Loving these tips and explanations.
Years ago I used to “borrow” my sisters tights to go under my tracksuit bottoms when it was cold. Only problem was when you used to need a wee lol
Merino wool is an absolute game changer. Expensive, but worth every penny.

Haha, when i started mountain biking I used my wife's tights also, they were white with black dots.

There are lots of cheaper options, just have a hunt around, its more of a guide to types of clothes that I've found to work for me. Merino can be found really cheap if you look about and its a game changer for staying warm.

Agree. A few years ago I took 2 Merino T-shirts with me on a 2 week hike with my son in Romania. I swapped T-shirts every day for 14 days . No odor problems without washing them once. Those wearing cotton T-shirts could be smelled from 5 meters away at the end of the day. Greetings from Flanders!@@GrahamFootBicycleLover

When I've tried sandals for mtb I had problems with brambles/nettles/tall grass etc attacking my toes so I gave up on the idea, are you just putting up with that or avoiding it somehow?

If you watch any of my ride videos in the summer I have sandals on, bramble, bushes, nettles, rocks, up and down any trails. all fine, you might b=get the od scrach but nothing to worrry about, I get worse on my arms from the brambles
