🤣 thank you for sharing
I'd also add that using Revelio will help you with what you need to look for in the environment
Now that you've got the room of requirement, I'd recommend stopping by Tomes & Scrolls in Hogsmeade to purchase larger brewing/potting tables! This will let you grow heaps of potions supplies while you're out doing other things. For now, you can only put down one of each table, but this will increase based on the amount of quests you do! Soon enough you'll have a whole dang greenhouse in there
Thank You!!! -Oak
Getting a potting table with a large pot would be a great idea to purchase as soon as possible because you will need it to grow something needed for a task.
Much easier to get all the different items you need when money becomes more readily available
Oak, the Dark Arts Arena let's you practice the Unforgivables, which break all shields so you don't need to juggle spells in there!
So happy to see Oak enjoying himself 💜
Ah, I take it you found his OnlyFans! *ba-dum-ching*
Can't help but think he would enjoy it more on story mode - on difficulty settings. If he is finding some of it frustrating.
@@carlyojean4757 I definitely agree. There's really no shame in playing it at a more casual difficulty setting.
I think he'll be alright...he's just going thru a fairly steep learning curve atm. I think a lot of that is because he seems to have a genetic trait in common with my mother. They both seem to seek out the most convoluted and difficult ways of doing things as opposed to the simple straight forward solution. Sometimes that approach can be a blessing but in this game it will often cause you way more headaches than it will do you any good. But again...I think he'll slowly but surely get his footing in the game and be alright, and in any event between the comments section and all the videos on how to do things in the game he certainly has resources to help him if he needs it. I remember doing the original Legend of Zelda as an 11 year old. There were some pretty tough puzzles to solve and we didn't have the benefit of CZcams yet we still got thru it...sometimes figuring things out, especially something you are struggling with is its own reward.
@@carlyojean4757 does story mode affect anything other than how easy it is to defeat enemies? I think he’ll get better with the combat as he goes along but the puzzles can be frustrating
Sometimes a box is just a box. Having to Levioso a box then jump on it will reappear a few more times.
Oh, and you can Accio drops from enemies.
Tip: When viewing the map, you can Zoom in and out to see what those smaller dots actually represent i believe. Don't forget you can use your broom to fly to those waypoint locations faster.
Can also use revelio while flying.
This was what I was waiting for, him realizing just how big the world in the game is.
It's big but he was looking at parts of the map that's off limits 😂
Not really off limits if you have the guts to trek down the and explore.@@FatLittleButterfly
Room of Requirement: This area is a one and done zone, you can't go back later and get these chests. The chests are all logic puzzles basically, how to use your environment to your advantage to get access to your loot. The box you kept levitating at the start of the video - you need to pull it out just far enough to then STAND on it and jump/climb up higher to find the hidden loot above. It reset if you take it too far away from it's intended use location. It's great that you are thinking of creative ways to use the box. The slide is how you are supposed to get down from that area after you collect the loot, the slide is not supposed to be the way up to the loot. Yes you are supposed to accio the bag, use the "target" feature while casting your spell. Also, you need to use the target feature with repairo on the broken item as well. The area with two rooms side by side. You move the box to enter the Right room, from inside the right room you move the box in the left room to have a clear shot at the box in the back of the left room. Then (from outside the front area of the two rooms) target and accio the box with the chest in the gap from the left room and pull the box to you and open the chest. I am really sorry that you got frustrated with these puzzles, Wish I could have helped in real time.
Note: If you add a chopping station and a hopping pot to your room of requirement, they auto generate random potions and potion ingredients.
Oaks face when he realized it wasn’t a chest 😂😂😂
The most awkward placement of the potting table and potion table I’ve ever seen 😂 almost on top of professor Weasley and all in one corner
Hahahaha my thoughts exactly! When you placed it I was like 🫠🫠🫠
I have a problem. Busy finally doing my own play through and doing the Demiguise Moon Statue quest. I was wondering why you cannot access certain areas yet, despite gaining the full Alohormorah charm spell and broom flying ability, as i tried to fly Marunween area ect, but a barrier kept on appearing.
