Also wear pads when you learn to drop in. You will fall, you will get scretches. They might not be bad, but they will hurt, give you more fear next time and might give you some hard weeks. I wear pads, but I recently couldn't walk for a few days due to impact on my left knee. It was really swollen.
If you just start learning (good and fitting) pads make things a lot easier.
And yeah, I look like the baby at the local (medium sized) halfpipe. But most other people just sit around doing nothing, while I actually skate, and that's worth it for me.

Then I decided to try the 3’ transition, by all the rules, and IDK what happened, except it felt like someone dropped me out of an airplane and I landed with my wrist(blowing the wrist guard loose[saved from fracture]), my tail, and hip demolished in the process, and screaming like a thousand babies! This experience has made me not want to try that curvy transition again. I have made an earthquake shock absorber(rubber inflatable donut) to strap on my hips, but I still don’t want to try again! 😀

oh my gosh, you are very good at explaining, I got a relative friend and her brother is is maybe like 5-6 he went down a relay steep ramp and when he falls he gets right back up, he has pads and a helmet and he isn’t even scared, I was scared to death I only went on the baby ramp which made me kinda upset Cause I REALLY WANTED to go on the big ramps but I was scared so I’m going again this weekend and hopefully I’m not scared anymore 🍎

I love trick blades and skatebord...to me . I was quicker to drop in on blades bc i was already use to skating as a kid with roller skating and cheap regular blades... i was afraid of the skateboard flying away from me
