Watching all the professors come to battle felt really epic since we talked to them, took their classes and knew them personally through quests. To me it felt like watching avengers come together.

Anyone else get choked up over Professor Fig? I was expecting a twist all game that he would somehow be evil, so when it didn't happen, he went out a great mentor.
I dunno why I thought Fig would betray me but I felt so awful for suspecting him afterwards. He was a real one and I was so distraught over his death
I completed it last night...I just sat there crying. I played for like two hours longer before my controller died and that whole time I could only bring myself to talk to Professor Weasley after. I visited his classroom and office and I've just been in mourning, traveling the castle for field guide pages.

I felt the need of a ending where you destroy the power. I didn’t want to consume that power I wouldn’t know the long term repercussions. But I also think keeping that thing hidden will only delay the inevitable: someone following Isidora’s footsteps, I can’t live forever and one day someone like me will show up in Hogwarts again. I felt like the “good ending” was for nothing

it was more industrial or 'nuclear; waste kept contained till it decomposed -- more created by misuse of the 'Real' ancient magic rather than being the ancient magic itself - i felt from the storyline (and had been missesd on an industrial scale)
@@BringDHouseDown the main reason this game is in the late 1800's it's because they could do whatever they wanted and without known characters involved. And also, the selling point was to play as yourself and our own story. Why would they go for the exact opposite in a hypothetical next game and so late historically? Besides, if they made a second one I bet I'm not the only one that would actually like to play with the character we created for this game, mainly because a lot of people already stated they actually would like to graduate Hogwarts. saying maybe the next game would be 6th and 7th year. I think two years seems too much though, So i wouldn't t care if they skipped sixth year explaining that nothing interesting happened over that year. They've already got a really good foundation, they just need to fix things and add some others not jump more than a century to continue.
I felt bad for Anne and Seb. I really wished we could save her somehow.

It would be great if there were different endings for Seal and Harness. Like for the Seal Endings, you all survived and succeeded, one of you dies, both of you die, and you don't succeed. In Harness Endings, either you harness the power and use it for good or evil, or you fail to harness it and die. Depending on your relationship, Frig dies or lives.
Expansions or quidditch would add a lot to the game maybe multiplayer to some extent too. The game has an insane amount of room to add literally anything could add stuff for 5 plus years if they wanted to

The storytellers & developers clearly played it safe with player choice because they have sequels in mind.
Unwise to do drastic consequences like that in the first game. You can make those when you wanna end the franchise. Them leaving the door open so to speak is wise.

It's funny how different the neutral and "evil" endings are when it comes to Fig's death. You could easily miss him dying in the "evil" one when the rocks drop on him.

I loved the game, but I’m really bummed that most choices don’t change anything, there’s so many ways it could’ve branched out and changed, I sincerely was disappointed there was no option to join rookwood, I also was bummed that taking out Harlow really didn’t do much. Truthfully the last quarter of the game felt unfinished to me. I really do think they ran out of more time. The game we got was still a great adventure and I’m glad I played it.
Same, I loved the game, but since the end could've been more, I think that just makes it way more possible for DLC to happen!

Was anyone else expecting the game to just be longer? I was hoping for at least a couple years at Hogwarts, like becoming a Prefect. So I could actually build my “Legacy”.
As its fifth year I do hope it's a trilogy

I mean there is still so mutch you can do after main quest challenges the map side quests and stuff but yes i hope they will extend the game somehow because it felt really short but time flies when having fun🤣

When the professors show up it gave me goosebumps and made me feel like I was in the battle at Hogwarts in Deathly Hallows Part 2! 🥺 it felt so powerful!
I got a third dialogue option, stating I planned to use the power for myself. I went full dark wizard in my playthrough, so I guess that's where it came from. My guy was like "It belongs to me, and I'll use it as I see fit."
How'd you get that option?

Same. I also got one. An option where it is my power and I use it how I want (cutscenes are same though).
I was a rather nice wizards story wise (also did many sidequest).
But I went full dark arts and tried to always help Sebastian concerning Anne (trying to heal her).
I also took some of the "worse" dialogues with the keepers especially the fourth one.