😂😂😂
I mean maybe he didn't want to walk far 😂
@@gerriejordaan8385 Some area of the map don't open up until a quest takes you there
Tip. You can fly while looking for treasure and enemies. Just do the spell to reveal things while ur flying. It's so much faster 😅
Note: There is another shop in Hogsmeade that sells the other potion ingredients you need. It's called Dogweed and Deathcap I believe. My mistake it's Magic Neep
Dogweed and Deathcap only sells combat plants and their seeds, other vendors in other Hamlets will sells different potions ingredients.
The Magic Neep sells plants and seeds for potions. Dogweed & Deathcap sells combat plants; mandrakes, cabbages, and tentaculas
Oh Right the Magic Neep, my mistake thanks for the reminder. It's been a while since I played.
It's possible that someone already told you this, but it's good to check out more shops in Hogsmeade. The Magic Neep you'll need, to grow more plants (Like that shrivelfig fruit). And then there is Dogweed and Deathcap, that has the battleplants and their seeds (like Mandrake and Venomous Tentacula). And you need to stop by Tomes and Scrolls again, because you need big pots for big plants. But don't worry too much, like you can just K.O. a bunch of enemies, make money and buy stuff as you like. Or you can do quests or whatever, just have fun. I hope you don't get stressed out by all these suggestions. It's really fun to watch you play.
He was so distracted by the balloons he didn’t even comment on seeing the Hogwarts Express!!
Wiggenweld caps at 25. You can't carry anymore in your inventory when you hit 25
I am ready, willing, and ABLE!!
So just some tips after watching the episode: If you don't immediately get how to get to a chest during missions, don't worry about it too much because there are never chest that contain such important things that you wouldn't be able to get in other ones. For the merlin trails: they are challenges that you have to solve, sometimes this means just lighting fires but this isn't always the case. For example here: those swarms of lacewing flies were there to use, with the lumos spell you have to transport them to the pillars (same idea as with the butterflies paintings in Hogwarts). Things lighting up in blue with revelio doesn't always mean that you can just use spells on them, it just means that you can interact with it in one way or another. In other Merlin trails you might need to push a giant ball into a hole or stuff like that, you need to use your spells but not always to just blast them on the pillars. Hope this helps and can't wait for the next episode!
Oak, don’t let yourself get so worked up over missing a chest or other items or this play through is gonna last for 50 episodes 😂. It can only be one of two things, some gold coins which you don’t really need, or a piece of clothing that you likely will never wear, and even if you do, you’re gonna replace it with something better soon after anyway.
Cheering at my desk because oak got the door open! 🎉
A cool trick with the map is that you can zoom in more to see more specific location details (this can help you find bad guy camps) or zoom out for more details on larger areas.
Also, sometimes a box is a just a box. Using levioso on it and then jumping can give you a height boost to get you to higher places.
My last tip is just jump between the main quest and side quests as you like. You don't want to get too behind on the main quest because it will unlock certain features, but some of the side quests are really fun and will unlock new spells (unlock all your spell slots! Trust me!). Also, definitely do your room of requirement quests. I am looking forward to your reaction on a feature you unlock through those.
I am absolutely loving watching you play this game and I think it's great that you take advice from others. You and the rest of the Badd Medicine team are so humble and funny. I am so glad I found your original channel. It's the only CZcams channel I'm willing to spend money to be a member for! Keep it up!
Oak being so careful to play as a true Gryffindor, but then all smiles when he uses Avada Kedavra!!🤣🤣🤣🤣
How to find enemies? Zoom in on the map, the triangles turn into symbols, some of them locations of bandit camps. They usually have sweet loot, too. Have fun! ;)
Usually, you don't get those curses unless you chose the right set of dialogue as you play through the Sebastion Sallow quests, but while you play in the Dark Arena, you must have access to those Curses temporarily.
