he was supposed to be boarding American Airlines flight 11, the first plane to be hijacked and crashed into the North Tower of the World Trade Centre

@jumnei5159 no, they were armed with box cutters. It seems ridiculous now, but at the time no one had considered suicide bombing by plane so the idea was submit and then negotiate once on the ground to prevent loss of life.

It's so good to me how this show manages it's tone. It is irreverent and crass and incredibly violent with some real pathos built in. The show isn't afraid to explore different sides of characters than you've seen, it's not afraid to do things that would piss off fans, and it's also not afraid to have genuine emotion.

Can we just talk about how this clip alone also just shows how narcissistic he was and how big his self love complex was. Even with the information of 9/11 he didn’t just let everyone know about it to save their lives, HE wanted to be the one to save everyone and let the event happen just so HE and only he could stop it himself and get all the glory from it. Just remember, Brian has such a big ego he would let 9/11 happen just enough to the point he would and had to be the only one to stop it lol. Going back in time to stop the attacks isn't as easy as it seems. You would have to accept the fact you could be sentenced to death for potentially being suspected of being in on the attacks and could have been accused of being a terrorist that got cold feet. If you admitted to anyone you were a time traveller you would also be ordered to plead insanity

It was actually cancelled due to low ratings (ie. not popular) when Adult Swim picked up the reruns.
That was way after 9/11. So Seth wasn’t even a high value elite figure when it happened, he really didn’t have anything that notable or valuable attached to his name at the time.
Unless some conspiracy wacky rich people government agency time traveled to ensure he missed his flight (which, why, and I don’t think Family Guy of all things would be of their top priority if they were real) then it really is just pure cosmic luck or fate that he missed the flight.

@@jacobsmith6048 Now I didn’t say it was done by the government, but if I had to guess how deep any conspiracy would go with it, I’d say while the terrorists did plan it out, with rising tensions with the Middle East and the technology at hand, there’s a very high chance the US intelligence knew they were planning an attack or even knew what kind of attack it was going to be. However, they decided to let it slide and whatever happens happens because they wanted a war as much as the terrorists did, and they wanted to take their oil.
The government couldn’t just swoop in and start the invasion whenever, there would be mass public backlash, coming off the heels of the failure of the Vietnam War, and just wining the Cold War.
They had to let the public perception of the Middle East turn extremely hostile and xenophobic so the majority of the public would “feel safe” about us sending troops there to prevent further attacks. Using the horrible tragedy as a fear mongering tactic to always justify endless war and control over other countries and the public narrative, like they did with the Cold War. The military industrial complex is a business. That’s why they’re trying to start another conflict in the background with Asia again so they can fear monger about them. Even if these groups and governments are extreme and dangerous, the US government fuels the flames on purpose. I’m not saying the government was directly controlling the actions of the terrorists, but they controlled the hostile environment to provoke them to attack, knowing they will and wanting them to.

Ok hold on a sec, Brian may have stopped the first plane from crashing into one of the towers but there is no way he could have stopped the other planes from being highjacked, the other one would have still hit one of the towers, who knows maybe they would have hijacked another plane in order to hit the other tower, also the pentagon would have still been hit as well.