I didn't even notice in my "evil" ending that professor Fig died. That was really anticlimactic. Like he just fell down a cliff on the side. I thought we'd see him later again, cause we also survived it.
Looool after reading your comment I rewatched the bad ending and looked to see Fig fall down the map somewhere until I understood you just meant it in a metaphorical way 😂
I chose the "bad" ending because I thought containing something just because you are afraid of it didn't sit right. Using it without understanding it is not right either. I don't think the Keepers or Isidora were completely right or wrong, to be honest. So I wouldn't say there is an evil/good ending. To me learning about that magic seems more appropriate than keeping it contained so someone else at some point can deal with it.

Frankly I wanted to destroy it by the end of the game. I didn't want the power, but I didn't want anyone else to have said power either.
There is a huge potential for DLC, also map has so many empty places.
I choose to harness and keep the power.
It was semi good/evil ending.
Keeping it for personal use/defending weak but not abusing it like Izydora.
So can I play quiddich now professor black?

If you keep the power to do good and only you know how to use it the right way it's a good choice, and yes, for sure there's gonna be dlcs, a quidditch one for sure, the option is there, as there's a shop and a field and the devs know now that we really want it 😂
I saw the the raw emotions she extracted to be a drug that she got addicted to the point of her becoming an Addict doing anything for her next big hit. Also Ancient magic wasn't just for pulling out emotions but seemed to do with building Structures and control over the whether.
The entire events of this game took place because that power was locked away. If you don’t harness it, it’s bound to happen again with the next villain. Opening the power is definitely the smarter way to go.
Ya, open it and put it to good use before the next villian that figures out what it is tries to take it.
Remember if we were to release this power, that it may alter the course of history. Grindlewald and Voldemort could become far more powerful if they stumbled upon the ancient magics our character and those before possessed. Somethings are better left well enough alone.

@@solidmoon8266 You are presuming that is an option. We don't know what would happen. Isadora using it only made it grow more powerful and dangerous. There is no 'using it up', as far as we've seen.
I knew when I began this game that he was gonna die by the end of it, but damn, it's so devastating, he's such a wonderful character.
For some reason I expected him to be evil working with the others and turn against me in the end HAHAHHA

it just depends on what path you want to follow
at the end of the day theyre all "good" and id even say the "evil" ending is the best one because your character doesnt abuse it like isidora.

i thought the evil ending made the most sense, why hide it away just for someone else to find it again someday? it made more sense in my mind to absorb it into myself so that it would die with me. plus i dont plan on trying to take anyone elses emotions
Yes they are. That ending at the end is clearly the bad one since that magic can't be controlled and used without repercussions. The game made it apparently clear that this is an evil path. So tell yourself whatever you want, taking the power is the evil path

Game was great but the biggest disapointment that the hold roll/dash button doesn't change to black smoke once you choose the Evil path, I was honestly waiting to zip around like a death eater the entire game :(
No doubt the game is a massive success and a good start but there are definitely elements that need improving - I’m excited about sequels and hope they get deeper into rpg elements like the kind of disappointing skill tree (each spell should have have a tree to itself or a deeper charms/dada/transfig/herb/potions/defence skill tree that rewarded using each set of spells to unlock better versions) as well as better writing for the characters and conversations.
I feel like the good ending works best with Gryffindor and Hufflepuff. And the evil ending works best with Ravenclaw and Slytherin.

Just finished the game and chose all the evil paths and I’m VERY underwhelmed with the ending but still fun just coulda been significantly better
I just hope because of how popular it is there's going to be multiple expansions that polish the game. Maybe we might just get Quidditch or maybe not at all. Either way, this deserves a sequel. A full trilogy would be good so that your choices carry over and fully impact the game like Mass Effect, I don't see much point in the story otherwise.
@@benjaminclarke7984i agree this story is too straightforward and not enough player choice for there not to be a trilogy. They clearly played it safe and left some things open for future installments. My guess is if fan demand is high for a trilogy it’ll happen.