I'd be happy to watch you playing for hours, days, months.... play as long as you like. I'm loving it..
Tip: Merlin Puzzle - you need to "lure" something to each of the 3 blocks (spoiler: yes it is lumos spell since you specifically asked - similar concept as the "moth to a flame" portrait puzzles you have already done)
*Tip for flying* : you can enable inverted controls in the settings if you're still not use to the default way
I did this right away!
I just learned to use the controls as is, now it is difficult to play other games with the polarization different than HL.
Oak:
has the three unforgiveable curses.
Also Oak:
uses levioso
Note: the unforgiveable curses can destroy any color shield.
For the Merlin Trials. You went with the right approach trying all spells and, ironically, the one you needed you found right at the end after nearly discounting it. But also remember to take in everything around you. What looks odd? Does anything stand out? Is something hidden? Maybe it's not just the obvious rocks but something else you need that's nearby. The Merlin trials are puzzles, but they're all different. For example, the cauldrons you had to light on fire which is more obvious and you can try ALL spells on that part, but you also have to work out the timing to complete the puzzle. Oh, I would also recommend having the boys sit in with you on and off mainly because it's great seeing you guys bounce off one another, but also two heads are better than one and another perspective always helps in certain situations.
The main side quests that are really good are poppy’s and natsai onai. Those are very good that have the most action and “story” in them. Also helps you get to know the characters more
I would recommend doing all the professors “assignments” bc they will give you spells (that I remember)
I'd argue Sebastian's as well. I enjoyed his story quests more than the main game.
yeah I second this, Sebastian's storyline was the best of all of them@@Allaiya.
@@yannickvandeven7806 I think natsais was the best but to each their own
@@Allaiya. yeah I thought his stuff tied into the main quest a lot so I didn’t mention it but I think the ending to his quest line is separate from the main story
@@trevorsmith572 yeah fair enough, what I loved was that the different storylines were all very different so there really is something for everyone. And I did love all three tho, there were no bad ones! :)
The Merlin trails can be any spell except the six green spells. Can also be some you haven’t unlocked.
This Merlin trial was actually one of the easy ones. Bring the moths to the pillars with Lumos. If you don’t notice that the moths appear after you drop the mallowsweet leafs on the swirl it can be difficult.
Note: You can use Revelio to help you spot the balloons easier.
AIM YOUR SPELL at the bag using some key (look in your controls). You can precisely select which object your spells are aimed at. Those bags can be moved using accio or depulso.
Any objects you break just stay broken. You don't have to repairo them. I know they should've been able to repair in real magical life 😅.
With console controllers the AIM key is usually the left back trigger (L2 on Playstation or LT on Xbox)
The box with rings you usually use Accio to pull it out, then use levioso to climb up on it to gain extra height so you can climb on a wall.
FYI on the map at the bottom let's you zoom in the see "map triangles"
Merlin trial hint: think moth to the flame
As a 35 year old woman, I never thought I’d enjoy spending 3 hours watching someone play a video game, but here we are. Your videos are so enjoyable. I’m a little obsessed, LOL. I have no knowledge to impart on this game, but man do I love watching you play it.
Remember that in some tasks, like the Merlin trials and some of the quests, that purple circle appears in your minimap. Everything you need to solve the trial or quest will be within the area covered by the purple circle. Can still be difficult in quests that have multiple floors like Hogwarts since you may have to move up and down as well as around. Doing the trials will increase your gear capacity so they are worth doing, extra gear slots helps on the longer quests. I would hover around the purple area on my broom to spot the various components of the trial and revelio will highlight the components of the trial.
