🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪 Greetings from the Emerald Isle of Ireland,I use truck tyres with the inner walls removed, place on concrete, fill with rounds and split away, keeps all the rounds inside the tyre, and great way to save your back,
I used the X27 to chop wood in a tire this weekend. It worked GREAT! Ich habe das X27 auf Holz hacken in einem Reifen an diesem Wochenende. Es hat super funktioniert! He utilizado el X27 a cortar leña en un neumático de este fin de semana. Funcionó muy bien!
Just a tip for next time take some landscape spikes and drive them into your splitting round on an angle out the top to hold the tire from coming off. Nice work and a great axe 👍
Put just two or three tyres of appopriate size around the log you split wood on and that will solve the problem of one tyre slipping off continually, won't it.
I agree with the tire method being what you would call a pain in the ass, "Edward James".. Coming from someone who can split a whole cord of Madrone in little under 1 hour i know from experience that any thing other than just setting your 16 inch piece of wood on the ground and chopping it is a waste of time and energy..
The tire method seems like its more of a pain in the ass than good. I'd get pissed off if the tire kept falling off the chop block. Secure the tire maybe?

I own the same axe. It is really good, because it is both long and light, so it produces great power.
Keep splitting.
Klaus
you made no effort with the swing and it still split, brilliant video