Well this game does seem to have a lot of you being repaid for your kindness. Such as the one time I didn't choose the "pay me bitch" option when doing a sidequest the villager just got happy and paid me anyways. Really was a lot more fun though when I blackmailed that one kid about his dairy or didnt give the leaf to the dude that got bullied.
The choices in general were underwhelming.
mechanics like using beasts just for materials and selling the offspring even the ridable ones were just for materials since they were worse than using a regular broom.
combat plants too, should've been part of the spell hot bars and do little when used compared to not.
Without any sort of relationship system there's no point in being nice to anyone because it affects nothing.
Even though you can learn and use CURSES whenever you please, it affects nothing

I don't see how the "bad" ending is bad. It's not a question whether the character ends up being corrupted by the power, that's irrelevant. What's more important is whether the power is kept there or not. Like, if you pay attention to the story, what the FUCK was the point of having the "keepers" if some random goblin in a random era just woke up and decided "man I really want to get that stuff" and then pray for another keeper to just waltz in to save the day like they want the MC to just do. It's a sitting duck, either it is there or it's not. And seeing how the MC is practically irrelevant in the HP lore in hindsight, he probs doesn't do anything worthy of note with the power, he'll just live with it, do whatever, and die of old age or something; the power dies with him, and Hogwarts no longer has a huge target painted on it for at least another century until Harry winds up in the school.
You missed the 4th ending… if you do Sebastian’s quest line, you get the option to use the power for yourself. It’ll literally end the same way, just different dialogue from your character and Fig if that’s something that matters to you. 😂😂🤷🏻♂️

Okay so I got an ending i haven’t seen anyone else get? When Fig asked what I was going to do, i said open it. Then he asked why and I had a third option I haven’t seen anyone else have. I said i want to keep the power for myself. There was no “oh imma open it but use it for good”. She was just straight up like yeah i want to use it for myself. And Fig was like “you can’t be serious”. And then the rest was the same as the other “bad ending”. I used all the killing curses and did some questionable things in my playthrough, probs why the game gave me the evilest option hahah

This game seriously going to need many more DLCs.
Gameplay is awasome. Storytelling is awasome. But game feels very short. This map has so much more potential. There is not depth at all.

Caves and treasure vautls can be much more. There is no haggling when selling your equipments. All beasts gets sold at same price. This is so much dumg.

I find it interesting how when you initiate the conversation with Sebastian, he is hunched over (probably sad because of his failure at the side quest?) but once he is told important information, his postures becomes upright.

Not all bad endings have to end with the world burning.
It's not a bad ending. People are probably just assuming it's evil because your character's eyes glow for a second or two. Nothing "evil" about using power for good.

As ive reached the end of the game already, i must say the levels got more intense as well as the duels
Before the game came out I fully expected the evil ending to be me forming an allegiance with Ranrok.
I went for the evil ending and was kind of disappointed that I didn't get to cure Anne and that there were no repercussions for my actions e.g. being expelled or worse.
its the game where the choices are made up and the actions have no consequences.

Now after watching the ending, it comes to my mind if voldemort had won the battle of hogwarts he would have found the source.
it still seems like there are no confirmed plans for any dlc, but seeing people's ideas for what they could be is so cool. Adding quidditch could be fun, or more dark arts related content, but more than anything I just want some kind of resolution for Anne's character. It doesn't even have to be a positive ending, but things were left SO open I just don't get how they could NOT give some sort of closure. It would be really nice to heal her, especially since I think Sebastian's storyline was the most compelling, or have some kind of repercussions for choosing whether or not to open the repository. The lack of ending for that was really unsatisfying to me, but I can understand that there were quite a few things that had to be scrapped if the developers were running out of time like the unfinished companion framework, I'm just surprised a main storyline is one that lacked enough priority to finish before release. But who knows maybe it was purposeful and will have some kind of tie in with Legacy 2 if not included in a dlc??
I love this game so much though, it was really really fun and the open world was awesome, I still think everyone who worked on this game did an amazing job. And at least we have mods like the Companion one on Nexus to keep playing with after the main storyline is finished! If no one's got us, the modding community sure does

i wish the game had a longer story kinda and more spells, and when i finished the whole story line at level 28, it took me so long to get to level 34 to get the ending sequence bc there where no side missions left i wish they would add more quest or maybe some dlc in the future