If you want to target something with your basic or spells in your set. Press and hold the left trigger, you will see a small round circle and then you go into targeting mode. As towards your talents, use them on spells and core for now till you get to level 22 or thereabouts and use a couple in stealth, this will help you creep past enemies and also sneak up behind them to use pretificus totalus (pardon the spelling), this helps you take down smaller enemies in one shot for example, goblins, Ashwinder Assassin, Loyalist Assassin, poachers etc...
You can only use petrificus totales when your in stealth and very close to an enemy while they don’t suspect you
To unlock doors that say level 1, 2, and 3 you need to learn Alohomora. There’s a person near hogsmeade called Gladwin Moon. Talk to him
This opportunity only unlocks in autumn
He isn't even near Hogsmeade then but in the castle.
Oak, a couple tips that will help you out in your journey. Be creative with how you can possibly use your spells. Both in, and especially out of, combat. Spells like Accio and Levioso (as well as the rest of your spell set) will be needed to solve.
Is something far away? Try Accio. Is something too high out of reach? Is there a platform you can use Levioso on? There was a section in Jackdaw's tomb you skipped over in a previous episode that was meant to teach you how to use Accio to pull yourself along while standing on levitation platforms. That is something that will continue to come up if you want to solve puzzles. Be creative and use your whole spell set. Think outside the box. It is going to be a very frustrating journey if you can't get that down. You've missed a ton of chests, and if you keep it up gold is going to become a major issue. Even when you can't use it, gold from sellable gear is a major source or gold.
Also, when you use revelio, it is a good idea to do a quick 360 of the enviroment to try to see everything around you. A lot of times you use revelio and only look at what is in your frame of view when you cast it. Revelio will highlight everything in a certain distance even if you're not looking in that direction when you cast the spell, so doing a quick 360 rotation of your camera helps you see everything revealed to you by revelio.
Some suggestions about the Room of Requirement (formally the room of useless crap in bags):
- Create 3 or more potions tables in a row or polygon and by the time you start the healing potion at one end, it will be done by the time you get to the end.
- building your room on your own may be better, getting the furniture perfect is a perfectionist's nightmare. Wizards apparently enjoy the haphazard nonsense Home and Garden aesthetic. So maybe play to that aesthetic and try not to think about how many pixels off your pixels are?
- don't get too precious with the design right now as you will change it as you get more unlocks. Keep it practical for now.
- potions won't explode if you leave them alone for days on end so top off your potions before you leave the room.
- max out your automatic crafting stations once you get them as they will multiply your yield by how many stations you have.
The spell sets are handy if you group them for specific uses - like a spell set for room of requirement, a spell set for beasts (feeding, catching ect) a spell set for battle, and then a normal spell set for lumos and revellio - general exploration stuff
Yes! I’ve been waiting for this video to drop
A useful tip: you can use revelio while flying and in addition to its normal affects, it will show you the same icons that you see on the map for a long way around you so you can see where things are.
The plants you can just harvest them every time you come back to the room so long as it's been long enough. I recommend getting the spellcrafts for the three medium pot table and the two large pot table, from the shop in Hogsmeade they're a bit more expensive but really are the best ones to have. You'll also want to get the rest of the seeds that you don't have, so that you can have at least one of each plant growing. There are still at least a few eye chests around Hogsmeade that you haven't gotten yet for some quick money.
The hopping pot, chopping station and refiner are other good things to get for the room that you can then collect from at set intervals. Those are limited to 3 of each in the room. The refiner will help you get the moonstone to cover the cost of the conjuring the others.
The dark arts arena was a little bonus for the special edition so you could go and try out the unforgivable curses even on characters that don't have them. There are two other battle arenas that you just use your normal spells and have different enemy types. You can gain experience in the arenas, but just from challenges that you can also do elsewhere in the game. I think the only thing they give that's exclusive to them is a few appearance unlocks.
Yesss caught it in the first few minutes! Just what I needed after a rough week❤ and three hours no less
Here a few Tipps :
The "Zombie" Guys can only be defeated if you apply a fire spell on them beforehand, then you can defeat them with pretty much anything, however if you attack them without them being on fire they are invulnerable.
