  • Sit back, relax and enjoy the peaceful sounds of the workshop in this series dedicated to dreamy ASMR-style bike build videos. Chilled Builds blends the arts of bike building and filmmaking to showcase beautifully unique custom bikes in a calming format.
    - Jimmi D
Originally from Cardiff, South Wales, Jimmi quit university to pursue his dream of becoming a rockstar. When this inevitably failed, he fell in to a Finance career in London.
Looking for escapism from a corporate life that didn't suit him, in his free time he became obsessed with running, cycling and filmmaking. These passions eventually lead to the creation of his clothing brand Attacus. Jimmi exited Attacus in December 2023.
Jimmi now leads a quiet live in the beautiful North East countryside with his wife Emily and dog child Bella.

Nic co-founded Backyard Bike Shop following his departure from the British Armed Forces - where he continued to race bikes.
Nic is Afrikaans first language; he actually only started learning English at the age of 9, and completed an Ironman in flip-flops because he forgot his trainers.

I wasn't excited about the Campy groupset, but I like the aesthetic of the frame, and I was pleased to see a rare mechanical build. Shame about the Rube Goldberg "integrated" cabling.

Unusual to see someone start the bar wrap from the centre of the bar....

I saw someone on here do it a few years ago, and since then I’ve wrapped all my bars that way. Very clean looking with no tape on the tops.

Man I hate the selle italia model x saddle. Too grippy, tore up my bibshorts. Everything else is beautiful. Enjoy Jimmi!

I have a real soft spot for Basso but all the proprietary parts put me off actually getting one 😬

Ekar and Levante are pure porn.
Integrated cabling must be a nightmare for the end user and would make me choose a different frame.

I have a Palta and was wondering if you guys know if there is a suspension type stem that would work with the internal cable routing. I emailed Basso about the Red Shift stem but they said no.

@@marcosbueno9026 1) its impossible to have the cassette indexed all of the time, but more importantly after a ultra event or weeks bike backing my finger and thumb struggle to chase the mouse around the desk for 2 weeks from the changing of the gears.
