    Hey bud, keep messing with that trans break. That's the only way you're going to hit 1.5 to 1.6 60ft. Also gt500 specs just came out. They are all proud saying that it will run 11s. A few more days and you'll be in 11s with half the cost and all kinds of room to mod. I was a little disappointed in it. 750 hp with like 650 tq. That's awful for the build up they gave it. I was thinking some factory competition for the demon not the 1320. Mopar all the way.

    • @dillionjohnson5545
      @dillionjohnson5545 Před 5 lety

      The GT500 will probably run a 10.9 but yes I agree with you. 760hp and 625tq. 0-60 in 3.5 for the shelby.

      @@bigboreracing356 you're on drugs man, they never make enough power without redoing everything but the crank. GM is way behind and Ford is cranked from the factory with nothing left to give with out MAJOR upgrades. Notice I said major. The cars making that power are stripped down to the block, new pistons, cam, rods most of the time, heads, etc... I build motors, I know what goes into that stuff. You're in a fantasy land. These ford engines like the gt500 have such a high compression from the factory that you can't reliably turn up any more boost with out a big risk. That's why they take them down and lower the compression to throw more boost in it. By the time they're done it's no longer a coyote or predator. I'm sure it does well on a road track but everyone knows when it comes to raw torque the whole way through the range mopar is all by itself. And if that's case why are guys "demonology " getting ready to break into the 8s and hasn't opened up the motor yet?

    • @sonsofliberty3081
      @sonsofliberty3081 Před 5 lety +1

      @@bigboreracing356 you know what else is sad. This 1320 edition is a natural aspiration engine meaning no forced air yet. And its times are right there with a gt350. Crazy huh, and it will take 8lbs of boost yet easy.

    • @sonsofliberty3081
      @sonsofliberty3081 Před 5 lety +1

      @@bigboreracing356 don't know him and don't really care. The fact that you think 16 to 1700 hp is "streetable" is enough for me to know that you don't know what you think you do. Just because you technically can run it on the street doesn't mean you should. And like I said the only thing "coyote " about that engine is the block and crank. Nothing else. Just a 5.2l block they built out of mostly aftermarket parts because Ford either doesn't make it or is 5x more than aftermarket. Look at mopar. Go buy a family 4 door with a 345 ci and find a wrecked 392 intake manifold, bolts right on. Take the clutch fan off and get a wrecked v6 electric fan, bolts on and plugs in. You can buy a base rt and the guy that doesn't have a shit ton of money can start building up his car. Ford or Chevrolet can't do that. Hell, they are doing away with the camero over the next few years.

    Loved the video warts and all. Showing your mistakes while learning a new car is very much appreciated. Now that these have been out for a while it appears the best times are run without the transbrake and without the launch control. Just do a proper linelock burnout to heat the tires, use the foot brake to bring the RPM's up to 2,000 give or take, and hit it. I finally reached 1,500 miles on my new Scat Pack and will run it for the first time in Vegas on April 30th. Mine is a single seater 1320 with zero options. I did a couple of practice burn outs on an isolated road and was a little timid on the first one so it wasn't great, but the second one was perfect. Then I did a few WOT standing starts and it just went up in smoke in 1st & 2nd getting a bit sideways in the process. Tires were sticky hot, however, still at regular street pressure so hopefully dropping them to 20 psi give or take will fix that, plus the fact that I was on a regular asphalt road and not a prepped track.

    The electronics do take some getting used to. I did a bunch of vids with different experiments and it likes the foot brake best it seems.

      @MoparInsiders  Před 5 lety +1

      I've seen a few of your videos, you've got that thing dialed in pretty well. Hoping to get down to similar times as you shortly. 👍 What are you launching it at off the footbrake 2K?

    • @DemonChild
      @DemonChild Před 5 lety +2

      Mopar Insiders Ultimately that’s where my best runs came in at. I tried several different combinations and that’s what it seems to like best. I did get a solid trans brake run in but it was no faster than foot brake and as you may see, it can be difficult to do launch with it in a quick manner. I kinda have it down-pat now but there was just not any advantage to using it. The way I got it was to program the following term in my head: Paddles, gas, 1-2-3. One is left paddle (release), 2 is left foot (release) and three is right paddle (release to launch). Paddles, gas, 1-2-3.

    See! My Scat Pack does that same shit man so I don't even use the pos feature so I just hold the brake and hit that throttle hard lol. My launch control won't f@cking hold it jumps the light like everytime and in all honesty I've never used it successfully so I gave up on it and plus I've seen other Challengers have that same problem and it blows because the Mustang 5.0 plus the Camaro SS have a beast of launch controls so us Challengers are heavier plus a shitty launch control when they have ones that actually works so we gotta " tree them " properly and get ahead off the line

    Why is there a back seat and a passenger seat in your car? The main advantage to the 1320 package is the weight savings offered (300lbs) by deleting them. You really need to learn how to use the transbrake before you make these videos.

    • @MoparInsiders
      @MoparInsiders  Před 5 lety +2

      Driver seat and passenger seat weigh 120 lbs combined. I know how to use the transbrake and demonstrated it in a previous video. I tried it once at the track and did over rev so it kicked me out of transbrake but since the track wasn't holding just launching it off idle the transbrake would have just made matters worse.