Your Gear and level doesn't effect the outcome of a fight that much, rather your ability to maneuver/reposition yourself during the fight by using evade and jumping around like a bunny, instead of being stiff and firing your spells standing in in one place making yourself an easy target, try to always keep on moving during the fight.
Regarding the Dark Arts Battle Arena, you are suppose to use the unforgivable curses because they are OP, and will make the fight in this challenge that much easier!
Merlin Trial with the stone: Can only be solved during the night using lumos bringing the bugs back to the stone with it.
Some enemies use summoning area attacks, these are not blockable, so if you see the ground light up in any way where you're standing, it means it's time to move out of there by evading/running elsewhere.
Can be solved during the day... just more difficult to see.
@@bannonstanksWAIT WHAT! FOR REAL?! 😱Never knew that, thank you! 😲
You need to learn to target items with the left trigger button, you can pull things towards you with accio. The boxes with handles are meant to be pulled and used levioso to able to climb on to get something above.
You can have 7 potting tables/7 potion stations. Don't forget potions class and herbology green house. You might also find an eye chest at the end of green houses
Sometimes you have to accio and levioso a box to get to a higher place. If a box disappears and goes back to its original place you probably are doing something the game doesn’t want you to do / doing something wrong
31:02
*Eventually, after many tries, the fox sat upon its haunches and remarked “What a fool am I, to spend so much time and effort, all after some miserable sour old grapes!” And he went on his way, leaving the plump, delicious grapes hanging just out of his reach.*
Please, Please, play to have fun! You do you! Love watching your personal experience. I know from watching you personally watching the Harry Potter movie series that you truly looked forward to playing this game. Don't forget those Merlin Trials will increase your gear inventory size, so it is very helpful, don't have to stop to sell so often. Remember, HAVE FUN!!
Note: the Door puzzle's second spinning disc is located up the stairs around the corner from the door itself. There are always 2 discs to spin if you don't see one you have to search for it nearby.
Literally perfect timing! Came home from work, opened youtube - uploaded 45s ago
As a non-veteran gamer you might not be aware of some common "tells" designers use in their game worlds. If you see scrape marks on a vertical surface, that's a pretty common indicator it can be climbed. Sometimes straight away, sometimes you might need to boost your height somehow first.
Definitely don't sleep on the RoR potion talents. A buffed Edurus potion makes you COMPLETELY invulnerable for several seconds, whilst a buffed Maxima potion will allow any spell to break any colored shield bubble. Really powerful effects.
Also, they really should make the fireflies light up with Revelio to make it obvious you can interact with them on that trial...
As you like to Revelio stuff up, when you cast it, make sure to look all around you, sometimes stuff is either up, down, or nearby.
You can use it while you are flying too, and it hits a greater range if you do so.
Also, there is one of the talent points that helps you to expand the range of your revelio.
The mini map on the left down corner is YOUR FRIEND: if it shows a spiderweb you will fight several spiders, it it shows red triangles: those are enemies of any kind (wizards, spiders, mongrels, etc), also there are some caves, dark battle arenas (as the one you found), locations of floo flames, among many other things.
Regarding floo flames, you have to get pretty close to them to make them available. If you are not close enough, you'll miss them.
Hope it helps! continue enjoying the ride! :)
👏🏽 yess to a 3 hour video! Let’s go
Oh yes! Just thought earlier that it is definitely the time to watch Oak enjoying the Room of Requirement! *excited bouncing*
Oak, remember that you can utilize all your spell sets during a battle, switching between them and using more spells. Spells have to recharge, and while the spells in one spell set recharge, use the spells in the other ones.
Don't underestimate the cabbages haha they are so useful in battle if you don't feel like working too hard
When you are on the map, right trigger zooms in. The left trigger zooms out. The full zoom out tells you everything you need to accomplish for the entire map.
