I think u meant that king Menilik took tabot to the war because of our strong Christian background, And the largest portion of our population ( I believe over 60 %)is still Christian and Muslims make up 1/3rd of the population.

In the US(if you guys took AP World History), we learned specifically about king menelik and the Italian invasion, and also how Christianity came to Ethiopia, and yes there is a lot of Muslims too in Ethiopia 🇪🇹 in Addis and in the east.
