I've since found out, that, aftermarket stainless needles were installed when the V&H Longshots were installed ....the stainless needles where the emulsion tube orifices into an egg shape, causing fuel to basically overflow into the carbs. The only cure is to remove/replace the emulsion tubes, which can only be done by two people, apparently, since the tubes are not available from Mikuni for replacement. V-Twin Thunder, in California and Gman Industries in Washington state. Mechanics I've talked to here in Ontario, Canada say the pressed in tubes were the worst idea Suzuki/Mikuni ever had ...gotta agree...new replacement carbs cost nearly $500 each here!! ;(

    I have an 87 intruder 1400
Gas also pouring form the rear carb in to the airbox causing a leak from the overflow.
I’ve had the carbs rebuilt with no luck.
    Any help would be appreciated

Shim up the stock needle's and adjust the air/fuel idle jet to match the higher flow exhaust. The carbs are fine, the kit is is wrong!

You also may want to (if you didn't already) eliminate the air by pass system.