Merlin’s trial. It was lumos. You had to bring the firefly’s to the stones with lumos.
My playtime was 65 hours for reference 🤭 so very much enjoying watching you play. I laughed to myself when you went to battle without thunderbrew on your ‘thunderbrew’ specific mission. Enjoying watching you figure out flying more!
If you want to find enemies faster - you can fly around high up and drop in around the red marks on the map. Don’t forget to revelio on your map occasionally WHILE you’re flying! It can show where field guide pages are.
That Merlin trial you couldn’t get - you were on the right track at the end :) what kind of bug does light attract? Direct those bugs over to the pillar things using light.
The zombie things are inferi - there was a pop up that mentioned needing to kill them with FIRE. Otherwise they will not stop attacking.
Puffskiens (sp?) will come with time when you progress in the room of requirement.
Already mentioned in another comment that you responded to, but def go to tomes and scrolls/dogweed & deathcap/magic neep to enhance your brewing/potions in the room of requirement. Medium/large potting tables are essential.
Locks level 1 will come in a mission later on!
You should try sneaking up on enemies with the invisibility spell to kill enemies in one hit
Whoever decides to play RDR2..(Red Dead Redemption 2) will need to put serious time into it and get really invested.
They also will have to have played a lot of other games.. its less puzzles and more reaction and adapting skills with decision making and free roam aspects
i don't recommend it for people newer to gaming. its definitely grounded and an impressive game movie and world
Thanks for the uploads!
All 4 of us will be doing that one. 🤘
@@BaddMedicineArcade be warned red dead is not like very action packed in certain times. There are hours of just riding round on horses. the story is great but its a slow burn so be wary.
@@BaddMedicineArcade oh now that is going to be chaos lol
@@BaddMedicineArcade Sweet! A proper cowboy posse!
I will watch infinite episodes of you playing this game.
Take your time.
Honestly, some of the most popular Hogwarts Legacy play throughs are LOOOOOOONG because there’s so much to see and do in the game that, unless you’re trying to speed through, most people want to see all of it. They want to see your enjoyment and awe at the little details and see you improve the more side quests and wandering around you do. Sometimes it also makes it easier to do the larger quests when you’ve practiced or advanced the smaller quests before advancing with the trials.
..
All in all, it’s YOUR game and that’s why we watch :) Take your time and have fun!
yesyes! Looking forward to this episode, can't wait for the reaction to some of the story because things will get interesting! Glad to hear you're still enjoying it, we are!
Oaks face during battle be killing me 😂
Small map tip in the Field Guide - you can toggle between Hogwarts, Hogsmeade, & World by tapping left or right direction buttons ⬅️➡️
Aw you look HAPPY again playing. We love this ❤
Oak with the chest and the ledge had me dying laughing 🤣
So for the pots and plants in the room of requirement, you just plant something and go leave and come back, not wait😂. The potions are much faster, that’s why you should get a lot of coins and buy more medium and large plots to plant better plants.
This game should’ve won best soundtrack, the music in this game is fantastic.
Flying tip: You can cast revelio while flying; This helps so much when trying to find objectives :)
The Mooncalf you can't do anything with right now but you'll go to a class later that will explain what their part is
Hey Oak! Loving your playthrough. When you have the map open, you can zoom in to see what the little triangles are. I don't know what the buttons are for the Xbox controller, but it should say at the bottom right of the map how to zoom in and out. Happy gaming!
I think its right trigger on xbox controller :)
Don't know if anyone's told you yet, but Inferi (the dead zombies) only die to fire damage or ancient magic attacks. Hope that helps!
This is a blessing to see. I'm sitting here all bundled up with the flu wishing I just had some comfort stuff to watch, and boom, you upload :)
Just one quick tip: Accio and Levioso are commonly used to solve puzzles. Especially for climbing high walls. You'll come across them a lot. Others, less commonly used, are Incendio and Depulso. I suggest you play this game more frequently, I noticed that you tend to forget things you'd already learned before.