Really? Was 33 by the end but i also did the field pages and most of the side quests except for like 3
I just did battle arenas over and over again they level you up pretty quickly
I leveled to 40 after the last fight, before Cup cutscene. But by that time i also had 100% completion on Collections and Challenges (maps 100% complete), so it adds up in the end i guess. And i agree on longer story, it's never enough story :D
Finished the boss fight at level 37. The leveling still seemed quick to me but I did all the quest and had about 83 percent total completion. I also loved fighting ij game so I would often stop to fight random dark wizards, goblins and trolls
They need to do a lot more work on this kinda thing in the sequel. Let us be truly bad if we want & see the repercussions of that, expand on the dialogue npcs have ao they can be more suitable a response to your actions. Same goes for your character you can be casting avada kedavra one minute and the next minute you’re like “oh terribly sorry to bother you professor”.
In all honesty, opening it might be better. Not harnessing all of it; just opening it. Fig is worried of the power that ancient magic holds, but in all honesty, ancient magic is only visible to few wizards anyway, and while it can be used for bad, it can also be used for good. Magic as a whole is neither good or bad, but I don't see Fig complaining about it.
Incendio can be used to light candles, ovens, fireplaces, and it can also burn paper. It can also burn people alive.
Diffindo can be used to cut fabric, perhaps give the wix in question a haircut, and it can also cut off fruit from a tree. It can also be used to cut other people to pieces.
Even lumos, the seemingly most friendly spell could in theory be used for bad. It can light things up, but make it strong enough, but it close enough to a wix's eye, and you can blind someone.
Magic is powerful in itself, but no catastrophe happened just because those with the power of magic were taught how to harness it. Yes, the unforgivable curses exist, and much harm can be done, but thats what magic is. It has done more good than bad in my opinion, and teaching magic in itself is also to prevent people from unknowingly use magic in a bad way. In the same matter, those with a talent for ancient magic should be taught to harness it, what it is; even perhaps those who can't harness it should at least be taught what it is in broad strokes. This way, at least accidents won't happen, and if the regulation of ancient magic is good, then acts like those of Izydora can be prevented.
We shouldn't try to hide ancient magic, put it in a box and say it doesn't exist. Other should know what it is, and ancient magic should be able to flow through the world; however, those who can harness it should be taught how to wield it properly, and should be shown the things it has caused in the past before. Our MC could be one of the first to be such a teacher; they could give trials, memories and other lessons in ancient magic, perhaps as a painting later, so that new generations understand what it is and what it can do. This way, there will be no accidents, and while bad can be done, who knows what amount of good it will do. Miriam is the OG here, and I'm going to continue her legacy. Her hogwarts legacy.

I love how I’m playing the game four times (each for the four houses) and I made my Slytherin character a sort of antihero which made it so difficult to decide which ending I should pick for her. However, I love Professor Fig too much and I don’t really want to hear the disappointment so sorry Fig but I’m killing you off xx
fig dies in every ending, what are you even talking about, none of the choices in this game make a difference. its just a bunch of propaganda against white people. fun factoid. the school actually has more black and asian/indian students in it than white, and yes i went around and counted. also there are more black/asian/indian professors than white ones. its just one big propaganda puff piece.
Idk about the good ending but i noticed after choosing the bad ending, my normal spell attacks look exactly like that dark red ancient magic. Could be overthinking it but I just noticed when I shot down vines that I thought fire could only do.

I actually noticed the same!! Just as I was going to start the final quest I got Natty's last owl, thought "I'll do it later, wanna finish this already". Chose the "open/share the power" option and then when I went with Natty to fight Harlow my attacks came out with a red glow and thought "Wait am I tripping or is my magic red? Did I drink a potion? No I didn't wtf, what's going on?" then again I was using Imperio on some guy so maybe that influenced it?

