This week has been hell for the Minty Maniacs. It’s clear that Minty Mint and the swinging mace have beef now.
The rare times we actually want the darn thing to move and it just stays still!

It was the minty maniacs who took the mace for Mandarin. Otherwise, we’d be trading places. I think Minty Mint may have a crush on Mandarin to take the mace to the face.

Is Mandy sponsored by cardiac surgeons? Weaving between being in the top, to letting everybody pass, to getting back to the top and over and over and over in this run had to have given Rangers fans everywhere palpitations.
No one's talking about it but this week as been particularly brutal for Snowballs too. The only other team aside from Minty Maniacs to have consistent single-digit scores every day! We really have to pull through tomorrow!
Proud of the O'Rangers for stepping it up in the last two races to secure a spot through before the elimination race.
Greg Woods did mention something I pointed out early on is that how important consistency is going to be in order to survive this event. It is now even more important than ever before
Speaking as a Limers fan, we don't need consistency! :P
This week's track has a -1.0 point disadvantage if you start on the leftmost two or rightmost two positions.
It is a +0.1 point advantage if you start in the middle four positions.
And Mandarin managed to avoid elimination from exactly that (leftmost) position. Good job!

The Oceanics really needed this high finish.
I was confident through the week, Sea will get it, even with these more traditional Oceanics results. This confidence was a strange feeling as an Oceanics fan, but Sea earned it and this was the proof

@CyberBlastoise if Snowballs get 2nd, Oceanics still make it on overall position count back. Snowballs need to get 1st, -and- primary need to come 2nd for oceanics to be at risk
Oceanics just need to finish 12th or higher to be safe. Any lower then that and it depends on where the snowballs (and other teams between them) finish
@@johnhamilton6003 *13th. If Oceanics come anywhere but dead last, they get to 46 points - and while one of Snowballs or Primary could beat that if they got 1st, the other would max out at 45. Even if Oceanics do come absolute last or DNF, the only situation in which they're out is if Snowballs come 1st (46 points) and Primary get 2nd (45). If the opposite happens (snowballs get 2nd, coming to 44), even on a DNF Oceanics win on position countback against Snowballs (one 2nd place apiece, Oceanics have a 9 pointer compared to Snowballs' 8)

In think they need to be a bit more aggressive. They seem to be a bit Canadian and let other marbles go ahead of them first.
@@MrGeldhart Mandarin seemed to be using their light weight as an advantage, getting knocked *into* place rather than backwards. More development of that strat could be just what they need to keep themselves in a better spot week-to-week.

Assuming the worst and Rezzy DNF's next race, Primary needs to come 4th, Snowballs need to come 3rd, and Minty Maniacs at least 2nd to overtake. 2/3 of these teams need to achieve that to survive. I think (and pray) Rezzy's good, but this week is still too close for comfort :(
Bro if the Limers finish on the podium despite having b2b DNFs that would be an all time comeback in marble sport history lol. It seemed like they were totally cooked after event 3. Popping off for 40 points in 3 events to come back from that devastation is wild.
It all depends on getting at least double digit finishes.
Theoretically they could even win the week 😅
And it would also be a back to back podium finish. And this is the limers we talk about.
But i am proud of them, no matter what happens in the next race!
Mandy is safe! Wow what a race, a great move off the line, immediate get knocked back to end, the a slick move back ahead of many, only to allow most back by, back and forth all the way down, but made the finish count!!

How is the chance of DNF this track vs previous ones?
@@JJ-on3yv On the high side. It was about 3-4% on most tracks. This could be due to the track design, but it may also be due to the low number of marbles (so any one DNF has a bigger effect on the ratio). As the sample size gets smaller with each week, it is expected that the percentage of DNFs will show bigger swings -- even if the actual probability doesn't change.
There is no way to know the actual probability of a DNF (not without looking at 1000+ *real* races), so it could be either.
@@JJ-on3yv As we get to the last few rounds, I will probably include an upper limit for the chance of DNF (somewhere around 8%, I think), just like I already have a lower limit in place (1%).

Orangers fan here. First off, it feels weird being safe with a race to go. But second - I'm feelin bad for the Minty Maniacs. I hope they find a way to advance in spite of the terrible luck this week. Marble racing can be a cruel mistress.

I think it's official. The position of the trigger lever on the maces is inappropriate for this particular course. It's not being hit consistently.

In last place at 1:08, engaged the demon-fuel device at 1:10 to move directly down into 3rd. Politeness demon resurfaces at 1:34, demon-fuel device engaged again at 1:58 for the technical section Mandarin usually struggles with... bam. 4th place finish, and safe for the week.

It's not all lost for snowdrift. They can still pull through. However, their performance this week doesn't promise much!
Slimelime 3rd with 2 DNF's is impressive.
Sea only gets eliminated tomorrow if Snowdrift gets first, Aryp gets second and Sea finishes 13th or last, assuming neither Jump or Rezzy DNF.

Snowdrift on the ropes. He simply needs to beat Aryp (by more than one position) and Minty Mint tomorrow. That's all it takes. Hopefully then next week would be better for him.
If the O'Rangers can just get through a couple more rounds I can see them getting up the top of the standings as they are looking quick but are terrible in traffic and with less marbles there will be less to hold them up.

Has been weeks since a can watch an elimination round without fear!!! Gooooooooooooo'rangers!!!!
With less marbles, these trigger traps have less chance to be set off, which is pertinent for the maces as one of the only traps capable of fully catching marbles.
Clearly the race officials didn't properly test this round if, out of 5 DNFs, two were the exact same. I expect the Mintys will be making inquiries how this could happen