Another thing: You can use Revelio while flying to find missing balloons.
Oak you should set up several potting tables and potion table so you can grow and brew several different things at a time. That’ll allow you to stay stocked with all the different plants you needs for your potions and your fighting plants.
I enjoy watching the side quests! More content!
Exploring is the best way to gain the ingredients you need for potions. Also recommend once you accumulate an abundance of ingredients add a few more stations in the room of requirement to utilize your space and optimize on your potion quantity.
You can always discover new floo flames locations by clicking on them and flying to them on your broom. The grayed out parts of the map are free to be explored, you won’t always need to floo flame to the same spider nest. Thank you for taking us along on your HP adventure!!!!
Oak, a lot of questions you ask are answered within the game...read the screen. It tells you (while you are on the map how to zoom in. Zoom will let you see areas in better detail, thus showing you what the "triangles" are on the map. Sometimes they are an animal lair, sometimes they are bandit camps, etc. Also...in the dark arts arena, dont get away from the dark arts spells. They will break ANY shield color. Imperio will cast the i perius curse on an enemy, basically making them a temporary allie (great to use on a troll, so they are helping you for a bit). They can help get rid of some of the enemies, so there are fewer for you to deal with when imperio wears off of them. Also, diffindo and Levioso used on the same spell set are great together for most Dugbogs. (Use the collections tab to look up how to take care of different types of enemiess).
When I got back into gaming (Arkham Knight) I was hopeless, the onscreen info and menus were too much so I ignored a lot of it to start with. It’s a lot of information when I was still having to think about which buttons I was pressing. Watching Oak can be hilariously frustrating, I just keep trying to remember what I was like playing Arkham knight 😂
@Setheth I am in no way a "gamer." I hadn't played video games since NES. I am 60 years old, and my love of the Wizarding World made me buy this game and an Xbox. Reading the screen has become invaluable to me. In my first run-through, I didn't read it much. I MISSED OUT ON SO MUCH! Now, I try very hard to look on the screen to find answers to the many questions I have
If you hold LT then you can easily pick exactly what you want to hit, alter, conjure, etc.
And if you want to change how the walls, balcony, floor look then again hold LT and aim it at the wall or whatever you want to change and press RT
swift is the best talent
I usually don't put very much stock in the sorting quiz, but you are for sure a Hufflepuff 🤣❤We're the best house 😋 You're doing great man! Don't be afraid to just move on if a puzzle gets too frustrating, you can always come back to it 😁
Finally. I have been waiting. Please keep going the way you are. It’s so entertaining to watch. I think the side quests make it even better.
still waiting for detroit, cant wait to watch that too!!
They're playing Detroit now! Part 2 is out!
1:38:39 had me ctfuuu *cardi b voice "what's is that!! Wtf is that? What is that!" 😂😂😂😂
Right as I wake up? Right in front of my breakfast?! Thanks, Oak!
Oak, a few quick tips. 1) revelio yourself around Hogsmeade and you'll find many of the chests with the eye... they each have 500gp in them (there aremalsomseveral in Hogwarts). 2)In some of the Merlin challenges, you'll need to lead the green butterflies to the stones. 3) You might need to go to other shops than Pippins to get ingredients. 4) on the map, use the L and R triggers to zoom in and out, you'll see better what thos white diamonds are. 5) You can revelio while flying your broom
It’s great to see Oak enjoying this game. I wonder if the whole bad medicine crew would like to play all the Hogwarts Lego games.
You drive me CRAZY Oak. Especially when you don't use the map to floo flame and puzzle doors you must look up stairs.
Looking forward to this. Seeing you discover the room of requirement ❤
It’s so funny how he adds an “io” or “ia” to everything 😂 I’ve heard him say Diffendio, Filpendio, Descendio and now ✨Venomous Tentaculia”✨