This game could have been amazing but they had to make the main character the biggest NPC in the whole game
Honestly, the ending I’d want (at least for my morally ambiguous Ravenclaw) is ‘I’ll keep the power and die with it instead of leaving it in this dingy cave to be stolen by goblins next month’. As it is I don’t like either official ending for her so I guess I’ll pick the ‘I’ll release and keep the power’ super duper evil guy ending even if that’s not how I see it. The lack of development in the final chunk of the game is very clear given that there’s a lot more ways to handle this predicament than what they’re presenting to us.
“Good” Ending: Leave it alone and keep the power hidden for another 200 years like the Keeper’s have been doing. I don’t see the point of this ending unless you plan to just wait on the problem and go ‘if I don’t look at it it doesn’t exist’. Plus, IMMEDIATELY after you say ‘I’ll keep it here’ Fig is like ‘Maybe I should tell everybody’. Bruh
“Evil” Ending: Absorb the power and keep it for yourself. Like I said, I’m thinking of picking this ending for my Ravenclaw and rewrite it in my head that she’s holding the power so no one else can use it and will die with it. That may not be how it works, but the game doesn’t feel like specifying how it works so I can do what I want. Roleplay, baby
“Bad” Ending: Release the power and share it with the world: Definitely the most reckless ending if you don’t consider the ‘unlimited powahhh’ ending the evil one. We spend all this time being lectured about ancient magic, most of the time leaning toward ‘stay away from that crap’, and then we go against everything and release it lol. I can understand doing this for Anne’s sake, though, or the previous ending, but personally it doesn’t make much sense to me given what we know.
Overall the endings are mid, some would consider them downright bad, but I’m not that harsh since the rest of the game was enjoyable (except getting every collectible oh God) and I wasn’t looking for a super deep story anyway. The typical ‘my expectations weren’t high to begin with’ response for me, and that’s when you decide to rewrite the ending in your head and ignore what everyone in-game says ‘cause they don’t get there’s other options
when the professors show up i literally get chills. was yelling in joy when it happened for the first time
ya i was yelling WAKANDA FOREVER! when the strong black african teacher came up, in a 99.9% white scotland. i was so happy and jumping for joy! praise black inclusion! fun factoid. there are more minorities students in this game than white people. you gotta love it, and yes i did go around with a paper and pen and count the students, there are more black and asian / indians than there are whites. also there is not a single hispanic student.

God I wish I knew what song was playing at 1:15 during that run scene. I remember trying to fight all the goblins I could during that scene just to hear it more.

i really wanted to see more stuff related to ancient magic, we did all the trials to seek knowledge, but all we got was the final vault. I expected to arrive to some sort of library or be bombarded with memories of how to actually use ancient magic in combat or to build, I feel that this part of the story was abandoned

Hm I went bad but got parts of the good ending in this video. Black's opening on the houses was the same, but then, instead of getting interrupted, he went to the part about Figg being an adventurer mispronouncing Miriam's name, Weasley's speech was the same I think
My Ravenclaw character(First Playthrough): Chose to seal the power but intends to bring in friends/allies to further understand and study it later.
My Hufflepuff character: Chose to seal it and keep it that way forever.
Slytherin character: Release the power because it's hers and the Keepers were wrong.
Gryffindor character: Release the power in hopes that it will be safe in his hands and he's brave enough to wield it.
Today I finished the game and I rate it an 8/10 I picked the evil ending but in the end it doesn’t really matter what option you pick

There should've been an option to somehow destroy it, it doesn't feel fully complete knowing someone could come and take it after the player passes on

I have a question. How did the teachers apparate to the location underground? They are under Hogwarts, and no doubt they came from inside of Hogwarts. I am not sure if the goblins messed with it, but Ronen says they somehow evaded the defensive charms rather than broken them.

