yea, i could have gotten a BMW or a Mercedes or Ford Focus ST.. but you know what? i got a 2013 Cooper S Coupe and still do not regret it for a single moment. once you drive one, your hooked. it can't be explain.. you must try one and then you can hate on it..
plus, i prefer owning a car that is unique and not like every other car on the road.. to each his/her own.
Thnx for saying that I have been thinking that since Mini unveiled it
I bought one of these babies late last year, Red with black stripes JCW 2011 model. She was second hand with 20,000kms on the clock. By far the best fun Ive had in a car. My husband has to tell me to slow down on the corners all the time, she just grabs the corners like theres nothing to it! Theres so much room in the back too for luggage so this baby will certainly be used for holidaying. I get a LOT of comments on it and the main thing I love about it, is its just different from all the rest. They stopped making these in 2015 so these will be rare in the future. Mine is certainly going to be my keeper.
Do you still have it
@@husky2423 I sure do, she has 71K kms on her now. Still an absolute blast I've never driven anything like it and nothing compares.
That’s awesome I love to hear it. I just bought a 13 with 100k miles yesterday
@@husky2423 Nice what color? There's heaps of Facebook pages that will teach you how to look after it. Mini Cooper DIY, Mini Cooper Forum, Mini Vooper Mechanics etc.
The top reminds me of the football helmet bowls we used to get at Dairy Queen in the 80s. But actually, i like it!
can you do a review for the 2013 lexus gs?
buying cars is not just about logic, its also about emotion.. even if there are more cars of better value out there but they don't excite you, its pointless.. you buy this car because you like it. period.
can you review the regular cooper coupe with the base engine, i mean not everyone has the money to spend more than 35K for a small sporty car.
i would like to see a review of the base and the S model
thanks
Mitsubish Evo-X, Subaru WRX STI, VW GTI or Golf R, Fiat 500 Abarth, Nissan 370Z, Mustang GT, Camaro, Challenger, Charger, Lexus and BMW so whats the incentive here to get this car at that price????
Thanks!
Great point. People who are passionate about Minis or huge fans might pony up for one. I love them and think they rock, but I would only get one used that's been depreciated reasonably. Also, RWD is no good for me as a daily driver in winter. Half that list doesn't make sense as competitors. Sure, pricewise they're better, but some are heavy, AWD/RWD, bad on gas, etc etc. There are lots of factors that play into shopping these cars.
tl;dr, it's expensive, but worth it for some
Nice review, but I do think the price is too high and that roof just looks a mess at the rear :o(
Nice review. For those that scoff at the purchase price, keep in mind that it is a premium sports car made by BMW. Complaining about the purchase price makes you appear either jealous or a bit poor.
I like it have one
Only MINI I'd consider, maybe behind Countryman perhaps.
VIVA MINI:)
True...but they dont share the same styling in my opinoin...
The price depends on the model you get.
So the rear spoiler comes up at 50mph? Lol that means if your spoiler is up while city driving the police know you're speeding and can pull you over.
Shove a wide body kit on it, slam it, paint it brown and ya good
Mazda Miata vs MINI Cooper John Cooper Works ??????
lol @37
Ahh okay that's not bad lol
$37,000 for a loaded one? Seriously......You could get a Subaru Impreza WRX STI for that much which has more space, AWD, and better reliability.
But you wouldn't have as much fun driving
the end of the roof and the back just looks horrid
even though i'll rather buy a mini than the Fiat 500, i think i will rather buy the fiat 500 Abarth for $27k than this mini for $37k
37K?????? Sorry I will take a GTI or GLI over this anyday. Wait, even a Bimmer one series!
JCW Coupé, not Cooper JCW Coupe lol
37k there such better bang for your buck in other vehicles
and rolls royce lol so yeah cdcruizer.
Too many options! Car companies are learning that making less packes with more content saves them money. For $37,000 you can go all out with this mini but why the hell would you want to? Take that $37,000 and get a infiniti g37, get a mustang 5.0 shit you could even get a loaded 330hp hyundai genesis coupe and have money left over and go fast, be happier. This is a waste of money. Nice car and nice try mini just bad pricing!
For $37000 I would go with mustang gt. It would rape this mini in a second.
For 37,000 I could buy a mercedes or bmw or lexus
first the worst, second the best, third the one with the hairy chest.
bmw is mini
Well, bmw owns mini so technically you are owning a bmw...
dang that thing is ugly