Fig literally says as you go into the chamber the protective charm only goes above ground not under but he says something along the lines of going forward they will be making sure its above ground and under..... also all the teachers know where to go as fig says he sent them a owl telling them how to get access to the map chamber where they will be defending from the goblins

Personally I really wanted a true evil ending like he obtains this magic, learns how to use it and instead of using it for good use it for self gain and just kill everyone who knows of its existence. Like full on order 66 the lot 😂. Sound horrible but that is a true evil ending, what's so evil about unlocking it and using it for good or not unlocking it and gig dying 😂

Ok I'm a little confused. Which was the good and which was bad? Looked like Fig died in both but it wasn't mentioned in the ending where you use the power. I didn't understand how it seems like the ending where you use the horrible bad power that you were trying to stop the hole game is the better ending. 🤔
I must clearly be the only person who didn't see a transition between 1 ending and the other and it all just looks like 1 continued quest so I'm so confused seeing people talk about it in the comments

it's all determined by your choices and the devs did say your house depended on it as well. (i cant remember if the house thing is true so ignore me)
Fig asks what you are planning to do with the Repository and you answer. That's it. That's all you have to do.

As you're walking towards the red bulging mass, he casts a spell in your back to which you instinctively Protego. You turn around with a glint of madness in your eyes.

"Bombarda!" He yells, his wrist slightly flinching. You deflect again and again. The last spell packs more of a punch as Fig s resolve grows. He would not stand idly and watch as you deytroy Miriam s dream. He was wrong for training you, grooming you into the witch he so desperately wanted you to be. He would heed his advice this time. But for the time being, he has to put an end to your plans... to you...

You raise your wand, channeling the soul stealing spell as the ground shakes anew. Ranrok got to the repository first and he's transformed. There ensues a 3 way battle between you, Fig, and the now dragon formed goblin. It's an epic battle for the years to tell, and every cheap shot you can take at Fig, you do. Till eventually, your true potential awakes and you overcome your two opponents. Ranrok is reduced to mere lumps of misty red flesh, whereas Fig is now being lifted in the air, unable to fend for himself. With a flick of the wrist, you disarm him.... with the first spell he's ever taught you. How poetic
"You... pathetic old man..." (you utter with the right amount of disgust)
"Y/n..." (he nearly whimpers)
"You thought you could stop me... shackle me like Percival did with Isidora, but you were wrong.

I took that power for myself. Not in an evil power hungry sort of way, it was the logical thing to do, nobody else should be able to have access to it or use it. Its too dangerous and too unstable, i thought having it in me would prevent any other maniac from acquiring it, and i that i would use it within inconsequential reason or not at all and hope the power dies along with me.
I mean the whole point of the story is that it was a bad idea to hide it, someone found it and a lot bad shit happened along the way, it was obviously A MISTAKE, another method is required.
I will never understand the point of resealing it, peoples brains were probably like: *hmmm the ancient magic that was sealed centuries ago was found and used for evil purposes, the plan did not work, what would be the best course of action.... SEAL IT AGAIN LOL*

The game has a great dialogues and voice acting in the spanish version. The game great character development with poppy and sebastian, and ranrok is unpredictable as it should be for a villian. What the game failed was on giving good conclusions to the characters and to the story, rookwood and ranrok just die? No final dialogues or anything? Lol but hopefully the next game improves its conclusions better

There is no evil end. Just slightly less good. Your character in the "evil" ending insists they want to use it for good. Hardly evil.

You can speed through the main storyline if you battle a lot. It’s all about your level. If you do all the side quests it takes forever. But you get the gryffindor wins ending

As a Hufflepuff I’ve chosen the evil path. Because I’d prefer to become someone I’d rather enjoy being then being someone that I’m not. & because it’s fascinating to see a “Good House in Hogwarts” to have an evil wizard in their mist. Which really made me happy. But overall I wished I joined Rookwood, Harlow, & Ranrok in conquering the wizarding world side by side as an unstoppable prodigy / apprentice / master underneath them. That would’ve been ideal/legendary to glue me to the game for more. But I’m hoping that they make a Hogwarts Legacy II because the first one was amazing and I want to continue playing it.
